Stoeckig Landscape Group, formerly known as Applewood Landscape and Design, is a family owned company that produces big results. We have many years of experience in the industry and are eager to put our expertise to work for you. We understand that the outside of your home is just as important as the inside; therefore we design outdoor living spaces to suit your individual needs. We use plants that are raised by some of the best growers in the country. In addition to plants and irrigation.. systems, we install unique ponds and water features, patio pavers, walkways, and walls to pull the whole design together.
In 2003, a father and son duo set out to develop a landscape design and installation business. Because both Curt and Rick are Atlanta natives, they decided to put their landscape and hardscape design skills to work in and around the Atlanta area.
After a combined 30 years of experience in the Green Industry, Curt and Rick wanted to found a company for landscaping in Alpharetta and North Metro Atlanta that would allow them to be personally involved in every project. Many of the competitors in the landscaping industry take on too many clients at a time. Although this may be profitable for these companies, it comes at a high expense to the client by not receiving the attention they deserve. One of the ways we honor this commitment is by scheduling an appointment time each time we meet regarding your project. We understand that your time is important and we make every effort to be on time every time. Curt and Rick also provide that personal attention by promising to be available throughout your project. Even long after your project is over, we are available to assist you with any questions you may have. Because of our passion for what we do, we always enjoy following up with our clients and are eager to help! In many cases, even after homeowners have moved, our name has been passed to the new owner and we have continued working with them. We also have many long term clients in which we have worked for them to develop landscaping in more than one residence.
Contact us today so that we can put our experience and expertise to work for you!

They did a fabulous job removing my wooden retaining wall that was falling over. They replaced my wall with a beautiful stone wall. The crew worked hard, they were on time and I was very impressed with their skills. My new wall is perfect. I would recommend them to any of my friends.

Great hardworking team. Curt is a very professional and high-end landscaper. Great listener and had perfect solutions for redirecting rainwater away from the low-level ground around our home. He kept me informed every day of his plans for that day and the next, which was very considerate of my schedule. The end results are gorgeous and better than I could have ever expected. Great job!

It is refreshing to deal with a top notch dependable landscaping firm. Curt understood what I wanted and helped layout a plan we could do in stages as my budget allowed. For the work I needed that was outside his scope of business, Curt was more than happy to give me contact information for those who specialized in those areas. Phase one is complete and I am thrilled with the work performed, timely communication, and attention to detail from the crew who completed the job. Thank you Stoeckig Landscape Group!
Drainage issue resolved, planted new shrubs, and general site cleanup as phase one.

From the time we 1st inquired to the end result - we are 100% satisfied. Curt was very responsive on our initial call. He came out very promptly on our appoint time. He offered his professional advice and gave us several scenarios based on our budget. His crew was very friendly, came on time and left the job site very clean each day. The crew was very professional and worked the entire time they were here. Curt was very responsive to all communications - email/phone call.

They came out, gave step by step the process, material to be used, size of trees to be planted, area to be sodded. Came out when they said, finished job as the said, and when finished the area was cleaned up as if no one was there that day. Curt the supervisor, explained to his people what he wanted done, and they did it. The people on the job were very conscientious, and worked continuous. Recommend them to anyone.
Stoeckig came out, grounded up stumps (deep enough as to be able to replace the trees near the ground-up stumps). Brought in plenty of top soil to replace what was taken out. Planted two nice sized dogwoods, fertilized, and sodded all the area that was disturbed. After sodding they rolled the sod to get as smooth as possible. The last thing that was done is Curt the supervisor explained to me carefully how take care of what was done such as how much to water and when to mow sod.

I called Stoeckig Landscape Group because of the excellent reviews. Kirk did call me back, but, when I talked with him and tried to set up a time to meet at my house, the only times he gave me to meet were strictly 8:30 - 5:00 pm. Monday through Friday. Kirk stated his company has hours very similar to doctor's hours. I asked him if someone would be able to meet me earlier such as 7:30 - 8:00 am, and, Kirk said "no, they would be stuck in traffic, and, again their hours resemble doctor's hours for appointments." I explained to Kirk I work full-time, Monday through Friday in Midtown, and, my hesitation with meeting 8:30 - 5:00 was because in the past month I had to take off work early due to going to several doctor's appointments. I know landscaping is a very difficult and labor intensive business, but, I have a real tough time wrapping my mind around Kirk's appointment hours' comparison to a doctor's office. As a matter of fact just about all of my doctors have appointments available 7:45 - 5:00. And, if I'm correct all of my doctors have 8 - 10 years of higher education, which accounts for their "office" hours. I have never had any contractors that have done work for me compare their available hours to doctor's hours. I have made an appointment with another landscape group that was willing to work with me and meet with me at 6:30 on a weeknight.

Hi there. As I explained to you on the phone and as you've mentioned in your review, our office/meeting hours are set Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00. The early morning hours are set aside for our team to meet before the day begins and make sure everyone has what they need for the day to go smoothly. Our meetings are scheduled 1.5 hours apart throughout the day with our last meeting occurring at 5:00. Family is very important to us and as such, we like to get our employees home in time to spend the evenings with their families. Even with a 5:00 meeting time, depending on the location, our employees often don't get home until after 7:00. When I mentioned to you that our hours are similar to a doctor's office, I was merely trying to explain to you that we keep standard hours. I was in no way trying to compare our business to a doctor's office or any other profession, for that matter. However, it appears that you are misinformed regarding the amount of extensive education and training a landscape professional has. In your research to find a landscape professional to meet your needs, you might want to look into this further to ensure you are hiring someone who has the necessary education and training before you put yourself at risk. I am sorry I didn't have the chance to meet you. I think you would have been pleased with the quality of our work. In 13 years of business, we've never had a complaint regarding our hours. In fact, we've found that our clients appreciate the fact that we care for our employees and families as much as we care for our customers. Sincerely ~ Curt Stoeckig
The nice gentleman came out to help us with some erosion control. He said that it was a large issue like the DOT handles. Even though his company doesn't work on projects this large he spent a lot of time suggesting solutions and mentioned everyone we should contact. When we mentioned we would like some more work done in our backyard he said it would be best to get the erosion issue under control first. Over all very high integrity and very honest. Would recommend!

I initially called Curt in November when I was contemplating having some work done in my front yard. I called 4 companies. The first one I called failed to show, the second company showed up late, and the last two (Stoeckig Landscape included) showed up on time. But what ultimately made my decision to use Curt was his honesty and patience. He was willing to talk with me through several ideas, and was very patient to wait until I was finally ready to start, which wasn't until mid-Feb. He wasn't pushy, even offering suggestions to save me money. No doubt, when I am ready to do the backyard, I will call him again. I've also had a couple of neighbors ask for his number

I was beyond pleased with the work that Stoeckig Landscape Group did for us. They were extremely professional and thoughtful. They took the time to listen to what I wanted and make recommendations for what would work best. Furthermore, they always kept me informed as to the progress they were making and what the next steps were. They showed up on time everyday, and it was always the same group of workers along with Curt and his father. I would definitely use them again, and I would highly recommend them.

Curt and his team came out to my house (On Time), and took up the old sod, laid new sod all the same day. That was 3 months ago, it still looks good. Curt is a guy you can trust and will do good work! I could not be happier!

Out of 8 landscape companies this is the only one that has given us our quote. And on the date we were told we'd have it. He returned our call, arrived on time and was helpful. Thanks you!

Curt Stoecking, Did a large job for us about six or seven years ago, landscaping, tree removal, sprinkler system, built stairs into our back yard and transformed our yard. Since then his company has replenished the mulch, recommended a tree company for maintenance who did a great job. Any time we need anything to do with the outside we think of Curt Stoeckig, if he can't do the job he will recommend someone who can and do a good job. It's a family business and a pleasure to do business with.
