I went to this dentist for 3 years. At each 6 month appt., I complained of pain in one area of my mouth where I had a recent crown/root canal. Dr. Baumrind stated that it was "phantom pain." After 3 years of the issue, I finally went to another dentist who immediately identified severe periodontal disease and an abscess in that area of the mouth caused by a foreign object that had been left in my gum during the crown procedure done by Dr. Baumrind. I have spent thousands of dollars out of pocket on peridontal surgery, a bone graft and now a root canal re-treatment all because he ignored my condition. He also does not take peridontal measurements during your regular appts which is standard. He also only took a couple of x-rays in the 3 years I was his patient and never a full mouth scan. He is very schmoozy but not conscientious or ethical. His daughter does whatever he advises her to do. Not an independent thinker.

Sarabess Baumrind is a fantastic dentist. Not only is she super-nice but she does an excellent job. Previous dentists have given me fillings that take weeks to feel correctly aligned in my mouth but Sarabess did my fillings and spent time making them perfect... and they were! No misalignment at all. The office staff is great too, they really seem to care and will thoroughly explain insurance complications! Great office.

Dr Baumrind is absolutely the best dentist I've ever had. I have AWFUL teeth and he never made me feel uncomfortable about it. Or give me a lecture. He was considerate of my time and extremely efficient. I'm so happy with the work he's performed on my teeth. He is genuinely caring about his patients and you can tell he loves what he does! Thanks doc!

Thanks to Dr. Baumrind & Baumrind for always being professional and doing good work. I've been going to them for 4 years, and have never had a problem. I appreciate them working with me and providing good care!

I had a very bad experience with this dentist. He is high pressure and does bad work. I'm sorry I ever had him work on my teeth. There are many good Dentists in Atlanta but this guy is NOT one of them.

Caring on the outside but not so caring on the inside!!! The work he did on me all had to be redone within three years by someone else.

I totally disagree with the last review. Dr. Baumrind and his staff were wonderful! I haven't been to the dentist in years and they were nice and gentle. He was reasonably priced. I felt I was getting excellent dental care. I work downtown and live in the suburb, but I'm bringing my entire family there now!

I agree with the last two reviews about this dentist. In both of those reviews it refers to the way this dentist is drill happy. When I went to him for a check up he wanted to do so much stuff to my teeth I almost fell out of the chair. I also(like the last reviewer) ended up going to another dentist who informed me my teeth were in good shape. I agree that this guy must be hurting for victims(oops I mean patients).

I went to this dentist and at first liked his seemingly pleasant personalty. Unfortunately then over time I came to realize he kept on suggesting lots of dental work that I definitely didn't need. All I can say is watch out for your wallets and virgin teeth with this guy.

I visited the location next to the Central library (I heard they are moving to another building around 12/15/06). The lobby is very austere, the equipment is a bit outdated, the teeth cleaning was quite rough, Dr. Baumrind is very nice, but he wanted to do so much work on my teeth that I thought that he is in a dear need of patients!! Might go there again though you have to pay a parking fee.

Went on a Kudzu recommendation and loved it. He is a fantastic dentist with a modern and technologically advanced office, real skill at his profession and (this is usually contradictory but not in this case)a great manner and personality. One of the ways that this shows is that all of the people who work there are happy, and are therefore very pleasant to be around. Baumrind will definitely be my and my family's dentist henceforth!

My experience at Dr. Baumrind's office has been nothing short of excellent. He is the friendliest, funniest dentist I have ever encountered. He tells you what he is doing and how he's going to do it. He is also very quick which means alot to my mouth. He is very experienced. His staff is also great. Highly trained and very experienced. He is not covered by my insurance (which is not the best insurance), but he is well worth the extra expense. His location is very convenient. His receptionist/accountant, Joan, goes above and beyond the duty of working with you financially. She is also very sweet. I would recommend him to everyone and anyone!

Dr. Baumrind has provided me great service in the past. He has also explained and made it clear to me the importance of keeping my teeth healthy in order to avoid unnecessary costs at the dental office. To me that is good service when you can tell a patient what needs to be done to avoid seeing the dentist as much as possible. I would definitely recomment his dental services to anyone.
