Great Golden Era Golf Course
Druid Hills Golf Club has a great course that holds the traditions of the Golden Era of golf from the early 1900's. The course was totally restored by renowed course architect Bob Cupp in 2003.
It is a private club and you can only gain access by playing with a member. Origianlly built in 1912 it is one of the 3 first golf courses built in Atlanta Georgia. The greatest amateur golfer of all time, Robert Tyre Jones was the 1915 Club Champ at a tender age of 14.
If you ever get the chance to play it, be prepared to have your short game at its highest level. The cousre is 6800 yards form the tips, and has 5 sets of tees to allow many skill levels to enjoy it.
