If you are looking for an awesome color and cut JASON at the Post Riverside location is the best!! I have never, EVER had such a great cut and color. He will move up fast I am sure of it. I have never reviewed a stylist before but I felt the need to after my appointment. He is very knowledgeable and knows what he is doing, I appreciate stylist like him. Thanks!!!

They gave me the worst haircut and customer service I have ever had. I had been there a few times and it went ok. Then I asked for a certain cut, which was a few inches shorter and had more layers. Instead of taking off a few inches the hairdresser took my hair from waist length to shoulder length. I could not tell this until she was done; by that time it was too late. The fact that she was doing my hair and another's at the same time didn't help her. My hair had been wacked off, and did NOT look like the cut I had asked for. Being timid I did not say anything. At home, though, I noticed that the cut was very uneven. Not only did she cut my hair off, she had given me a poor cut! Two weeks later I went to another salon to get it fixed. I showed the new hairdresser a picture of the "old me," and she could not believe it. She said it was the worst mess she ever had to fix. The cut was so bad we had to just cut what was left off and I had to start over with growing it out again. To top it off, the complaint letter I wrote to Bob Steele's headquarters went unanswered. Save your money and your hair-don't go to Bob Steele!

I reluctantly made an appointment with Bob Steele's Aveda Salon after going to another stylist in the Alpharetta area who fried my hair terribly. It took 4 months to make my decision to try highlighting again, and Kimberly at Bob Steele took great care of me. She knew that I was apprehensive about getting highlights, and was very attentive to what I said to her about my hair. The cut and color were so natural, and my hair felt healthy and alive once again. I have made a follow up appointment and plan on continuing to have Kimberly take care of my hair care needs.

My initial experience at BSS was like so many others here, and I was impressed. But today they really blew it, and as a result they lost me as a customer. I made an online appointment several days ago for today at 1 p.m. I received an e-mail shortly thereafter, confirming the appointment and providing a confirmation number. I walked into the Post Riverside location at 12:45 and told the receptionist that I was there for my 1 p.m appt. She gave me a deer-in-the-headlights stare as she typed stuff on her computer. Then she nonchalantly looked up and said: No, your appointment is Friday the 6th at 10 a.m. To make the rest of a long story short, at first it was all the reception people could do to muster an insincere-sounding apology, as they blamed it on a computer glitch. After much cajoling on my part, finally they set me up with another stylist for a 1:30 appointment, and ended up only charging me half price. The stylist seemed in a hurry to finish with me, as I'm sure she had been told that this was a half price deal. She didn't even bother to offer to actually style my hair after she got done with the cut.

If it were only the dropped appointment, I'd still be mad but I would not fire them as my salon. But the other half is how I was treated in the aftermath of THEIR mistake. Their customer service people act like they learned their skills in a medieval torture dungeon. I bet not one of them has any idea what the word "empathy" means. I won't be back.

I first went to Bob steele when I moved to Smyrna and had a great experience. They have a great salon atmosphere with exceptional stylists.

I see Stacy at the Alpharetta location and she is awesome! She takes the time to understand what I want before she does anything. The massaging chairs at the hair washing station are a nice touch too!

I have been going to this salon for over 4 of years and have sent several friends. However over the past year my friends and I have noticed a significant drop in their customer service. They increase the prices without telling you, they have over booked appointments and the staff at the front are never friendly. If you can get past that to go see a stylist then it's fine, but if I am paying over $140 than I expect good service.

Completely satisfied with Bob Steele salon on Northside Parkway. Shaz did a full-foil color and cut on my hair. She's been out of the Aveda Institute in Atlanta for only two years but you would never know it. She's very professional, efficient, and did my hair exactly how I was hoping it would be. The staff was great, even though I got lost and was fairly tardy to my appt., they didn't scold me or glare at me like some places do. They even still took the time to give me a quick tour of the place since it was my first time. I also had a developing bit of a cough and Shaz took such good care of me by bringing me all the tea and water I needed! Thanks Shaz! I'll be back and have given your name to my girlfriends. Mahalo nui loa!
