I went to them initially to handle the discovery phase of a case I was involved in, I chose them based on the rep. on Kudzu and by the fact that Tim Boyd impressed me as someone who was very knowledgable about assest protection which was also something I needed. The price I paid for that work was high considering it turned out to only be one round of questions. But they did do a good job with it and I was happy. What I am not happy with is the fact that I paid 3K to have them reorg. several LLC's that I own. Long story short, this also was turned over to a junior attorney, Jennifer Gibbs, who basically set on it and did nothing with it for over 6 months, meanwhile, the timing she knew was critical. I contacted her several times regarding the matter and each time she promised to get the doc. to me and never did, finally when it came time for me to file my taxes she sent me a BLANK business doc. like you would find at office depot for 10 dollars. I was stunned 3K for a blank document. I contacted Tim Boyd and told him I wanted my 3K refuned b/c not only did she sit on it for 6 months she also never performed the work. Tim said he would look in to it and handle it personally. Bottom line is it is still not done, evidently he is way to busy to handle something this small. I ended up taking the matter to my family attorney to get the work done. At this pt. anything less than a refund of 3K and an apology will ensure I will not use them again nor recommend them to anyone.

Tim Boyd is very quick to take your money (thousands of dollars)), but he surely does not fulfill his promises. Make sure that he signs a document that holds him responsible for what he promised to do before he takes your money!

I hired Tim Boyd to represent me in a probate matter, Mr. Boyd ask for a retainer down payment of $800.00.We were to meet on 10/18/10 to discuss the plan of the case I called him on 10/15/10 and was informed he would be in court 10/18/10 and 10/19/10 he would call me when time permitted. I called again on 10/20/10 mind you I go to court on 10/25/10. Mr. Boyd call me two hours later I ask him what is the plan could he tell me and email me he couldn't that when I told him I didn't need him to represent my case and ask for my $800.00 back. I received $500.00 he kept $300.00. I ask for a invoice for what he did for $300.00 I still have not received the invoice. That is not right to take my money and don't tell me what you did for $300.00.

We hired Tim Boyd to help with a business partnership issue, stressing a sense of urgency. But the only thing he was quick to do was hold our $2000 retainer for 5 months, after we decided to go with a different counsel! It took several e-mails, multiple calls to Tim and his office staff + a threat of small claims to get part of our retainer back. He kept $500 for making 2 phone calls, what a theif! But it's a big hassle and time from work (which cost's more money) to go after him Tim is a disgraced in his profession! Well, one of the great laws of nature is "what goes around, comes around". Poetic Justice will find him! Until then, seek no justice from this firm they have none to offer! I wonder if there's a managing partner at this firm who would care?...

We used Barrister Law to help us with the legal portion of refinancing our home. Because they didn't do some of the paperwork in a timely manner, it ended up costing us MORE money!! We won't do that again...
