Great Care in Canton!
Dr. Anderson is available 24/7 365 days a year. My 2 year old had an asthma attack on Father's Day. Dr. A took time away from his family swimming event, drove to his office to care for my son. I would never take my kids to any other pediatrician. And his wife, Dr. Stephanie is the best!

2 horrible experiences
A couple of months ago, my 1 yo son pulled Dr Anderson's computer down on his head. I felt as if he was more concerned w/the laptop and not the purple bruise on my sons' head. He left the room and never came back. I never even recieved a phone call checking on him! One of the receptionist talked me into staying and she would have him call me. This past Friday, my 2 yo daughter fell off the chair in the exam room headfirst into the GLASS cabinet door. Her scalp was cut in 2 places. With both kids screaming, he advised me to see another dr. due to conflict of interest. I opted not to go to Children's emergency care on a Friday afternoon, given they were small lacerations. BUT I waited for a call to atleast check on her... Again...NO phone call checking on my child!! The office is nice, but def. not child friendly! No outlet covers, GLASS cabinet doors and lamp cords within reach of toddlers. I like the staff, but feel like a number.

Not happy
I went here with my first son for 18 months. EVERY time I went there they said my son had an ear infection or something else so he was ALWAYS on antibiotics, breathing treatments or getting shots for something. I was a new mom and just didn't know any better. It got to the point where my son just screamed if we were near the office. Most of the time you don't even see the doctor. I finally changed pediatricians and the difference is amazing. I would not recommend going here, I think they over-medicate.

WONDERFUL experience
I was very impressed with the level of care that Stephanie (nurse practitioner) showed my son! I would recommend anyone in Canton to check them out. They had some trouble with the front office staff for a bit, but that is cleared up and the staff they have now is great!

Wish I knew better
I am a new mom and went to this doc with my newborn thinking it was a good choice. I was wrong. I never quite felt comfortable with the staff. When my daughter was 1 month old she ran a temp. Dr. Anderson sent us to Scottish Rite which was very frightening for 1st time parents, turns out our visit was unnecessary and a waist of time. The temp was not high enough for them to treat her. The staff at the hospital told us this was not the first time Dr. Anderson had sent them a patient with a temperature that was not high enough for them to treat. They seemed as frustrated as we were. The hospital visit was scary, a waste of time, and cost us over $300. After this I looked into a different doc. When I went there they reviewed the meds my daughter was on for her reflux. They told me the first med she was on was over twice the dosage they would prescribe for her. Second they told me the other med she was on was not needed. It would only be prescribed for babies with VERY severe reflux and that was not my daughter’s case. They did not use the exact words, over medicated, but that is exactly what I think it was. I wish I knew better before I took my daughter there but at least it was a learning experience and I now have a doc in Woodstock I completely trust with my daughter.

Rude Office Staff
I made an appointment for my daughter, for a well check up. The girl on the phone had to put me on hold atleast 5 times, it took 15 min. to make appt. When we showed up for the appt. the front desk girl greeted me by saying " We have been calling you" this was news to me since I have my cell phone on 24/7. I was then asked what is she here for , I explained and her response was well we cant see her we need her shot records . Since this is not my first day of being a parent and since I work in the medical field I knew this and had them with me. She then explained that they were behind did I want to wait. I said yes and proceded to fill out my paper work as she continued to shout questions across the packed waiting room. When I explained that I did not have my insc. card but I had the phone #,ID#,group# and the claims mailing address not to metion it is BC/BS PPO (a common insc). She then asked very rudely why don't you have a card? not that it is her business but her father and I are divorced and He has not given me a card, I offered to get him to email it and they could not recieve email. How do you have a website and not email this is 2008 right. By this time I had enough with the rude lady at the front.I told I would just reschedule but she did not even offer us another appt. I would never go back to that office again. I am all for spreading the wealth to Canton but not to Dr. Anderson or his Staff.I will now make the drive to Woodstock and see a friendly staff.

Excellent pediatrician
Dr. Anderson and his staff are wonderful. They are great with kids of all ages. The office is well setup (kids can watch cartoons, there are books and magazines, etc.). They also have separate "well" and "sick" waiting areas that really do help separate the germs a bit.

Very Professional
Dr. Anderson and his staff are great. They are genuinely concerned about my babies welfare and always make sure I am satisfied before I leave the office. Another plus is that I never have to wait in the waiting area.
