Home Regulator Replacement
Alan diagnosed the problem and quoted the repair on the phone, sent somebody to fix it as promised, and it was done correctly and quickly. As a second time user, I highly recommend this plumber.

Dependable/Professional
Charles replaced our water heater in the amount of time he said it would take. He was there on time (unheard of nowadays). When I went downstairs to check out the installation, I noticed a few marks on our carpets. He told me he would clean up after himself (which he did). However, later that afternoon when I checked the carpet to see if the area that Charles cleaned was dry, I saw that the marks were still there. I contacted the company to voice my complaint. Charles returned my call within a few minutes, apologized for the mess and assured me that he would be back on Monday to clean. He called, as promised, on Monday morning. He had to go by Home Depot to buy a cleaner (I suggested a cleaner which he bought), but told me he would be there to clean up the mess that afternoon. Once he cleaned it, I could not tell where the marks had been. He was very professional and prompt. Most importantly, Charles kept his word. I am so pleased to see that there is still a business who understands work ethic, integrity and reliability. We will not hesitate to use this company again in the future. Thank you Charles.

OK work - but changed date and price
My sewer line backed up and I called Ridgeway. Alan Ridgeway came and he snaked out the line but said there was a broken place and gave me a price to fix it and another price if he had to replace the entire line. He did not have me sign the invoice nor did he give me a copy of it when I paid for snaking. We agreed that Thursday he would fix it because I was off. He called Thursday and said he would come Friday instead. On Friday he said the whole line needed to replaced and he would have to take off a while to get more pipes. When I looked out a later and saw he had already laid the pipe out, he said he had enough pipe on him because it was a shorter distance to the main then he had estimated. When he finished I asked the price and he said, “I believe I said $2400, but let me check the invoice for the quote”. He went to his truck and came back with an invoice from the first time where he had written $2600, which I paid. Yet I wonder if the first quote was based on the fact that he had believed it was further to the main then it turned out to be. I especially felt bad since I was inconvenienced and took an extra day off work because he wanted to come another day ----------- THEIR REPLY IS INCORRECT! Thursday 8/14 the day they cancelled – IT DID NOT RAIN (nor did it day before) the high was 86 low 68 (see weather.com) . There was not rain in the forecast either-

Sorry we inconvenienced you on a Thursday, but as you know, it rained on Thursday. All plumbers know it is unwise to install a sewerline in the rain, due to the high probability of improper settling of the pipe. This is why we moved the job to Friday. Your technician was Tim, Alan is the owner. Concerning the price, our prices are based upon initial inspection of the job, and you would not have been charged more if the sewerline had been longer than initially thought, rather than a little shorter. Concerning the original $225 sewer cleaning, it is likely that Tim did not leave you an invoice because he had agreed to come back and complete the larger job with you. If you would like an invoice for the original $225, we would be more than happy to mail or fax one to you. Thanks, Alan.

Great Work
These guys are the best plumbers that I've ever used. Charles came out and re-worked a leaking hose bib and fixed a leaking dishwasher supply. He was on time and did a great job! We'll definitely use Ridgeway again!

Great Service
Our water heater was leaking all over the place. I called Ridgeway and they came over same day, quoted a great price and completed the job in no time. I was so satisfied that I called them back again to replace our PRV.

These guys are great
When your water heater starts spewing water all over the basement floor, it is generally time to call a plumber. I was aware of Kudzu so I decided to have a look. Ridgeway stood out because of the number of good reviews and, after I read quite a few, realized that they probably weren't bogus after all. So I gave them a call. They gave me a fair price and told me they could install it the same day. They sell the Rheem brand which I had learned was one of the best brands. I am very aware of product and labor warranties. One company I called offered no labor warranty at all - be sure you ask this question. Ridgeway gave me a 1 year labor warranty and Rheem's 6?? yr on parts. The plumber came over (Charles) and he was a friendly and efficient worker who actually seemed to actually seemed to enjoy his work. He didn't even get mad when I stood around and watched him wrestle with the 200 lb 50 gallon heater. After an hour or so the install came off without a hitch and I had hot water again. I'll never call a different plumber again. The guys are rated number 1.

Mighty Fine!
I dreaded trying to find a reputable plumber and chose Ridgeway based on the great reviews at Kudzu. I was NOT disappointed! I had an ancient, clogged and crumbling tub and shower trap, but the big problem was where it was located. My house was built in the 50's, before modern building codes. This thing was crammed against an outside wall, very tight and difficult to get to and very tricky to work on. Tim arrived precisely when scheduled, thoroughly explained everything, and performed the work without a hitch. Fast, friendly service and a great job. Highly recommended!

Would give them 6 stars if I could!
Ridgeway Mechanical did a fabulous job! We called them in the early morning to install a toilet and faucet in our 50 year old home. Tim arrived that day, exactly when he said he would. During installation of the faucet he discovered a rotten metal pipe that had to be melted off. He handled the job quickly, cleaned the bathroom afterward, and made sure everything was working well, and charged a very fair price for the work. I'm very impressed with their service, and will definitely use Ridgeway Mechanical again. Thank you, Tim!!!

Great service
Ridgeway was wonderful. They fixed our leaky sink for the estimated price. mike was courteous, knowledgeable and professional. He fixed the problem in an expedient manner and even provided us with a quote on some additional work we want to have done. I would recommend this company to a friend and will definitely use them in the future for our plumbing needs.

Great work!
I needed help installing a very complex water purifier. He came out on a weekend (no extra charge) and spent Saturday morning installing it for me. The work was clean and the filter works perfectly. I will definitely call again.
