This is the walmart of furniture stores - but it is well worth the trip. SAVE MONEY BIG TIME on furniture. I'd stay away from the sofas though, but a great place for tables etc..

I love this store. Could decorate my whole home. Huge selections, good prices, and products are made well. Order from catalog when I can't get there.

What fun place to shop - if you have 3 hours! I love their deals on small furniture items like coffee tables and bins/baskets and storage pieces. You get well-constructed furniture that you can actually fit into/on top of a compact car, for the same or less than what you'd pay for the crap at Wal-Mart.

IKEA is absolutely my favorite place to shop, even if I'm not buying anything. It is not like other stores -- you have to walk around the entire store, so don't plan on running in for a quick trip. Just like any furniture, if you assemble it correctly and treat it properly, it will last forever. Thankfully, this store opened two days after I bought my condo, so I was able to furnish the entire thing for around $2000!

I LOVE Ikea, so I am reluctant to write this review, but I must warn other shoppers to check their receipts carefully.
On my last trip to IKEA, the checkouts were as busy as ever, and after standing in line for what seemed like hours, I finally got to pay for my items. The total did seem a little higher than I expected, and when I checked my receipt, I realised they had charged me twice for one item. I pointed this out immediately to the cashier, but she told me I would need to go to the refunds desk in order to get my money back! A supervisor walked me over to the desk, but instead of issuing an immediate refund, she merely took a ticket from the machine and handed it to me. She told me I would have to wait in line for my turn, and walked off. This was after THEIR mistake, not mine! I ended up in line with people who were returning items - another long wait. Not the best customer service, me thinks!!
