spec-tacular "Eye" care attitude!, 4/16/2013

I stopped by Midtown Eyecare this morning, expecting to look for new frames. I was not happy with the look and the fit of new frames (and lenses) that I purchased just a few weeks ago-- and I was... willing to buy another pair. Upon entering Midtown Eyecare store at the Whole Foods shopping Center on Ponce, I was greeted immediately by Kay who listened as I explained my situation. Rather than helping me choose new frames that might suit me better, she (very surprisingly) admired the new glasses that I was wearing-- and asked for the opinions of her co-workers as well. There was no mention whatsoever regarding a new selection. When I complained about the poor fit-- Kay took the time to adjust them for me. She continued to make adjustments until the fit was amazingly great. I inquired about their prices for frames and lenses, but there was no pressure from Kay-- who was very friendly, respectful and real. I walked out satisfied and relieved without paying a cent. How often does this happen?? Although I can't speak for their products, this experience sure afforded me a brighter outlook!
