I had high hopes for Scott being the right contractor for us. Biggest mistake ever! We hired him to remodel our master bathroom. He said the project would take 3 weeks and the glass would take 10 days to 2 weeks once measurements were taken. It has been 6 weeks and is not complete. The workers did so much damage along the way and Scott just ignores calls and only replies to pieces of texts. The new tile is scratched up and Scott used steel wool to remove the scratches...and the finish! Now he won't reply to direct questions to get it fixed. It's been 3 weeks since the glass was measured for and ordered, still no glass and I can't get a straight answer on installing it. I complained constantly about covering surfaces to no avail. The shower drain was not covered during demo and all sorts of of junk got down in it and when we ran the shower for the first time it would not drain and LEAKED into our downstairs family room, another issue he ignores. The grout is a mess, from all the dust from drywall and paint and it will not come out. He ignores our direct questions about that as well. He has been paid along the way with only a small balance still outstanding, far less than it will cost for us to get the bathroom finished. We had so many issues along the way, it would take me hours to write it all. Bottom line, we would NEVER recommend this company.

This is the first negative review I've ever written. I do not take this lightly as I work in a sales and service occupation myself. We hired Scott to finish our basement. He gave us a very good (in retrospect, too good) estimate and said he could complete the work in 10 weeks. Things started out well but we ran into problems a few weeks into the project. There were things not done as we discussed, mistakes that needed to be corrected, or some projects simply began but not completed. Scott would not answer his phone or return voicemails regarding these issues. The only way to reach him was by email. He would respond but only mention one or two of the issues we had asked about. He just simply ignored many of our requests and concerns. We had been paying in installments as we went along which seemed reasonable at first. But when we repeatedly asked for an invoice or breakdown of charges he failed to comply. Six months in to the project Scott bailed on us and stopped replying to our emails and phone calls completely. They never even returned to collect their lockbox on the basement door. We still have some work to be done to have the basement completely finished as we desired. It took 6 months instead of 10 weeks to do the work they completed. We never received any invoice, receipts or other documents from his company. We had to call the county to verify that the work was done to code. Scott's poor communication and business practices are unprofessional and disrespectful.

Paid them $1,500 to install a tub, uninstall a toilet and extremely light demo. 2 teenage kids doing the demo managed to spill toilet water all through my house while taking it out. They cracked my brand new tub in two places. The main part of the demo was to remove the remaining old tile adhesive which they did not do...they did the easy demo which I would have done if I had know they were not going to decide not to do the hard part. So Andrew basically manipulated the itemized pricing so things were simply not done that actually took any amount of time. Lazy and unethical approach to my project. Oh!...and they did hang a little bit of backer board. And the idiot that did that cut it all at the edge of my open garage leaving this incredible amount of dust all over my garage on every damn thing. The dust will be there for years. The guy would not have done that to his garage, a family member or friend's garage. Unbelievable poor judgment. Had about $2,500 worth of project left that included tile work in the bathroom, a door frame, baseboards, etc... Called Andrew about 3 times, emailed him about 3 times and even texted him. For some reason I was willing to let him complete the job simply because we were excited to get it complete. Not one call, text or email back. How do people do business like that? I thought he may have been in the hospital but then saw all the current FB posts.
Project was a remodel of our bathroom. It included pretty much everything except cabinets and sink. We were to use our existing toilet too.

The project for a bathroom remodel was top notch. This was a very detailed project for a large master bath with high-end travertine tile, granite coutnertops, bubble tub, heated floors, frameless glass, pebble shower floor...nothing cookie cutter. A&C did a great job and Scott and his team were very easy to work with. Final project turned out Great!

Thank you for the business Mrs. S. Bathrooms seem to be very popular lately and we definitely enjoy completing them. We so enjoyed meeting you and your husband and please keep us in mind for your next project! Make sure any of your friends who call us let us know they spoke with you so we can send you some referral fees!
I enjoy working with local and family businesses. They did a nice job on my Master Bath and had some great ideas. I enjoyed working with Kevin and the other installers. Everything looks very nice and my wife is happy. We will recommend these guys to our friends.

Thank you for the nice review! And just recently thank you for the referral as well! We all enjoyed working on your project and please let us know if there is anything you need.
Back in March, they submitted an impressive bid including letting me talk with their flooring subcontractor as flooring was a large part of the job. Was going to hire them, but after leaving multiple messages, they never called me back. Don't know what happened. During the bid process, they were calling me and seemed eager for the job. I told them that I would decide by the end of April. After calling them, waited two weeks to give them plenty of time to call me back but never heard from Scott Crockett again.

This was a complete master bath renovation.....As far as design is concerned, Scott was amazing! He also showed talent when it came to helping me pick out my tile and counter top. And he was beyond accommodating - bringing samples to my house, because I was not able to go out from my house at the time..... The quality of work varied - but all was at least good. The paint job was just a little sloppy and there doesn't seem to be enough grout in the floor tile - it sort of cuts my feet when I walk on it. The work took longer than we anticipated and cost more than we expected. There were some minor issues that needed to be addressed. Most were addressed after REPEATED telephone calls. A couple were not and it looks like never will be. I repeat these issues were minor. If you go with A&C, I suggest holding back some money until you have a few weeks to live with their work and decide what needs to be fine-tuned - because it may not happen after the fact. A&C is not the cheapest contractor on the block - so I expected more.

Within days of completing the estimate the crew began working to demolish our bathroom and recreate a a handicapped access bath complete with roll in shower, ADA sized doorways and built in furniture in the attached bedroom. They followed the estimate to the letter. We are very pleased with their work and work ethic. We had a short timeline for which the room needed to be finished and the work was done with time to spare. I would highly recommend them for any of your remodeling needs handicapped or otherwise.

Not real sure about the statements concerning the subs not being paid. I have done work for Andrews and Crockett for 3-4 years and have not had a problem. Scott has always been easy to work with, watchful over the quality of work, and very organized in his approach and management of every job. It has been a privilege to work with Scott, and I look forward to working with him in the future.

Andrews & Crockett repaired some damage to my home from 3 trees falling from the storm. They replaced some siding, rebuilt the overhangs, rebuilt part and repaired the roof and installed a new back door. They did a nice job and I am happy with the work. Thank you!

I hired Andrews & Crockett, Inc. to finish my bathroom in my Master. The bathroom looks great and I enjoyed Scott and his guys. They were courteous and easy to work with. I have seen the previous reviews on here and just do not see this as being the case. I am happy and certainly will call them again. Thank you Andrews & Crockett, Inc.

...to say the least. I am the owner of CHECKMATE Flooring and I can say only one think: during all the years we've been installing wood floors and carpet for A&C, we've NEVER had a dispute over payment with Mr. Crockett. I can be reached at my office in Duluth and, I assure you, I will stand behind my words (with PROOF if needed). Mike B. - STILL subcontracting for A&C

My initial reaction was positive, and the references checked out fine. However, custom cabinets were outside approved specs and A&C later claimed I had verbally approved the change. Also, after installation, A&C claimed I had approved significant overages, but I didn't. Project took significantly longer than anticipated. A&C did not pay at least one contractor, leaving me with a $1375 bill. update 1-16-11 - yet another subcontractor surfaced stating A&C was dodging calls and refusing to pay,
