Merged to SCAD
I liked ACA and when SCAD took over, it became even better. It was a small school with very limited resources for students. The small size made for one on one attention. Nice.

Wonderful Classes by Stacie H. at InsiderPages
In my ongoing pursuit of a viable hobby, I have signed up several times for classes at the Atlanta College of Art. This school is located right behind the High Museum of Art and has either street or paid parking for students. The first class that I took was Beginning Woodworking. After the first class, I dropped out because the class was clearly not geared towards beginners. I signed up for an Oil Painting class that I loved. The teachers are artists in the community and good at what they do. Be prepared to spend some money on materials but it is worth it.

PROS: Wonderful Classes
CONS: Not enough for beginners to learn

Incomparable!
The Atlanta College of Art, which has just merged with the Savannah College of Art (SCAD), has offered me the best artistic training I could have found in the city. I highly recommend their instructors and courses if you're serious about art!

Good place to pick up new skills
I took a commercial art class that was taught by a professional working commercial artist and it was great fun as well as educational. An art director from Coke was in the class too, so the class had a wide range of talent and experience.

What you put in, you get out
I majored in painting and drawing. Now I work in web design - go figure. A very encouraging place, excellent faculty, challenging, draining, exciting. Worth it!

Nice and no pressure
I took a beginning drawing class through the continuing ed. dept. at ACA. Even though I had no experience, the instructor made everyone feel at ease!
