Best in Atlanta!
We had Ken at K-9 Coach train one of our Bullmastiff who had decided she did not like other dogs. This was very inconvenient! He/they are geniuses and we now call Ken our Dog's Life Coach. With just 3 Training Sessions our dog was completely cured. My husband thought she was switched and that was the unbelievable difference. We had tried other trainers with absolutely no results. These people know what they are doing. I would recommend them to anyone having any issues with their canine kids!

A whole new dog thanks to Ken at K-9 Coach
Our terrier poodle rescue dog was attacked by a chow last July. The attack severely increased his reactive behaviors making it difficult to walk him on leash, take him to dog park or entertain guests in our home. When we found out we were expecting a child we hired Ken to help us modify Sammy's behavior. Over the course of 4 months (4 private lessons occuring once every 4-6 weeks) Sammy went from a dog that feared his kennel, wouldn't walk on heel and barked at every visitor to enter our house to a truly changed dog. Ken taught us how to train against all these behaviors using positive reinforcement and we now have a less frantic, more obidient, better behaved dog. Anyone who knew Sammy 4 months ago can't believe it's the same dog. Even better -- he's a wonderful big brother to his new baby sister. We recommend Ken to all our dog loving friends.

Simply the Best
I worked with two different training companies before a friend told me about K-9 Coach. The first wanted me to throw a can full of coins at my dog to correct them and the other kept telling me I had to use a shock collar (they called it a stimulus collar or something). Both of their methods resulted in even worse behavior. When I first went to K-9 Coach I did a few private lessons with Amber and got the hang of their positive reinforcement techniques and clickers. I eventually took two different classes - one with Ken and the other with Richard. My experience with all of the trainers and kennel and daycare staff has been nothing but positive. My dog is now a Canine Good Citizen and we regularly get stopped in public by people wanting to know "How did you train your dog so well?" I would gladly recommend them to anyone.

Truly Care About the Success of Your Dog!
We went to K-9 Coach to re-train my dog after she was burned by an e-collar she had previously been trained with. My dog worked with both Amber & Ken during her "Doggy Boot Camp", and has worked extensively with Ken since then. My dog is turning into a totally different animal! The positive reinforcement and structure that K-9 teaches really helps a dog learn the behavior we expect of them. Plus, the whole staff is flexible and supportive, and will do what they can to help make sure your dog's training is a success! A great company, would recommend to anybody!

Helped a Hopeless Situation
We rescued a german shepherd with agression issues and have tried several different trainers trying to get help. What other trainers couldn't do in a year Ken was able to do in just 3 months! Where Murphy wasn't even able to be in the same room as dogs before, he's now learning how to socialize and be a happy, normal dog! Don't waste your time - go here first!!!

Update - Great Facility and Personnel
My two dogs and I are huge fans of Amber Burckhalter's new training, daycare and Boarding facility near the Vinings. The facility is immaculate. In fact, one of the trainers, Ken, was vacuuming the yard after doggie playtime and found a small earring of mine that one of my dogs must have grabbed off me when I dropped them off! This is just one example of their attention to detail and the incredible way they care for the dogs. Highly recommended.

SO THANKFUL TO HAVE FOUND KEN
I can't begin to say how thankful I am to have found Ken Dupcak. He truly has a special gift with dogs and is also very good with people which can be a difficult combination to find in a dog trainer. Out of six trainers I phone interviewed, he was the only one who made me feel confident he could help my dogs. I needed a dog trainer when my rescue dog received his second warning from doggie daycare after biting a puppy. Along with his aggression problems at daycare, his fence aggression issues had also escalated recently. If he was on a leash he would try to attack any dog that came near me.

Ken kept him for two weeks of boarding/training and returned a well behaved and calm dog who knows many commands now. As a final test, he hooked up my dog and one of his own dogs, a large male shepherd, to the same leash and let me walk the two dogs together around the block. To be able to walk my dog with a big male dog without any aggression was worth every penny. When it came time to go home, my dog couldn't decide if he wanted to go home or back with Ken.

I consider Ken to be a dog psychiatrist as well as a dog trainer. Anybody can teach dogs how to do commands but figuring out why dogs act the way they do then devising a plan to help them takes a great deal of special skill and patience. I highly recommend Ken Dupcak at K-9 Coach especially if you have a rescue dog with unique problems.

Ken is a miracle worker
I adopted a 2 year old shelter dog, and I later found out that she was a very nervous and reactive dog with fear aggression issues. She would let me pet her, but she is very sensitive about her head and back and would snap at many people, especially men. At 40 pounds, she was very hard to control, and group training with another company failed completely. Ken took her for three weeks of in board training for behavior modification and basic obedience. Video from her first night away was pretty scary--she was growling and trying to bite Ken every time he got near her crate. I was very worried and had friends and family (even other shelter dog owners) encouraging me to think about giving her up or even putting her down. By her 9th day, Ken's video showed a completely different dog. She is now home and doing extremely well. It's actually fun to walk her now! She has made a lot of progress on her aggression issues and with continued work, I look forward to having a long and fulfilling relationship with her. Despite her rough start, Ken was always encouraging and never gave up on her. He really educated me about her needs, and I really appreciate the continued access and free group classes that come with in board training. I highly, highly recommend K-9 Coach.

Ken is awesome!
We adopted a 2-year-old fox terrier from a rescue, and later found that she had extremely severe leash aggression issues. In an act of desperation, we contacted K-9 coach, and were hooked up with Ken. Ken was absolutely fabulous- he helped us understand the reasoning behind Maddie's extreme behavior and taught us how to correct her bad habits. We are pleased and extremely proud to say that our pup is now a happy and controllable member of our family. Had it not been for Ken and the K9 Coach team's advice, Maddie may have ended up back at the rescue shelter and labeled a "lost cause". We could not be more pleased with the results and would recommend K-9 Coach to any and everyone who needs help with any behavior issues they might have with their dog. Thank you so much!

Wonderful trainers!
We worked with Ken one-on-one and also at 101 training class with our dog. Ken was really great and our dog learned a lot. Amber has also been great whenever I have called with any questions.
