No help at all..., 11/27/2011

My builders use Grigsby's as their carpet company so when I called my contractor about some torn up carpet they gave me Grigsby's number. I've called no fewer than 4 times about having it repaired... but my calls never get returned. It's hard to review a company when you can't get any help in the first place!

rude!, 3/16/2011

I have been shopping for tile to replace our dining room and living room carpet for about 3 weeks. I've been to several tile/carpet stores, pricing and shopping. Grigsbys male employees had good ole'... boy mentality, talking very loudly amongst themselves, not helping customers. I priced 3 tiles that I had been pricing at other stores, and 2 I found here and were extremely overpriced. Selection was not that great. Compared to other stores regarding their customer service this place is very very poor. I do not recommend this place. Stay away.

It looks better than I had hoped for.

The customer service representative at Grigsby's Carpet Tile & Rug was very nice and attentive. She went right to what I needed and didn't try to sell me something I didn't want. She really listened to me.I felt that they gave me a really good price for the carpet I got. I also had the installation done by them. The installers seemed to know what they were doing and were very experienced and friendly. They were also really quick and had a good sense of humor. Everything looks really, really good.

Better price; great service.

Grigsby's Carpet, Tile & Rug was awesome. Everything from the installers, to the salesman who helped me, to the completed carpet was great. They guy over there was extremely helpful and even let me take samples home. When I called back, he let me know that they could be out the next day.The installers were excellent, and it probably wasn't easy to get the carpet in. They did extremely well, and it looks great. It was my first time using them. I would definitely say to use them for everything. Their price was better, and their service is great. You couldn't do any better.

Bad Experience

Grigsby’s put carpet padding on concrete that was heavily stained with pet urine at my rent house. They told me it was my responsibility to have it treated. But they told me this after the fact I wasn't given the opportunity to have it treated before it was already glued in place. I was then told they were going to charge me extra for the installation of new padding because they weren't going to remove what they just glued in place. It took me 20-30 minutes to remove the padding without harming it so it could be used once the concrete was treated. Cindy (Sales Representative) and Penny (Manager) said they install carpeting on untreated flooring all the time. Really?! There was no offer of resolution to the problem. In their opinion, they were right and I was wrong. Cindy even went as far as to call me the most difficult customer she’s ever dealt with. I know how and when to accept responsibility when I've made a mistake. Obviously, Gigsby’s has yet to learn this lesson.

RESPONSE FROM Grigsbys Carpet Tile & Rug: Mr. Koller,

I am sincerely sorry you are unsatisfied. We take customer satisfaction very seriously. Pet stains and odors are common and a frequent reason for carpet replacement. I understand your concern about a lingering odor.
Grigsby's does not offer this service. Upon your request we stopped the installation so that you could have someone come to clean it. We tried to accommodate you by returning to your home two more times to complete the installation at no additional charge.
We apologize this was not communicated to you at the time of measure of your home. We will stress to our sales staff to discuss this in detail if pet odors are detected. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

EXTREMELY overpriced

Installers were punctual and did a good job but regarding the price for the amount of work, I feel ripped off!

Customer for life.

We decided to use Grigsbys Carpet Tile & Rug because they have a strong reputation in the Tulsa community and good quality merchandise. We felt that we could trust them and that we were going to get what we paid for. That trust allowed us to focus on which carpets we wanted and not worry about other potential problems.Grigsby's has virtually done the entire house for us. Last year, they did the living and dining room as well as the hallway and master bedroom, which was more than we originally planned. Most recently, we had them take out the wood flooring in the study and carpet it. Everything has turned out beautifully. I would recommend Charlotte, who handled our selection of carpet and the purchase. She also worked with us when issues arose during the installation and made it a good experience. We still have 2 other bedrooms that we have not yet done. I would definitely use Grigsby's again -- and specifically, Charlotte -- to work with us on those rooms. Gene & Diane Martin

One of our best subcontractors.

We have known one of the salesmen at Grigsby's Carpet Tile & Rug for about 28 years and have been using the company exclusively for the last 8 years. They are one of our best subcontractors. We do mostly commercial construction and they install flooring for us, from carpet to tile. They have a large selection and provide good service. Typically, our salesman is easy to reach and responds quickly. We have been satisfied with the work that Grigsby's has done for us over the years. If any issues arise, they always take care of them.
