Steve provided accounting services for several of my businesses, as well as personal accounting services, since 1988. Not only is he a proven knowledgeable and trusting accountant with a high level of integrity, Steve has become a friend, whom I count a pleasure to have known for many years.

This is the second year I have worked with Steve at RRB for my tax filing(s). It's an entirely different experience working with RRB. They work face to face, over email, and phone so it's not painful to exchange information and documentation. Steve also corrected a few years worth of mishandled depreciation on a rental, and this year after selling the rental--I was rewarded by his proactive (and corrective) measures. There have never been any hidden fees. I don't plan on using another accounting service ever again.

I held two part time jobs in 2010, and then became a 1099 in June. I used Steve to help me estimate my quarterly payments. Terrible idea..I was not impressed in the least at the stacks and mess of papers ALL over his office. The worst was Steve far underestimated my payments and SURPRISE! After visiting a different CPA I now owe over $3,000 in state and federal taxes. I was not shown much attention obviously, and do not reccomend RRB.

Your comment points out a critical aspect when calculating estimated taxes. After you and/or a CPA have prepared your first estimated tax payment, our firm advises all clients to review this calculation throughout the year, especially as it becomes closer to year end. Income and resulting taxes are variable, while estimated taxes are an approximation at a certain point in time. The IRS points this out on their web site:
“After setting up a spreadsheet for estimated taxes, be sure to save it for future reference. You can (and should) use it again to get a more accurate projection of your tax liability later in the year. And then you will be able to adjust your estimated payments so you pay in just the right amount.”
Doing only one estimate at mid-year certainly does not follow the advice given.
Steve had to wade through my records and research the history on my accounts. All I can say is that he is a Saint! My IRS issues are almost a thing of the past. Steve was highly Professional and responsive. I will use his service in the future

I found Steve Rothschild on Kudzu and had him complete my 2008 and 2009 taxes. He completed everything in a timely manner and was very patient with me and my lack of organization. Phone calls and emails have always been returned prompty. I plan on using his services soon for financial planning as well.

I have used various accountants and CPA's over the years and have returned to RRB and Steve over and over again. Fast service, detailed, and attentive. I use RRB for my personal and business tax returns currently, and highly recommend them to anyone looking for business and tax services second to none. Allen M.

"Steve is a highly ethical accounting professional who has from time to time provided me with accounting and business advice. He is always timely in his responses and has never failed to make himself available to me when in need of assistance. As an accountant, Steve understands the line between accounting as an art versus the science of accounting, being sure to understand the customers level of risk aversion and communicating to the customer the risk(s) being taken by that position."

I can, without hesitation, recommend Steve as truly excellent accountant and business adviser.

I have been dealing with an IRS problem for around a year and went to see Steve at RRB. He is the best! He understood my problem and went right to the root to resolve it. Steve kept me informed and up-to-date on everything that was going on. I would highly recommend him to all of my friends. Thanks Steve for everything!
