Apex did a fantastic job on our privacy fence, and we would recommend them very highly. They had the best price of the three quotes we obtained and were able to get started on the job quicker than anticipated. The three guys on the job, led by Robert, also get high marks. Our experience with Apex Fence Company and Bill Woodbury was fantastic! Bill was professional, VERY knowledgable, and made the process run smooth from start to finish. We needed a fence for our new pool. We got three quotes, and Apex not only was the most competitive, but their technician was the most knowledgeable of the three. The job was done on time, finished product is great, and you aren't expected to make the final payment until you approve that the job was done correctly.

We had a large 4 rail fence installed in preparation for a pool installation. The job was scheduled and completed quickly- meeting all of my expectations. A few weeks later, we needed to change the gating configuration. The company responded quickly and made the adjustments. The crews that accomplished the work were professional, respectful and communicated throughout the process. Fast forward to the latest job they accomplished for us - We needed to have some of the fencing "re-installed" as a result of bringing in the heavy equipment for the pool install. Once again, excellent work, professional workers, polite and on time. I highly recommend this company for anyone looking for fencing.

Really liked the sales guy and how he quoted and laid out the fence design. They handled the utility marking and completed the fence a week earlier than projected even with the rain. The actual crew that came out was very nice but not efficient. They rain out of concrete, nails and had to go back and get the nail gun that they left on another job. So a day job took two days. They picked up some but weren't as detailed as I would have preferred. Price quote was competitive and they came back within a couple of days to fix a problem with the gate latch. So we're pleased with the result even if the crew who came out was not so impressive.

Much like other recent reviews I've read, the quality is great, but the customer service is lacking. We had a relatively small job. The sales rep responded quickly and gave us a quote in the neighborhood of another quote we had. Given the high ratings on Kudzu, we went with Apex. During the course of the construction, we asked their installer if we could have a different kind of gate, and if we could run some pickets an additional 10 feet. He said sure, no problem. When the invoice came, there was a $200 change order added onto the total. At no point had an additional quote been given, no increase cost notice, etc. The sales person and the owner were astonishingly rude and snippy, beyond unprofessional (shockingly so). They couldn't understand why I would be surprised at a 20% increase to the quote, saying I should be smarter than the installer on fence costs and it's my fault that I asked their company rep on site instead of calling the sales guy. Yes, I can see a small charge added on, but not a 20% increase. I should at least been informed of the extra cost prior to the work or at a minimum immediately afterwards. I offered to meet them halfway, and after rudely arguing and belittling me, the owner relented. I'm still in shock at the condescending attitude. If you use them, you'll get great quality and a fair price, but they will expect you magically to know the cost increases without the on-site guy saying "yes but it could add to the cost."

I spoke with this client personally after his demand to speak to the owner concerning his decision to add fencing and a second gate which was 20% more work. Greg72 is an educated, intelligent man and he asked our "installer" Thomas, if he would be able add a gate and approximately 10 additional linear feet to his project. Thomas assessed the materials on his truck and informed our client that he would be able to do that. Greg72 did not call his estimator or our office to see what the additional charges would be. When Thomas returned from his day he told the office that our customer had added these services and the office appropriately created a change order for the additional footage and the gate. Greg72 was shocked that the addition of work at his request would cost more. In my opinion Greg72 hides behind a perceived veil of ignorance. I used the metaphorical example of standing in a McDonalds and ordering more food, I asked him if he would expect to pay for the additional items, his answer was yes but there's a menu board.(Yes, that could be perceived as snippy) FWIW, we never, ever charge more than is quoted unless our clients add services and footage. Bill nor myself were rude with you nor did we say you should be smarter or belittle you, neither of us could believe you were actually trying to justify that you didn't believe you were obligated to pay for additional services that you requested. All of this over a 100 dollar bill, what a monumental waste of time. We take full responsibility when we make mistakes and do everything in our power to make everything right. In this case though, you know better, and we know that you know better.
Apex was scheduled to install our fence on a Wednesay, but called saying they had an opening on Tuesday if we wanted it installed sooner. The crew was on time, polite, and finished the install in about 5 hours. They cleaned up behind themselves, and did a great job. Highly recommended.

The best price estimate by far. The installation was perfect. The customer service was also. Even allowed us to modify the job (which required more materials and work) at the last minute and did not change the price. Far superior to many home improvement companies and contractors we have hired. I highly recommend this company!

Its been 5 months, contract is not fulfilled. Wrong fence (aluminum vs steel). wrong gate. did not work around a tree as agreed on. This is just 150' of fence! They changed the contract and sent me a final invoice without contacting me. Their change isn't even completed. The contract was a sham; their change was deception.

Dear Mr. Duke Windsor, your contract was signed on July 3rd and we installed the fence on August 5th, a 5 week lead time is completely normal in our industry over the peak season. You were updated on July 22nd and July 31st with installation dates. On September 3rd Kim called the office and informed us that the arched gate was never installed. After explaining to her that the arched gate takes 4-5 weeks to fabricate and ship from the supplier she agreed that we would install a flat gate in place of this and swap for the arched gate when it came in at a cost of 250.00 to Apex fence so your yard would be secure during the interim.
On October 13th a crew was dispatched to install the arched gate. Upon arrival Brad explained to Kim that the opening for the gate needed to be increased 2" to allow for the new gate. It was explained that the posts on either side would be moved out 1" and the arched gate installed. Kim let us know that she did not want to move the posts and that she would keep the flat top gate. Following this we deducted the difference ($150.00) between the two gates and forwarded the invoice for payment.
We did install a more expensive Montage galvanized steel fence on your property instead of aluminum by accident, we did not ask you to pay the difference of $450.00! It was our mistake so we ate the additional costs. You have received an additional $600.00 of product on your property between the gate reduction and Montage steel upgrade from my company not to mention we are now the proud owners of a custom gate that you ordered and decided not to have us install when we made the additional trip back.
We'll still be here if you ever need us in the future because that's the way we roll.
