The Pet Set

I recently had my first and last experience with The Pet Set. Impressed by the reviews seen here, i wanted to try it out as my newly-received rescue poodle badly needed grooming. (I had gone to Wag-a-Lot once before and liked them, but thought I'd give Pet Set a try.) Long story short: I dropped my dog off at 8 a.m. and when I arrived at 4:30, he hadn't been touched. As I had told them I'd be back at 5 to get him, I let this slide, but then (after hearing my dog scream his head off in the back.but maybe thats normal) he wasn't finished until 5:30. They quoted me $49 (or less) on the phone, but then charged me $59 without explanation. When I asked why the additional charge, the front desk guy just said "ask the groomer next time you're in." The front desk folks never asked if they could assist in resolving the problem, if I needed help with products or if I was satisfied with the cut. Worst part - my dog looks insane. The cut was terrible with uneven parts, random patches and poorly shaved feet. Final report? Poor customer service, snobby attitudes and disappointing grooming. Will NEVER go back. PS - They have a cute shop with charming products. Too bad (most of) the staff doesn't measure up.

The Pet Set does an awesome job. My cat and dog always come out looking terrific. Plus, you don't need a reservation, just get there before 11:00 am and they will fit you in!! Staff is also very courteous and helpful.

My mini Italian Greyhound is my baby and is a bit of a shy guy to say the least. I consider myself lucky to have found this place because my job keeps me on road quite often and I now have peace of mind while I'm away. The staff here are true animal lovers and gives my baby lot's of TLC.

however you can't see much in the littel dog area. Can we bring the attention to the dogs? Right now it's just on the signage and I can't see my pup.

Will take my pets nowehere else. They really care about the well being of your pets- great groomingm, but their pet supplies are a little expensive

More importantly than me liking it
is my dogs LOVING IT!
I really like this place and have been using them for 2 years.I have 2 whippets & they are my fur babies. I utilize The Pet Set for doggie daycare & nail trimming service. My youngest, Licorice, gets so excited whining & jumping when we pull into the shopping center. Once out of the car, he & his daddy, Harry, both pull me to front door, with tails wagging wildly. After I get back to my office, I am able to watch them play & sleep right on my computer screen at my desk. I think it is fantastic that The Pet Set has cameras in there. Plus, they actually entertain the dogs by throwing balls & taking them outside to the play area. Then they even have "nap time" & "cookie time"! How sweet is that? I really enjoy the staff there, as they really seem to love working there. Also, I find their food prices to right in line with other pet stores. I feed Evo & it is not the easiest food to find around town, but they have it there. Just another bonus! :-) ~Sonya

what a great pet store!i buy my toys,treats,food,grooming and do my training all in one store.the staff are great and always help me carry my large bags of food to my car.you cant get that at pet smart.

I've been a client for over 10 years with 4 dogs (small and large, short hair and very long hair) that were very different. Sam is the best groomer that I've had on the east coast. For example, with my huskie/malamute mix, at any other shop it would take at least two visits to get her shedding undercoat out, but at The Pet Set, Sam was able to make her look fabulous in a single visit. My vet often said that they made her coat look like mink (her coat was the first thing anyone noticed about her). I've just had my minpin and my chow chow in for grooming with Sam and they look remarkable. Thank you Sam.

My dog got injured while in for grooming. I discovered it once we got home and the entire staff and owner denied that anything happened and tried to blame me.

Our pets just love The Pet Set and the grooming staff is so loving and skilled in the way the treat our pets. I have never had a problem or reason to doubt they are being treated well. The grooming cut is always just what I would call show quality and my babies look so nice. I highly recommend this store for grooming, boarding, day care and if you need the latest greatest in pet supplies. Thanks for doing such a great job! I will be back and tell everyone I know!!!!!!!!!!!
