Shower leaking into kitchen, had to go thru cast-iron piping and do cut-out and replace. Ceiling down, what a mess! All fixed and doing great, price was what quoted and a blessing I found em!

I hired Zoom Plumbing, Tom Connolly, in October 2011 to perform work on a septic tank. Was quoted a price range of $3,000 to $3,500 for the job. Final invoice was for $7,069.00. There was never notice of a price increase mentioned during the course of the work. There was never a change order issued during the course of the work. There was a final invoice delivered, for more than double the original quote. When I asked why? he replied "we had to rent a bigger tractor!" I will never use zoom plumbing again.

Called Tom from Zoom. He did all the plumbing in the house (it was roughed in). BAD MISTAKE, the worst I have made. The kitchen compression joint came off, flooding brand new floors even before the house had finished. He came fixed it. Fixing the floors cost me thousands of dollars. Then, it happened again after we had moved in. SAME PLACE. How is it possible??? Slowly all faucets pipes are coming loose, even the braided ones. Had a leak in the tub he installed and water dripped all over in the garage. Guess I was lucky, the tub was not over the living room. DO NOT USE ZOOM, more specifically Tom. Very, very mad at him. I am getting another plumber just to tighten every single joint because I never know what will break next. What I do not understand is the good reviews that he has received. Has he asked all his friends to put that in? They cannot be right. Just read BrendaClark's review. Tom actually caused that problem in our house. He has mixed the cold and hot water and most of the house has warm water comming out of cold water faucets. There is not enough space to tell everything that he messed up. I will gladly answer any questions anyone has about this company so that you guys don't go through the same misery that I am going through.

Called Tom out to find a leak at a rental property I own. He was to come out on a Monday at 9am - no show and no call. I called him on Thursday to find out what happeend and he used some excuse about the weather, but said he would be out on Friday at 9am - again, no show and no call. I called him a few days later to complain and he seemed totally clueless as to why I'd be upset at the service he provided. After this experience, I'm honestly wondering if the positive reviews he has received are legit.

Showed up 5 hours late. Flooded the bathroom, acted like it was no big deal. did not fix the problem and wanted to come back another time. Can't understand a word he says and didn't even have the right tools. I will choose any other plumber other than Tom Connolly at Zoom Plumbing.

After all the wonderful reviews on here about Zoom Plumbing, it seemed like a no-brainer to call Tom after water stains started showing up on my ceiling. He was a little late, but he called and told me so. No worries. Once he arrived, he seemed to be a really nice guy and said a lot of things that made sense. Less than an hour later and 3 holes in my ceiling later, he could not find the leak. Basically he told me my best bet was patch the holes and hope it stops on its on? Not exactly the answer I had hoped for. Then he sticks the knife in my chest. The damage? $235 for an hour of him not doing anything!! Other than his camera, he didn't even break out any tools! The pure shock on my face must have made him feel bad as he then lowered the price to a much more "reasonable" $220. It's freakin' robbery. The next plumber I called figured out it was the dishwasher of the condo above mine in about 20 minutes. He even patched my ceiling for free. I know who I'm calling next time.

Trouble shooting hot water mixing in cold......... Tom was able to accommodate our schedule and arrived early! He was extremely personable and I felt very comfortable having him in my home with my little kids underfoot. We explained the problem, and I expected to see the same look of "not knowing where to start" that I got from another plumber. But instead he did some trouble shooting and within 15 minutes was able to isolate and solve the problem! He also took the time to explain everything. He was extremely professional, courteous and respectful to our home (love those shoe-covers!). My family can now safely use the cold water without the fear of getting burned. Thank you Zoom Plumbing! I definitely would recommend Zoom Plumbing to my friends and family!

Yesterday, I called and set up an appointment with Tom. He was to come out today between 2-6pm. At 5:30, he had still not arrived, so I called him and he said that he hadn't been able to find the house, that he had driven all over the place looking for it and it wasn't worth it. I asked why he didn't call to get directions or go to Google Maps, or use a GPS or at least call and say that he wasn't coming out. He said the he had a bad day and everything had gone wrong. Now both of us had a bad day, but you don't have to. Please call a different plumber.

On Thursday afternoon Tom from Zoom Plumbing showed up right on time to look at a clogging problem on our second floor bathtub. Although he snaked out huge chunks of hair that had accumulated in the pipe over the years, the drainage strangely didn't improve much. So, he came back later that evening with his co-worker and camera to investigate the main source of the problem. Soon we found out. Our 60 year-old house's clay sewer pipe under the basement had been invaded by tree roots. This meant having to break the tiles and the concrete in the basement and replace the clay pipe with a new PVC pipe. Naturally, we were distressed having to face a rather serious problem, and anticipating all the things that could go wrong during the process of fixing it. In the following 5 days, however. I had confirmed why a good service company could make a big difference in one's life. All of the Zoom Plumbing guys were punctual, professional and never wasted time. The workmanship was excellent. I recommend the Zoom Plumbing Company, especially Tom, because he is so passionate about his job and tries to make you happy. You can definitely rely on his prompt and efficient service. Had a gas line that needed repair and after getting a $450 quote from Sundial plumbing and telling them to shove it and found Zoom on the web. Let me say, I ended up giving him more than he asked ($225 vs the $200 he charged) as they did an excellent job, were prompt, quick and were very friendly. I can't recommend them enough and I will be using them whenever I need plumbing help in the future.

First let me explain that I am a female homeowner and I'm wary of contractor's promises and prices. But, I do trust these guys. This was the second time I had work done by Zoom Plumbing If they say the work will be done in a day; it's done in a day. If they say they'll show up between 8 and 9 a.m., they do. And, most important, if they say it's going to cost the calculated amount, that's exactly what it costs. The workers are friendly and courteous and boy do they work! All in all, a really re-assuring experience. If and when the next need arises, I will call Zoom Plumbing. thanks guys Robin Wheeler

Because my home has become a rental property, my home insurance no longer covers sewer backup damages. The insurance company suggested that I have my sewer line examined to determine its condition. At the same time I had a very slow drainage from my tub in the basement. The team that came was polite, efficient and as happy as I was to learn that my sewage line was totally clear. They also solved the bathtub drain, and were finished in no time. I was very satisfied with their work. I will be using Zoom plumbing from now on and not the Rooter company. James White, Buckhead

We realized that a french drain on the side of our home was blocked the week before it was forecasted to rain every day. Not wanting to have a flood on our hands, we jumped on Kudzu and found great reviews for Zoom Plumbing. Their website says 24/7 service, no voicemails, always speak to a live person. We called the number . . . voicemail. Left a message. No return call. The next day, we called again. . . voicemail. Left a message. No return call. On the third attempt, Tom answered and suggested that he come to our home at 4 p.m. on Tuesday (the following day). At 4 p.m. on Tuesday, no sign of Tom. No messages from Tom. Finally, at 7:20 p.m., Tom answered his phone and stated that he had to pick someone up from the airport and was running behind. He promised to come to our home the NEXT day, at 11:30 a.m. On Wednesday, 11:30 a.m., no sign of Tom, no messages from Tom. Voicemail. Tom answered his phone at 12:30 p.m., stated that he was running behind at another job and would be at our home in one hour. At 2:00 p.m., Tom finally arrived and diagnosed and unclogged our drain. He did a great job once he arrived but we will not use his services again because he is not dependable. We should not have had to chase him down or wait around for hours. He could have at least given us the courtesy of a phone call.
