Rainbow Kids Pediatrics

Be careful!! I would not take my child to her ever again. ?????? - dotmoran?????? - Today
my son was running a fever of 104 for several days. I took him to Dr. Hermann. She swore it was a virus called fifths disease or roceaola, both which include a rash. I explained to her that he had no rash and had been holding his head and ears. I also informed her of his acute ear infections and tubes in his ears during our consultation. She got her medical books out and started reading them to me, even after I told her I was familiar w/ both of these childhood illnesses. I went back 2 days later to see her again after he continued at 104 fever, and still had developed no rash. She told me to go get blood work done and white blood cell counts etc. and swore it was still 1 of these 2 viruses. She even wanted to give him a catheter and check for a UTI even after I told her that he is always hydrated and exhibited no sign of this type of infection. After my son continued to run a fever of 104 for 2 more days, I took him to Peachtree Park Peds where Dr. Kuo diagnosed him with a severe ear infection and immediatley put him on antibiotics. He was feeling better within hours, and the fever finally broke. Her staff is rude, the wait is insane, her biiling dept. sends me bills that I and my insurance have already paid and she REALLY needs to be investigated by the state board. I would NEVER recommend her to anyone. I paid her $300 to tell me to put my 1 year old on Motrin every 4 hours, tell me to make him a vegetarian and that hot dogs cause cancer. Unacceptable.

i moved to ga from another state i was afraid i wouldnt find a good pediatrician until i met dr herrmann she is world class great she is very gentle and loving to the kids but yet she is straight to the point when it comes to the parents and she will do whatever it takes to take care of your child and its not just her its her staff as well i wouldnt trade them for nothing in the world. angela r

They would not allow us to sit down for a short 'meet & greet' interview with the doctor unless we paid for a full appointment.

We love her. She is the best Dr. we have seen with our children. She makes everyone so relaxed and my daughter didn't even know she was having an exam.

I really, really recommend Dr. Herrmann. They really don't make them like her anymore. She is the kind of pediatrician I grew up with. She is thoughtful, thorough, timely and just all around pleasant. She does this job because she loves it, she does not "churn" patients in and out all day. She returns calls HERSELF!
On my first visit she spent about 45 minutes with us and I only waited for 10 to see her! (A HUGE change from the place I was going before.)
She took time to talk to me about environmental threats to my daughter, like BPA.
I can't say enough nice things about her.

We enjoy that the Doctor and staff know us. I have always been able to get an appointment quickly when my child was sick and appreciate Dr. Hermmanns practical advice. She is not quick to prescribe antibiotics which I also appreciate.

We searched far and wide for a good pediatrician for our son and have been so happy with Dr. Hermann. Her staff is wonderful (they actually recognized our son by name at a restaurant a month after his first appointment!) Dr. Hermann is everything you'd want in a pediatrician. She has a very calm, caring demeanor and a wisdom that comes from years of practice. She was the perfect antidote for this panicked first time mom who Googles everything that happens to her child.

Dr. Herrmann and her staff are always friendly and concerned. Plus my daughter loves getting her "tattoo" after each visit! We like that Dr. Herrmann cares about alternative lifestyles as well! Muchas Gracias Rainbow Kids Pediatrics!!!

Dr. Herrmann has been my son's pediatrician from the start. She has helped to minimize trips to the doctor by equipping me with the proper knowledge to care for common childhood illnesses. She also is a great listener and helped me to get through the first year with my sanity intact. The staff is wonderful and all have become an important part of our family.

Dr. Carol Herrmann provides personal one-on-one care for our children in a quiet private practice setting. Her staff are welcoming and attentive. Dr. Herrmann spends the time needed to get to know the family as well as the child.
