Chris diagnosed our roof leakage issue immediately (where other roofing companies did not). He was able to have his crew perform the repairs quickly. This was about 6 months ago and we have had no... further leak issues.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
Richard came out and gave me an estimate for a roof on my screened- in porch and a rake fascia board. He explained why it was higher than I expected, was patient and answered all my questions. Work... was scheduled, George showed up a little early on the day and worked diligently for 6 hours. No payment was asked for up front. I was happy with the work and professionalism.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

KTM fixed a leak on my roof, but replaced shingles with ones that didn't match our original shingles. We called them about the complaint, but they said there is nothing they can do about it. Now, I will have to spend more money to fix this error. No one will return our calls about this.
Area Lawrenceville, GA
Cost $500 - $999

: We sent our roofing repair consultant out to quote a repair at this residence on 4/8/16. Our roofing repair consultant gave a quote to repair the area needing attention and let the customer know that we would try our best to match the colors, but that there would be a slight difference in color due to the fading and wear and tear from the sun on the older shingles that would be surrounding the newer shingles. We matched the colors of the shingles to the best of our ability (3-tab Weathered Wood shingles) and sent the repair crew out to complete the repairs after receiving the customer's approval to do so. Upon completion, the customer had concerns that the colors did not match, as was warned prior to completing the repair. Per the customer's request, we scheduled our quality control consultant out to inspect the job completed, and he found the same thing our repair consultant found - that the shingle colors did not match exactly due to the fading, wearing and tearing of the older shingles. The repair was completed properly, and we were able to stop the leaks and further damage to the roof and to the home. The shingle types matched, as did the original shingle colors. Had we chosen a shingle color that matched more closely to the current color of the older shingles, the sun would fade, wear and tear the newer shingles to quickly become a different color from the older shingles (probably a lighter color). This color-matching issue is inevitable when repairing a section of the roof as opposed to replacing the entire roof, no matter what type of shingles are used. The only way to avoid this issue at all is to replace the entire roof, which the customer did not want considering the condition of the rest of the roof. If there was a resolution to this issue, we would have been more than happy to do so. However, for this particular situation, there is not.

I would not recommend using this company. I contracted with KTM to repair a leaky rook. They were supposed to replace two roof deck board that had holes in them and patch the roof. They did neither and during the severe rain we had in December, the leak worsened and became a stream of water. The insulation got wet and my ceiling fell. Once the ceiling had fallen, I could see the rafters and the roof deck boards. The board that had the hole in it and was supposed to be replaced had a shingle over it and a nail driven through it (I've got pictures). KTM sent another roofer out to repair, the initial repair. He did more work than the first two who came out. He replaced one of the boards and re-patched the roof. He did not replace the second board.

The customer called KTM in regards to two leaks. We at KTM Roofing provided him with a proposal to fix the leaks. We, not only did what we said we would do per our contract, we also came back and replaced an entire valley and replaced decking as needed, these items were not in the contract.
The contract we provided did not remedy all of the problems this customer had with his roof, so we took it upon ourselves to go above and beyond and provide far more than for which we are getting paid. We have pictures of both repairs.
The damage this customer has inside of his home is due to the leaks he. We did not cause the problems; we fixed them.
We received bids from several roofers and were about to settle until KTM Roofing showed up. Richard spent the time to actually climb the roof to measure, put a estimate together on the spot while most others took 4-5 days just to get back to us with a quote. He then explained everything about the job in a very detail manner including reviewing things the other roofers hadn't even discussed. Continued to explain the roof process with his laptop with pictures on how it is done correctly. WOW the visuals made it so much easier to understand the written quote. Major work on your home can be stressful. My wife and I are very pleased with the outcome of the work and especially the efforts of KTM Roofing and their team to make this as easy and painless as they did. Many thanks!

KTM put on a new roof for our house last week. Being a data person I vetted 16 top-rated roofers on Kudzu - I felt my due diligence truly paid off. KTM costs the least (30% less than the most costly), offers 12-yr labor warranty (compared to the mainstream 10-yr), uses crews that have been with the company for long time and doesn't ask for any upfront payment. Aside from the cut-n-dry numbers, Kevin took the time to inspect my roof and explained that repair (rather than replacement) is also an option; Tim (the owner) was easily accessible (and laid back) patiently explained to me why one should never pay any home repair job upfront. The project went smoothly (and cleanly) as planed with the hand-working crew and project manager on-site. Highly recommended!

We met with several different companies when trying to decide on a roofing contractor to use for our roof replacement. Kevin was very thorough and detail-oriented. After speaking with him, we felt comfortable about going forward. We were very pleased with the work that was done as well as the work ethic and professionalism of the crew. Since we have young children, we were a little nervous about the clean up, but they did a great job with this as well.

My experience with KTM Roofing has been fantastic. I was impressed with the amount of time the estimator took to explain each step of the process. Initially, photos were taken of my roof's existing problems and loaded into his computer. Then each problem was addressed and solutions were explained. I felt like I'd truly been educated and was prepared to make a knowledge based decision. The installers were courteous, competent and respectful of my property. Their level of workmanship was excellent. I also found the office staff to be professional, polite and very helpful. I would highly recommend KTM Roofing.

We had to replace a ridgevent that blew off in a storm. Kevin came out, got up on the roof, and left a bid for the minimum charge for repairs. We thought we may need to replace all the shingles along the ridgelines as our roof is 25 yrs old. Kevin told us it would be better to wait since we would probably need to replace the roof in 5 yrs. How encouraging to meet a salesperson looking out for your best interest. We had Dr. Roof come out as well since their min charge for repairs was less. The sales guy would not get up on the roof and his bid was $100 more. When the KTM service guy showed up we found out the roof was never vented. The builder just stuck a ridgevent up there. He vented it and did the installation w/no extra charge. This company has integrity!

Update on Previous Review: In October of this last year, we had KTM come out to replace our gutters and they worked great initially. During our inspection and estimate, their representative suggested that we divert one drain from draining underneath the home via a previously installed downspout drain to draining off to the side because of some overflow from the downspout. He did a cursory test of where the water flowed and recommended that we change the flow of drainage based on what he saw despite not knowing the the cause of the overflow in the downspout drain. We trusted him based on his experience and the company's reputation. That, unfortunately, has been a major mistake and a costly recommendation. As the rainy season hit, we have discovered significant leaking in our garage on the wall closest to where the water was diverted. After speaking with several foundation experts, they all believe that the water accumulation against the foundation is due to the water coming from that gutter. Please make sure they carefully and thoroughly consider where water flows and drains before making any changes. (June 2015) - We were contacted by KTM concerning our review; however, they were unable to help us with the issue as they don't offer any assistance outside of gutter installation/maintenance. We appreciated the follow-up.

Fantastic Job!! The roof looks great!! The crew was the best. Arrived on time and kept me informed throughout the project. Kevin, Tim, Edwin and Pueblo were wonderful. Everyone in the entire process was very helpful. Returned calls promptly. Answered all of my questions or concerns. Most of all, I never felt pressured. I am truly a satisfied customer and will recommend KTM to family, friends and neighbors.
