The staff at Thomas Eye Group are so friendly yet professional -- it's a delight to have an appointment there. Yes, they get a little busy some times, but you can see why they are in demand.

However, the thorough and pleasant care offsets this. I always leave with a smile while feeling I've gotten the best care for my eyes.

Over the past few years, it was my experience that the office staff behind the desk were grouchy and unhelpful and concentrated on all of the services insurance did not cover-and discussed it loudly in front of other waiting patients. On my last visit this July, to my delight, a group of smart, friendly and energetic people have replaced the grouchy old ladies! They call insurance ahead of time, call you at home to discuss insurance questions before your visit and are accomodating and helpful upon your arrival to the office. I am very happy with the new office staff. I have always loved the care from the nurses and the doctors and that was the only reason I had put up with the inefficient staff at the front desk- this is no longer a stressful doctor's visit! Good Job, Thomas Eye Group for hiring a new office manager!

I saw Dr Newman for the first time today & was very impressed. The entire office was friendly & professional. I was concerned after reading the complaints about long wait times, but I didn't wait very long before I was called back & saw the physician quickly. I'm very pleased with the service that I received today.

I did not know what to expect after reading mixed reviews about the wait time and the office staff. I had an appt. on a Friday afternoon, so I was expecting a long wait. To my surprise, I was in and out in less than an hour, and the staff was very effecient. I will definitely return to see Dr. Newman.

I was referred to Thomas Eye Group and didn't want to travel to this location. However, I am so very glad I did. It is well worth it.
I had shingles in my eye and Dr. St. Louis cared for me. I was very lucky and had a complete recovery in his care.
Then, Dr. Heidt performed cataract surgery on both my eyes and I am very happy with his care.
In fact, everyone in the office is very professional and very nice. They answer all your questions and are so friendly, too.
I can recommend this practice without reservation.

I recently went to Thomas Eye Group & saw Doctor Newman based on reviews I read on Kudzuso glad I did! I woke up with a terrible case of iritis & they saw me that morning even as a new patient. They were very professional & my wait wasn't long at all - great since I was in such pain! I can't thank Dr. Newman enough-I've found my new eye doctor!!

I've used Thomas Eye Group for 8 years now. The doctors are wonderful and the care is top notch. The wait times can sometimes be overwhelming and I don't especially love their front desk staff. Otherwise, I have to say, I'd recommend them for the care of your eyesight.

I have been with The Thomas Eye Group close to Twenty Year. When my parents came from up state N. Y. for their yearly visit they had started to have problems with their eyes so I knew where they had to go. Thomas Eyes Group -I wanted the best! My Dad had his cataract surgery done here in Atlanta by Dr. Hiet. He not only did a wonderful job - Dr. Hiet made my father so comfortable - he became his friend.
Dr. Heit related to my Dad ( who was in his 90's and was exceptional with his knowledge and talents with music)about Dad's love of Music and his playing the Mandolin. He even gave him a book about a Mandolin player which meant so much
to Dad.

This last year it was my turn to have
the cataract surgery and to have the contacts replanted in both eyes.
Dr. Hiet and his staff went out of their way again to make sure that I understood the procedure,gave me personal attention when needed. Most important I now have no need for glasses and have complete visual freedom. I am so happy and grateful for the excellent results.

I am delighted to say that the Thomas eye group staff have been both friendly and efficient in times of need. I am especially fond of Dr. Newman, who has not only given me better than perfect eye sight through Lasik eye surgery, which far surpassed my expectations, his professionalism and sincere concern for my wellbeing has made it a delight to be his patient. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone in need of care.
