Decent Customer Service, Sloppy Construction
Meridian Homes - Bradley Gin I purchased my Meridian Home in September '06. During the final walk-through, I pointed out several issues with the house including areas where the walls were "leaning" and the doors were crooked. The Meridian fellow doing the walkthrough, Don, asked gruffly "What kind of home do you think you're buying." This really set me off. While Meridian Homes appear to be a great deal for the money, it's still A LOT of money for the average buyer and I expected a decent level of craftmenship. Heck, I would have been happy if the builders broke out a level while putting the thing together. There's no flashing separating my Hardi-plank from the wood on the exterior (except for a line of caulk) requiring me to re-caulk the perimeter of my house ever month-2 months. About a month after we purchased the home, Meridian fixed this issue with the new homes by adding the appropriate flashing, but left us early adopters with a maintenance nightmare. If not re-caulked every time a hole in their caulking cracks open, water will seep behind and rot the wood siding. My last issue has to do with their warrantee work. We noticed a crack developing in our kitchen ceiling. They came out to "patch it" and now it appears we had water or some kind of damage to our kitchen ceiling. We were told before they started patching that it would be "seamless." Right....

The home buyers home builders
Meridian built my family's first owned home. The customer service & education about our new home was great. They paid the closing costs, discounted our upgrades (granite counter tops, in-ground sprinkler, maple cabinets & marble back-splashes). Most importantly they were accommodating for our timeline of building our home. Our real estate agent even sold her mother a Meridian Home...

The best value & service in the area!
I bought my Meridian Home over three years ago and I am still in love with my house! The quality is exceptional - especially considering the purchase price - and the people at Meridian really stand behind their product. The closing process was very easy and there were no surprises. I can't say enough good things about this company.

My new home
We love our new home and were completley satisfied with Meridian Homes. Would highly recommend them. They made an intimidating process simple. Home America mortgage company was awesome as well. Haven't had to use warranty service yet (which is a good thing!) so can't comment on their responsiveness.

Great Time
From the time we wrote the contract till we closed on our house everything was handled in a professional manner and we now enjoy our beautiful new home!!!!!

Meridian builds a quality home with LOTS of standard features. The whole experience from purchasing to closing is handled professionally and geared with the customer in mind.
