Oxygen Fitness

I cannot understand the negative reviews here. I have been working out at this gym (actually both locations) for quite a while and have gotten to know all of the staff including the manager Omar. Everyone at both locations knows their stuff. When I first started I did what Omar recommended and I lost over 40 pounds. All of the equipment is top notch and just a couple weeks ago I saw John Cena (WWE wrestler) working out. If this place and the people were as bad as the few idiots I see whining here would have us believe, I doubt someone like that would choose to workout here when he is in town. Remember, on sites like this you will only hear from the few idiots that probably want everything for nothing and didn't get it so they are mad and the only place to vent where someone might believe them is a review (opinion) site like this one. I suggest you go check it out for yourself and make up your own mind instead of listening to me or anyone else here. I suspect those that know fitness and care about their health are the ones in the gym and taking every advantage of the place with no complaints.

I started going to this gym and immediately started getting sick every few weeks. Once I stopped going, I stopped getting sick.

What's worse is that Omar, the manager, is really and truly an idiot. And worse, he thinks he's really smart! And WORSE, he tries to bully people into continuing memberships, even after they're sick of dealing with gross equipment and poor attitudes from management.

It is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to cancel an account here-- My suggestion is to NEVER give him your credit card information. Pay only through check or cash, or he will continue to draw funds from your credit card even after you officially cancel your membership.

This WOULD BE a great gym if 1) it were kept clean and 2) Omar was fired. Since neither of those things are on the immediate horizon, I would suggest going elsewhere.

Sometimes you get what you pay for, and here, the cheap price relates to the cheap and dirty service.

I do however feel exceptionally sorry for his employees, whom I know for a fact feel the same as I do. The 5 friends of mine, that have also been members for the same amount of time as I have, feel likewise. Despite his repulsive ogling and monstrous attitude there were a few different factors to the reasons why 6 PEOPLE, who pay and waste $27 a month every month, stopped going to his gym. \rEvery one of us has had shady interactions with Omar. One or more us has been lied to, YELLED AT, berrated, stared down or threatened with bodily injury. If you ask me, these are NOT productive ways to run an establishment.\rI have determined the main factor to Omar's egotistical, pompous attitude. Anytime ANYONE tries to cancel their accounts he not only tricks you into ""freezing"" the account. He then scams you, takes your money and when you call to settle whats happening, refuses to give you the information you asked for and goes around and around with insults and trashing. Its quite disturbing and entirely ineffiecient as a business owner. In fact in my experience I had my bank account information stolen and had to get a new card # therefore my automatic draft was not going thru. I had no idea this was happening and was not informed. I missed 2 months (which is a total of $54) I didnt receive a phone call at all, I didnt receive a notice in the mail AT ALL, the first thing I received was a letter from a collections agency informing me that I now owe them $230.
