It all began with Tom Stogsdill. He was our sales consultant. He was on time for the evaluation and very professional. He explained codes and permitting for Fayette County. He spent a lot of time... answering our questions. Tom was very easy to contact and guided us step by step through the initial process. Sam Tidwell is our project manager. He is extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of the building process. He explained everything about the materials and procedures that were going to be used. Under him, we had a new deck built, new roof, new columns, exterior paint and new gutters. I had prepared myself for a lot of stress over this, but Sam made it stress-free. He took care of everything and any questions we had, he was available and capable of answering even to my extremely particular husband about how things are done. He often went out of his way for us, moving a freezer for the painters and installing screening and windows himself. The workmanship is excellent. I just love our new covered deck. The crew, led by Casey, worked long hours to complete the job and always left the area clean. They were even nice to my dogs when they escaped. The roof was done by a great crew in one day, really incredible to see them work. Our columns were up in just a couple of hours. The painters are willing to work weekends. The gutters are custom-made on-site. They are just amazing. I would absolutely recommend them for any exterior job and use them again if we ever needed anything.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

The work that Exovations crews did was superb. They were quick and at the same time very precise. Workmanship is extraordinary. I would use them again for any major project.

What I really appreciate is their project management. No matter how many outsourcing partners are involved in a project, I only have to talk to one guy and that's it. Whether I'm working with Tony or Josh, their system is extremely beneficial to me. They communicate extremely well so that I always have a firm understanding of the project and where we are in the process.

They did a great job. The windows went in without a problem. The installers were pleasant and knew exactly what they were doing. The only thing they forgot was to clean the adhesive and such off the outside of the windows. But, Marcus came through and took care of it right away. This is my second time using Exovations for window replacement. I highly recommend them.

I was very pleased with the process from beginning to end. I have used them in past, and I will use them again.

I called Exovations because of all the good reviews on Kudzu. I made an appointment to obtain a quote for building a deck at my home. It took 1 1/2 weeks to get someone out there but when the appointment day came no one from Exovations showed up nor did I receive any notification before or after that they were not coming. So I wasted the entire day. Not a good way of establishing a relationship with a customer willing to pay for a 5 figure project. Maybe Exovations is getting so busy they feel they don't need to keep commitments. Anyway, buyer beware that even though they have had good reviews in the past they may not be as good in the future.

Mr. Harris - We checked our appointment calendar and your appointment was actually scheduled for Monday, May 2. It is our policy to confirm our appointments with a follow-up email. We checked that email, and it too shows Monday, May 2. We called you this morning to discuss this and you replied that you were told your appointment was on Monday, April 25. While it is clear in our records that the appointment was for May 2, we understand that miscommunication can happen. We appreciate your willingness to keep your original appointment and we look forward to meeting with you this Monday.
As a small business owner I realize the challenge of putting together a skilled and capable team that will execute a job successfully. Exovations has done just that, overall our experience was a WOW. They transformed the exterior of our house so much so...our neighbors have joined us is saying "WOW". Thank You for a great experience and please congratulate each work team for doing such a dynamic job.

The job was not anything like their advertisement, on time and stress free. The job took longer than expected. We never knew when they would show up, and the communication was poor. The salesman ordered the wrong door, however Jim, the project manager stuck with us and made sure we were happy in the end and got the look that we wanted to get. Even though the experience was painful, our house does look fantastic and in the end Exovations made us happy and stuck with us.

You are right. Your experience with us was not what we promise nor what we are capable of. There is no excuse for ordering the wrong materials, mismanaging the project schedule and not adhering to our “Project Site Code of Conduct,” which includes leaving a clean job site every day. While we are happy that you are pleased with the final product and feel that you received a fair value, your remodeling experience fell well short of your expectations and ours. Thank you for sharing your experience with us, as we will take the necessary actions to prevent the same mistakes happening again.
They did an excellent job and I would recommend them to anyone looking to get work done on their house.

Exovations completed the demolition of my old deck and construction of a new screened porch. The staff was professional, friendly, and detail-oriented. With any project, there are always some unexpected road-blocks, but the tell-tale sign of a good contractor is their ability to address the issues. Exovations and our project manager did an excellent job of addressing all concerns in a timely manner and with attention to detail and quality. I would recommend Exovations to anyone considering a renovation.

They did an excellent job. I have used them for my lake house and my other house. I have no complaints at all and Chris Campbell was excellent.

When our 25 yr old deck started to fall off the house, we hired a contractor (a friend of a neighbor) to remove it, install a screen porch in its place and build an adjacent deck. It did not go well, and we hired Exovations to start from where the architect left off. From that moment, it was a fabulous experience. The guys were knowledgable, expertly skilled, kind and courteous. They cleaned up every day, and worked with our new city government on permits and regulations. The end product was EXACTLY how I envisioned it, and we have essentially lived in the screen room ever since. I would HIGHLY recommend the team from Exovations. (Note, at the same time, a plumbing leak required a new shower. That project took almost as long, required lots more attention, and interrupted my workday with questions from subcontractor plumbers, and tilers, and painters. In contrast, having a relationship primarily with only one supervisor from Exovations made the project fun and exciting, instead of tedious and disruptive.)

I paid Exovations good money for a brand new roof but what I got in return was a leaking roof with more problems than my old roof had, with an absolutely horrible warranty that will have you run round to the manufactures of the materials and the sub and undersub contractors they have. Have you ever had your roof replaced, thinking now you will have a peace of mind, your home is safer as the results, but the first time it rains you go to your attic and realize the horrible job the roofing company did. and worse after my contacts they were trying to convince me they did a good job with my roof.so, next time you hear Exovations run because they will run once they got your money.

Mr. Monjezi –
Interesting that the title to your review is “the worst thing that can happen to you”. Let's be realistic and factual. Here are the dates and actions of your requests:
11-20-15 Warranty claim submitted stating roof was leaking at vent pipe and ridge.
11-23-15 Met with customer and could find no evidence of leaks anywhere. Upon inspecting ridge cap shingles, the shingles were not adhering properly but still functioning properly.
12-8-15 Ridge shingles were replaced. No evidence of leaks at vent pipe or ridge vent.
3-21-16 Customer filed complaint with BBB – stating roofing material is defective - requesting refund for roof.
3-31-16 BBB dismissed complaint.
4-11-16 Customer filed warranty claim with us stating defective shingles.
4-12-16 We instructed customer to file claim with manufacturer for inspection and potential replacement. We cannot file a claim for the homeowner, but we have registered their project with the manufacturer (as we do with all products) so warranty claim is an easy process.
I wanted to give my newly purchased home a facelift from a traditional colonial to more of a craftsman style. I met with Josh, and decided to add black shutters, black gutters with covers, and black downspouts, added new white columns on the porch too. The house is yellow with white trim, the black shutters and gutters look awesome, and really changed the appearance of the house. Great job, getting compliments from neighbors is nice too.

Excellent customer service and craftsmanship. The entire project ran smoothly and as agreed. Jose and his crew were extremely accommodating, courteous, and thorough. Having a knowledgable Project Manager to liaise between the client and the crew makes all aspects of the project work better.

I got my house painted last year at this time and now paint peeling off my metal door that leads to the backyard. A young man came out and said it isn't covered under warranty because he claims that its not his paint that is failing. Poor customer service after the fact. I have recommended this company for the great job they did but if this is how they treat customers after the job is done, I will no longer do so.

Mr. Redd – We are sorry you are experiencing paint peeling on your steel door and we DO NOT like to have unhappy customers. It is disappointing that you are choosing to post your displeasure on multiple review sites versus communicating with us to resolve the problem. Our Project Manager, Sam, determined that the cause of the paint peeling is due to the factory applied primer (by the door manufacturer) coat losing adhesion. Once this primer coat loses adhesion, the all layers of paint on top of the primer coat come off with it exposing the bare metal. Unfortunately, this happens over time and not all at once or we could have removed it all. It is evident that at the time we painted your home, the door was scraped and sanded to remove all the loose primer/paint. However, the adhesion loss of the primer coat is continuing to other parts of the door. Our Construction Manager met with you to confirm the cause of the issue and offered solutions to resolve the problem. We hope we can work with you to get this resolved.
