My stylists, Stephanie and Hobbs, are the best! They really know what they are doing and have such enthusiasm for what they do. And at a time when I have to stretch my dollars, they are such a value! I mean, $50 for a cut that grows out perfectly and $88 for perfect highlights! You can't get a better deal. A+!!!

I have been here once only. It was very nice and staff was super friendly. Services were good. A bit on the pricey side.

The new talents division is really good and quite economical. I've paid more for sh*tty haircuts. They're very friendly and do a great job. If you want a cut see Jolie, she's very cool. If you want color, see my girl Mandy. She's a superstar.

I’ve been going for almost 2 years now and have loved every cut, color and wax that I’ve received from the new talents. I’ve gone through a few people with cuts (moved to other salons, moved out of town, etc.) and now see Kirby, she’s fantastic and really listens to what you want and is more than happy to give ideas. I’ve always seen Ari for color and can’t say enough good things about him. He’s a true gem and if he were ever to leave I’d have to follow.

I started going to this salon when I was still in high school. If you want to feel like a queen for a couple of hoursthis is your place. I especially love Khia for color!!

Nora has been highlighting my hair for 2 years now, after I had to "break up" with my old salon when they fried my hair. She is awesome and does an amazing job with my highlights and always listens to what I want and has great suggestions.

I recently went to Van Michaels for highlights, which look pretty good for the price. My only issue is with the staff itself. The guy who did my hair made me feel like an idiot when I asked for lowlights then went on this long spill about asking for something you don't really need. He then went on to ask who had been doing my hair and critiqued everything about it. I thought this was very unprofessional to talk badly about someone else work. I personally think it looked better when I have gotten it done in the past at my old salon, and got many more compliments. I also witnessed a receptionist roll her eyes after she turned away from a customer she was helping; just plain disrespectful and rude. This is a service industry and you have to know how to talk to people not just be good at what you do. I’m sure the entire salon is not like this, but all I know is I didn’t have the best experience.

Van Michael is much larger than any salon I'm used to going to, which may seem a bit cold and pretentious at first. However, pretty much no matter who you're going to go to, you'll get a great cut. My stylist is Elle, who just moved up from New Talents, and she's down to earth and great.

If you don't want to fork over $50-$60 for just a haircut, try out one of the New Talents. Most cuts are around $30-$40.

I went to a new talent, Kelly, and she was just fabulous. She actually just moved over to the other side and she deserves it. I loved how she took my too long, too-much-one-length hair and made it thinner with cute layers - it's even easy to style. It was super clean and energetic with a great vibe there- i've found my salon in Atlanta - yay! Oh and bonus - if you love Aveda products it's an Aveda salon - fabulous!
