Please do not let the review about the weed make you turn your head from our company. That was a client that got upset because she was trying to get money out of the company and when she did not get what she wanted she wrote that bad review about our company. However you can go on our website to review a list of references that you can email anytime to see what type off company we really are. If you would like phone numbers of our references then you will need to call our company to receive the phone numbers. Our company will not post clients phone numbers on our website. Thank you for your time and understanding in this matter. Julius at Jay's Special Moving Service

I bought a Groupon for Jay's Special Moving Service. When they came in I was overwhelmed by the smell of weed that was coming off of them. The two men did not behave as though they were high given how strongly they smelt. They started right away and did a very good job packing and unpacking. But they installed my dryer incorrectly which caused it to break. When I emailed my complaint the "part owner" called and immediately was on the defensive stating that her guys are telling her a different story and she didn't care what I had to say because she believes them and I can take them to small claims court because she isn't going to talk to me anymore. then she hung up on me. I would not use this company their customer service is very poor!

We have used jay's special moving service twice now with great results and service. They moved us from our dunwoody house to alpharetta last march. We also used them again when we sold our lake house in south Carolina. These movers went all the way to SC AND back to Atlanta with minimal charges and excellent service. I am shocked that there are any negative reviews. jay's team was more professional, careful, and respectful than any other moving company I have worked with. I will refer them to all my friends and family!

I had 3 guys and the largest truck to move a 3BR house. I made 5 trips in my car , broke down all furniture & they still could not manage to fit everything on the truck in 3 hrs. 1 guy exceptional, 1 guy average, & the other guy who walked around w/ his cell phone playing music was terrible. I basically had 1 1/2 guys working which cost me an extra $100 for the hr over! When I asked the last guy to help unload the truck, he told me the other 2 had it & were almost finished. Really!!!! Then he went to hook my washer& dryer up & did not tell me he did not do it. Went to wash clothes and water went everywhere & dryer never hooked up! Nice personnel, good deal, but Jays needs professional and efficient hard workers who can pack a truck! 1 out of 3 is unacceptable especially when spending $!

It took a few months after I moved for me to find e damage done to my furniture, but I found where my furniture had been dragged (my leather sectional) and the leather was ruined in the corners. I also found where my wood entertainment center had been roughed up against sides, and now looks like the corners took a beating. Same thing to my round wood tabletop, it looks like they might have actually rolled it on the sides and when they set it, they turned the damage away from me and I didn't see it till a few months later. They moved with energy, but they the decrease in care and quality of service was not worth it.

Our company knows that clients look at reviews to see if they will hire our company for their move. We started our company in April 2011 with 3 guys and a lease truck. No we do not have our own truck yet however we have all our paperwork to prove that we are a business. Yes we lease our trucks but that does not mean that we are not a company. We just wanted to see where the company was going to go before we go buy and made a bill of 50,000 s or more for trucks. So, if you see the reviews that clients are talking about our trucks please over look them because we have all PAPERWORK to PROVE that we are a business. Our company works their best to be on time but sometimes things are out of our control. So our company will give you a target time but NOT a firm time that we will be there because we never know what will happen getting to your place.

I have used Jays service twice now, first to move my house from Buckhead to Suwanee, and 5 months later to move an armoire upstairs. On our initial move they had a team of 4 that were quick and careful. They covered all furniture and secured it safely in the truck. Nothing broken and no wall dings. The armoire they moved for me later is 450lbs solid wood (not an exageration). The moved it up the stairs very carefully. If you want the best value from a new business owner who cares about his reputation and quality of his work, use these guys. I certainly will on my next move.

Purchased a deal on groupon. Not sure how long they have been in business but my experience was not good. Movers showed up in a rental moving truck. Thought it was weird but ok if they were just starting out. Main issue is they brought no moving equipment besides a dolly for boxes only. I informed them of every item they would be moving even asked if they moved pianos. They brought no furniture dolly. I have large furniture so initially I was impressed until they tried to lift my piano. Needless to say that didn't work out well. Piano leg broke. I did not feel comfortable allowing them to move my front loader washer and dryer after that so I had to pay another company to move piano, washer and dryer properly. I will say my piano leg has been fixed. It took about a month but I'm thankful it was fixed. I don't like writing poor reviews but I wish I would have seen more reviews before I purchased groupon. And hopefully the review will help the company become more professional.

I would not recommend this company. We found the deal on groupon. I looked them up and found good reviews, but was very disappointed. Our time was scheduled from 12:30 - 2 when they would arrive. I had this time confirmed in an email (not saying approximately). When 2 rolled around I gave them a call, to find out they were behind schedule and would not be able to get there for another 30 mins to an hour. After another hour went by, we called again and it ended up being 4:30 before the movers arrived. We were told this is the type of business and we should expect things like this. I understand things come up, but a warning call would have been appreciated to continue with our move on our own instead of waiting from 12:30 to 4:30 and wasting all that time. When the movers arrived they were extremely friendly and polite, HOWEVER; we overheard we were the last stop of the day and since they were so late they would "help us out" by moving fast. They dinged up every piece of furniture they moved trying to go fast. I am extremely upset and disappointed. They also do not even own their own truck and rented a budget truck to do their moves. I would have rather paid more money for a legit moving service than the $100 groupon deal we received.

I found Jay's Special Moving Service through Groupon and decided to take a leap of faith that they would be good. They were better than good...they were FANTASTIC. Moving companies are notorious for being late. Jay and his team arrived 15 minutes early. I needed them to move my bedroom set that had to be taken apart and was extremely heavy. They were so professional, handled the furniture as if it was their own and made sure it stayed in great condition. I highly recommend Jay's Special Moving Service and will definitely be using them again.
