Horrible experience. Neither the movers or the owners have any regards for your belongings. I personally saw them stomping and kicking my belongings and then had the nerve to laugh about it. Notified management and "owner" no one cared. You would be better off just renting a truck and asking 2 strangers.
Few big pieces of furniture
Area Smyrna, GA
Cost $250 - $499

I recently used Tomahawk Moving & Storage for my move. They were professional and courteous. The movers showed up on time and got everything moved in a timely manner for me. Tomahawk definitely helped remove some of the stress from my move. If you are looking for a great moving company, these are your guys.

Moving is stressful. Finding movers simply adds to it, especially if you've had horrible ones in the past. Well, I can honestly say that these guys did a great job. They were on time, very friendly, and moved my furniture to two locations without any problems. I am moving again in a couple of weeks and without doubt will use them again!

I made the mistake of taking a friend's recommendation here. I hired Tomahawk at $139 an hour for 3 men and a truck, which I knew going in was steep. But my buddy assured me they were really great. The positives: they showed up on time, were professional and polite to me and my wife, and only damaged a few things (broke the leg off our couch and put a dent in our brand new dryer). The negatives: they were slow as molasses. What I thought was a 4-5 hour move turned into an 8 hour epic. There were several stretches of 10-15 minutes when I wouldn't see anybody moving anything. Plus, we bought lunch (another break) and drinks (another break). After the "tip," I was out $1200 and have to say I feel cheated. I would never recommend this moving company, sad to say. And I don't think I'm going to be listening to my friend anymore either.

A claim was filed and completed for the damages this customer incurred. Also, we are confused why the customer would give an almost $200 tip for a move that wasn't to their satisfaction.
Recently I had to move from house to house a couple of counties over closer to the "city". Although in the past i've always taken on this task with a few buddies and a 12 pack, this time was much different as i had alot more furniture and worldly treasures not to be trusted in the hands of amatures. Sorry bud's, no offence! As my stress level began to rise i entertained the thought of hiring a professional. Well, i found them with Tomahawk movers! After 4 phone calls to competitors and getting nowhere fast Tomahawk was everything i needed! Friendly,Professional, Price was better than most with no "hidden costs"! Couldn't have been happier with the move. In fact i even kicked in a 25% tip! Thanks Tomahawk, You're the best!!!

After a long and rough road moving ourselves from Las Vegas to Smyrna, GA it was wonderful to have local movers waiting to unload the big truck and trailer. They were patient as we figured out where to put it all! Great job, thanks Heather Smyrna, GA

Owner called the night before a big move to confirm and then the next morning called in sick and said the move would have to be cancelled. Would never use them again.

Have no idea who this person is and in 30 years of business have never not done a scheduled move.
I called Tomahawk in a pinch (when another company had to cancel)!! They came through at the last minute with a first rate team!! Everyone was helpful and courteous and was on the fourth level of a complex with NO elevator! They even helped assemble some furniture I had! I will use Tomahawk again! And definitely recommend them!!

Tomahawk Movers DESTROYED my furniture. They spilled battery acid or gasoline or some kind of chemical all over my furniture. My black leather sleeper sofa has holes eaten through the paint on the metal frame and throughout the mattress. There are "splashed" white spots all over that have discolored the black leather - this was a $4,700 couch. All of my other furniture made of wood has splashed of whatever chemical they spilled all over it which has eaten through the finish. I have antiques that are 200-300 years old that have been cracked - LITERALLY. I placed a claim three months ago and have yet to receive any feedback from Jeff Lester - the owner. He now ignores my request asking him who his insurance company is and requesting a copy of the "supposedly" filed claim. This is a low life, slime ball moving company who's owner is a crook and a dirt bag. This has been the most UNBELIEVABLE horrible experience I have ever encountered with a company. They need to be put out of business!

After a brief period of dating this woman I decided to terminate the relationship. You know the woman scorned thing!
We thought we had movers all set up and when they called to confirm, they had our order all wrong so we canceled with that company and scrambled as we were to move ON LABOR DAY! My friend remembered seeing the trucks for Tomahawk on his way to work so we decided to call them and they came through for us wholeheartedly and were awesome. They make sure you know of any scuffs or scratches on your existing furniture as they know they will not scratch or ruin your stuff. They were pleasant to work with, quick and very helpful. Thank you very much for helping with our move yesterday!

I was really impressed with this company. The crew was proffessional and courteous. I have had other companies that drug their feet. Not this one they did a superb job. I would recommend this one from personal experience.

Would not recommend Tomahawk Movers, owner does not live up to his word. Took extra insurance out in case of breakage. Piece of furniture was damage, almost 4 months and still claim hasn't been taken care of. Call Jeff the owner almost everyday, horrible about returning calls. Would not ever use company again.

We apologized to Ms.Hubbard and her claim was settled by the insurance company. Unfortunately, it took them a while to settle the claim. As a result we have changed our insurance company.
