Law Office of Danny Coleman, PC

My wife and I were in the midst of a bankruptcy and needed some advice about switching to a Chapter 13. I spoke with Danny personally over the phone and responded to Danny's seemingly sincere invitation for free consultation to assess our needs. After a few minutes we realized that a 13 was not going to work and were ready to thank him and move on. We attempted to leave a few times but Danny kept talking about personal experiences and non-relevant items to the point where I was getting very frustrated. After an hour and a half we were finally able to leave. Now all the excess verbiage is clear. He is billing us for one hour of his time at $275. His blatant unethical practice of prolonging a consultation so he could get paid is reprehensible. Especially at a time when we can least afford it. This is intended to warn anyone who would consider an attorney who will kick you when you are down.

When I look at all the negative complaints I am aghast that Danny Coleman has an overall rating of 4 stars. HOW CAN THAT BE??? Danny talked and talked and talked during my husband and I's consultation. I wouldn't have minded if he was addressing our cares and concerns but seemed to talking for talkings sake. Now I understand why. I have a bill from his office for over $250.00 and as I read the fine print on the "Free Consultation Information Sheet" it says, first 30 minutes free. It makes sense now and is all the more upsetting. We realized within 20 minutes that this would not be a good fit (that's what consultations are for) but he dragged out the appointment so he could bill us for his time. He will be forever etched in my memory as your typical "take advantage of you" attorney. Don't use Danny or risk being taken advantage of.

the worst office i have ever dealt with. i sold my truck to pay for there service.which after i did i got on here and some of the bad stories,that i was reading well, they were true.after several months of them working on my bankruptcy case they did nothing so i asked for my money back they only gave me $500 of the 2200 i gave them.Now of course i have a great one. use Christine stadler if u need a great a good banktrupty or divorce attorney. My advice RUN RUN RUN from these people.

They represented me for a straight-forward Ch.7. Quoted $2000 and it finally ended at $3547. My attorney (not Danny Coleman) had very little knowledge and would say often "I don't know, let me ask Danny". I would then be billed for asking her the question and then get billed again for her asking Danny. This happens A LOT! Duplicated billings ie. they will ask about your finances from a standard questionnaire, then someone will call for a telephone interview and ask you the exact same questions. And yes you are billed twice for this. The attorney they "contract" to represent you during your 341 hearing is rude and not helpful ex. I had an attorney show up to mine from one of my accounts. She had a reaffirmation for me to sign. I had to find this "contract" attorney to ask her about it and she said "I am only here to represent you for the hearing" she then turned her back on me and walked away. I continued to receive billings and had emailed my attorney to discuss this excessive billing. 3 weeks later after no response I call to make an appt to pay my bill. I find out that she long ago left the firm and I have a different attorney. Yes I was charged for this visit (I was billed to pay my bill). When I told the firm about the 341 attorney and her rudenessthey laughed! RUN as far away from this firm as possiblethey are predators! Quoted $2000 Actual $3547

I have been using Attorney Coleman's law firm and services since 2005. Very satisfied, and find it hard to beleive any honest reasonable person would have any problems with their services. Mr. Coleman has even went so far as to come by my business and home on weekends to help execute documents and move things forward -- and only charged half what I would have expected. The rates are ver reasonable; I know a few others that have had a good experience also that I referred to him.

I can highly recommend this law office for divorce work and bankruptcy. I had both, first the divorce, and then the bankruptcy. Their rates were a little higher than I had seen other places, but their offices and service was a lot better than my previous divorce attorney. And they were a lot closer since I live in Roswell. Mr. Coleman had me come in every weekend for a month to work on my case uninterrupted. Mr. Coleman were recommended to me by my uncle, who did a business case using him. My ex-husband had signed my name to several credit cards and when his mortgage business went bad - he could not pay the credit card bills and they started threatening to bring me too Court. My divorce case worked out good and the bankruptcy was discharged a few weeks ago with no problems.

My family and I could not be more dis-satisfied with Mr. Coleman and his Staff! We feel as if Mr. Coleman's practice completely mis-lead and took total advantage of our financial situation. Mr. Coleman is perhaps the most non-professional individual in his field that I've ever met. Once your cash is received.you can forget ever receiving a return call or email. The only way you will ever get any direct communication from Mr. Coleman is to have him reported to the Georgia State Bar and of course to the Bankruptcy Court of North Georgia. It should be and perhaps is illegal for someone such as Mr. Coleman pose as a responsible legal representative.
Please don't take me wrong; We take full responsibility for making the most "FOOLISH" mistake that we have ever made in choosing Mr.Coleman to represent us.It is a mistake that we have learned from and have paid an extremely high price.Mr. Coleman should have his credientials stripped from him by the Georgia Bar. It remains to be seen if that will happen.
It is a "True" disgrace that Mr. Coleman along with his staff "prey" on the fraility of others. Mr. Coleman is a Black Mark on the legal practice of Georgia. Consumers; I already know that Mr. Coleman will respond to this review and "discount" it as a irresponsible client that didn't follow instruction. Not true! Consumers make sure you read "All" of the reviews on Mr. Coleman. If you do; you will not choose him to represent you on any of your legal business.

Highly recommend this firm for divorce work. Their rates were very reasonable, but not cheap but I had a bad experience with a cheap lawyer last year. The paralegals and lawyers were very helpful. They were recommended to me by a friend's lawyer as being very good at their work. They even met with me on the weekends to help with my case. My ex-husband has his own business, and was hiding income and property, and lying about everything. The lawyers got copies of all his business and bank records, and we only had to go to court twice. Everything was settled in my favor once he figured out that he could not keep lying about all of his income and property. My ex-husband is now paying his child support on a regular basis.

I was very happy with the outcome of my divorce, finally my children and I can have some peace of mind. Mr. Coleman and his paralegals were helpful and made me feel comfortable and informed during the divorce process. thanks!
