I contracted with the Closet Factory to install laundry room cabinets and pantry cabinets with 2 countertops. They installed the cabinets but when problems started with the countertops fitting... correctly, they walked away and never came back. I phoned and received no answer from the sales person. They never finished the work but charged my credit card in full regardless. I had to contract with a new countertop vendor to finish the work, paying for countertops twice.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
This company has on display different material than what they try to install, stood up twice by owner.

My experience with Closet Factory was EXCELLENT! Without the vision and commitment of our designer, Kathy, my closet wouldn't look as fantastic as it does. It looks like a million bucks!!!!! It exceeds our expectations and we have the dream closet we always wanted within a reasonable price. And best of all, Kathy made it work within our budget! Our Closet Factory experience was fabulous and smooth from beginning to end, the whole staff provided quick responses and were always available. The installers were very professional and made sure we were happy with all aspects of the installation. From beginning to end the whole process was very personal and pleasant! You guys did an awesome job and I definitely will spread the word. I wish you well!!!

I can’t put in to words how satisfied that I am with The Closet Factory. Kathy caught my vision immediately how I wanted the design to look. My closet system was designed on time and installed exactly the way I wanted it. After several months of preparing for a move and renovation of a new space I can truly say that this was by far the most effortless part of the entire process. If you are looking for great service backed up with a great product I would definitely recommend The Closet Factory.

We have not written many reviews, however since we went online to check, we felt it was fair to write one. We hope it is helpful listing the steps we took. We interviewed a few companies since there are so many around Atlanta. This did get confusing with different designs, systems, warranties, materials, etc. It was really difficult to compare ‘apples to apples”. We did our research and went to showrooms. We even read the reviews online—good and bad. We asked about the reviews, however we didn’t give them much weight when making our decision. We know not to believe one side of the story (what is real on the internet?). We are truly thankful we didn’t. Our job cost over $15,000 and took a week to build. They build the closet piece by piece; it was not brought in like our kitchen cabinets. Anytime I had a question during the week, the office was always there and the designer called me back that day. All the other closet company’s designers were very personable and a couple of the companies had fascinating design programs. Closet Factory was the only company to show us how we would truly maximize the space and actually had pictures of past jobs. No other company could figure out how to design our closet. We could not be more thrilled and would gladly recommend them to anyone. I hope this review helps to answer concerns others may have as they embark on their research.

We discovered recently that Closet Factory had bought out a competitor in our area from whom we had previously done business with, and had taken over their existing space. We needed to order some additional shelving for our closet system, and they were able to do this. That's the good part. The bad part was that we ordered the shelves and were told they would be delivered on a specific day. When I went to the store that day, I was told the shelves had not come in yet, but was "guaranteed" they would be in by the end of the day. I went in the following afternoon, and was told "Oh no, you have to go pick them up from our facility in Roswell". Nothing like doing exactly opposite of what you say you'll do. The other totally irritating issue about this location is they apparently only show up when they feel like it. Their hours are only 10-4 Mon-Sat, but I went by several times during those times and nobody was there. In addition, even if they are there, the doors are locked. Seriously? This isn't exactly a high-crime area, and it's not like they keep a bunch of money in the cash register since probably 99% of their business is pay-in-advance credit card orders.

We have used the Closet Factory on three different occasions - our kitchen pantry, garage storage, and just recently our master bedroom closet. Kathy helped us with our design and helped us come up with unique solutions at an affordable price. Our neighbor saw the garage and had them install a similar system one week later. We have found everyone on the closet factory team to be personable and professional. Highly recommended.

These people operated like gangsters. Read everything before you sign anything. They will send installers that do not know what they are doing, do not speak English, and will spend only a few hours on the first day. On the second day they will demand another 40%, for a total of 90% down, before they continue. If you do not pay they bring out the “CLIENT INFORMATION FORM” that you signed and claim that you are behind in payments and threaten to add fees, penalties, storage and interest and if you don’t pay they will put a mechanics lien on your property. The quality of the product is just as poor as their attitude. The Better Business Bureau even rates them with an “F”.

I had a master closet, pantry, and garage unit installed in my home. They promised me that it would take three days to complete. They completed the job on time. I did have to pay a 50% deposit and the first day of installation I had to pay another 40%. I agreed to the terms of the contract which I gladly signed. I recently had some high-end cabinets installed in my kitchen. I had to pay 90% down before they started also. I was happy with that installation as well. My wife loves her new closet and has since referred a neighbor. Good luck and thanks Closet Factory. Great Job!

A Closet Factory salesperson came to our home on a Saturday recently and measured and discussed our needs for a closet remodel. We signed an agreement and were promised a design plan for our approval. They charged a substantial deposit on our credit card that same day (Saturday). After considering the project the next day (Sunday) with our son we decided to cancel the contract. We checked with the GA Governors Office of Consumer Affairs and were informed that we had the right to cancel the contract within 3 business days and that the business was required to return the deposit within 10 days. We cancelled the contract by communicating with Closet Factory within the 3 business day period (and before they had delivered the design plan for our approval) by phone, email and certified mail asking for our deposit back as they are required to do under Georgia law. While they acknowledged the cancellation by email, they have failed to return the deposit to us and ignore our repeated demands for the return of our money. We do not recommend doing business with Closet Factory - Atlanta.

I had no problems with Closet Factory. This was the only company we called out. We liked the web site, product, warranty, and the designer worked with us on the price. They were able to do all of this the first visit. We had no problems with the install. Everything was as expected. Thank you. We will pass your name along.

Thank you Jeff!! We have enjoyed working with you on your many projects!! And thanks so much for the referrals. George was wonderful to work with! Gorgeous home! We look forward to working with you on your garage also.
We are thankful for the opportunity to respond to the reviews listed. We have numerous repeat, happy clients. We have been blessed with their repeat business and referrals. Thankfully, the negative reviews posted are not the sentiments shared by all of our clients. We have implemented a new policy in following up with each client after install. Since doing this, we have had tons of feedback, all positive!! The review by doright is confusing. I looked up in our database and I couldn’t find anything related to the feedback given. I would like to comment on how Closet Factory works with our clients. It is our policy to work with the client on selecting materials (e.g. melamine colors on industrial grade particleboard, MDF, or quality wood veneer on plywood core), working on the design together with the client, and all within our client’s budget. We of course want our client’s business and I do not know of a designer that has offered a price with a time limit—since this has never been our policy. Now this particular client stated they had the same design with a wall hung (WH) system vs. a floor based (FB) system. FB systems offer more flexibility than a WH system and are more expensive, WH pricing is actually closer to a 40-43% difference. If the pricing listed in the review was retail pricing, the WH system should have been priced approximately $1,385 less.
