Absolute nightmare. These guys lied about obtaining proper engineer inspections, failed to show up to work repeatedly, failed to get proper permits. Avoid them at all costs, there are too many good deck builders in Atlanta to waste your time with these clowns.

We did not provide work for this customer. We have tried repeatedly to contact this individual so that the correction could be made but to no avail. We ask that this posting be disregarded. JD
As part of terms to complete purchase of my new home, the buyer employed JustDecks to replace the deck. See photos of their work. I contacted them on several occasions only to be ignored. "0" response to emails / phone calls. My deck is unsafe, they cut corners and used short picketts and uprights. Only used one lag bolt on uprights. Really? I wonder if they will respond to the summons they are served with when someone fall through my railing. Only a matter of time. All of the safety association claims on their website ARE BUNK. Give them a miss folks. They may be the low bidder, look at their work.

Just Decks did what we consider a minor repair on this customers handrails. The design of the handrails is what the customer requested. This is not our usual design. We built them the way the customer wanted. We had several conversations with the customer to explain that the handrails, even though designed a little different from our standard, were absolutely safe. A 1/2 inch bolt in the bottom of the handrail post is absolutely sufficient and will support the 200lbs of horizontal force that is required. We explained that two 1/2" bolts in the bottom of the post could weaken the post. Thank you for understanding.
Recently I had some appointments with different deck companies. The biggest issue for me was the safety of my deck. We love to entertain and I have 3 small kids. Just Decks blew me away with their extensive knowledge of decks. The deck was built just like how they said it would be built. And they pulled a permit. The deck is strong and safe, and the design is wonderful. Thanks Just Decks for my piece of mind. Money well spent.

Let me start off by saying I know I can be difficult sometimes, but I like what I like. Their name should be Just Decks and more. The professionalism, customer service, and all around service was impeccable. They took away my old deck and I just wanted a simple deck to replace it. With that in mind Kirk provided me with my option and 2 others to choose from. The other 2 designs enlightened me on things I didn't even consider. The best part was, the deck design way better than I was asking for and the price was in budget. Just Decks did what a lot of contractor were not willing to do. They got the permit, passed all inspections and they gave me a lifetime structural warranty. Not only did I get a beautiful safe deck, I have a warranty also. On top of that, Just Decks replaced my gutters on my home. The gutters have a lifetime guarantee! I would highly recommend and use Just Decks again. Kirk was a blessing.

I contracted Just Decks to build a custom elevated deck with stairs. They were willing to work with my special requests and with my own plans. The workers on my project were very personable and was probably just as perfectionist as I am. If i could show photos, I would. Good job. I might even ahve them quote other future projects.

I recently contacted Just Decks for an estimate on a deck repair/rebuild. They didn't even have the professional courtesy to return the call. I guess they just don't need the business or undersatnd the power of word of mouth reviews.

We would like to have worked with this customer. Returning calls to perspective customers in an integral part of what we do and how we stay in business. It is upsetting to us, if for any reason we do not respond to a call. There is a lot of effort and cost put into our marketing, which generates interest. We would never knowingly not return a call. We ask that you call us back and we will make you a discounted offer. Thanks.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!I have been waiting 2 years for Just Decks to repair the sloppy job they did on my deck construction. Now they refuse to respond to my phone calls and emails. I paid good money and have been more than patient. No one deserves to be treated like this. Save yourself the frustration and do business somewhere else.

We are always regretful for any confusion whenever working with one of our customers. We do guarantee our construction and workmanship. However, like all companies, our warranties are limited in scope and coverage. For example we can not guarantee against warping or cracking of pressure treated wood. Unfortunately no one does, our the manufacturers. However we often go beyond what our agreement and warranty specifies in our mission to satisfy our customers.
Today marks the 3rd time Just Decks has no-showed for a promised estimate for a deck. They did call the 1st time they didn't make it but the 2nd and 3rd time they didn't even bother to contact me. I've left work early for the 3rd time now only to have them not follow through on their end. This is VERY frustrating and I can't imagine them staying in business much longer if they treat everyone like this.

Our company always regrets it when variables outside of our control, prevents us from meeting with our customers. Cold and rainy weather caused us to have to reschedule all of our appointments over the past few weeks. This is typical this time of year. We then place our customers on a tenative schedule on a first call basis. We am sorry that this sosmetimes happens and is beyond our control, as it was in this case. Often in such cases we will try and give an additional discount for inconvenience, even though uncontrollable conditions are the cause.
I am thoroughly satisfied and pleased with my two-story deck built by Just Decks. I have not had good experiences with the contractors or builder. At the time I decided to build my deck, which was a year ago, I was very skeptical about having another contractor on my property. After meeting with Mr. O.C. Kirk several times, it took me a year to finally decide to give Just Decks a try. Throughout the process, Mr. Kirk assured me that his company only builds quality decks and uses above grade material of the finest woods. Well, you can bet that I was watching everything from lumber delivery, foundation being poured, building of the deck, and inspections performed by the county. THE OUTCOME: The two deck(s) are outstanding and far exceeded my expectations. I am truly impressed not only with the outcome but the whole delivery system of the deck from pouring the foundation to putting the finishing touches on the guard rails. The staff, Flash and company, was very professional at all times and finished the work in no time. Mr. Kirk, is truly a last dying breed of trustworthy professionals. He reassured me at all times and handled whatever questions I had regardless of the time of day. After dealing with a lot of con artists, it was a pleasure working with someone of intergrity and honesty. I would highly recommend this company. Thanks Just Decks for the peace of mind.

I talked to over 20 contractors before building agreeing to go with Just Decks. I was very concerned about hiring someone because of the "sketchy" contractors out there. After meeting with Just Decks, I felt comfortable about the knowledge and trust of Just Decks. I also asked about the negative reviews on Kudzu which may have been posted unfairly. So, I waited to see for myself. The result: we got a great deck at a great price. The craftmanship was top notch. They responded promptly and without confrontation to any concerns or changes we had. No hassling or fuss. We couldn't be happier with the end result. This is a very trustworthy and respectable company.

We contracted with Just Decks in June. The initial crew quit working after 2 days. The 2nd crew came about a week later to finish. The workmanship was poor-the posts were not cemented into the ground, two of the support posts were not connected to the deck, deck planks were inconsistently spaced, handrails were crooked, and spindles which were severely bowed. The 3rd crew came out and repaired only the left side of the planks-making the deck look worse. The 4th visit in late August-they finally tore down the deck to the frame and started over and did a good job in doing so. We had an inspection done to verify that the deck was sound-just in case! HOWEVER-as we were making final payment to Just Decks, we received notification of a $1900 mechanics lien on our home from Williams Bros. Turns out Just Decks had not paid for our materials from back in JUNE! Apparently 12 other homeowners suffered the same fate and now have mechanics liens as well. Just Decks wanted us to send the remaining balance to them directly, but after learning that they had not paid their Williams Bros. invoice since May 2006 and owed $14K we opted to pay the $1900 to Williams Bros. to have the lien removed from our home. According to the Just Decks' owner, they are having a dispute over credits owed to them for customer issues; however, they could not explain why the 50% deposit we paid them in June had not been forward to Williams Bros. to pay for the materials on our project. Would not recommend :(

I live in a $300,000+ home in a golf course community. I hired Just Decks to build a deck over my existing patio. They were supposed to start on Friday morning. However, the materials did not arrive until around 2:15 Friday afternoon. The team scheduled to build my deck arrived at 4:00. Shortly after they arrived, they said the materials needed to get started were not delivered in the 2:15 drop off so they would have to start on Saturday. While speaking with one of the owners, he yelled at me and interrupted me when I tried to address their poor customer service. Although I remained calm and did not yell back at him, he continued to communicate to me in this manner. On Monday afternoon, the build team said they couldn't complete it as scheduled because enough materials were not ordered. Not one time did the owner apologize for yelling at me, for the late start or for not being able to finish on Monday as scheduled. When I tried to address some of the customer service issues with this company, they were full of excuses, instead of accepting responsibility. More over, they were not open to hearing my concerns and simply reacted in a very distasteful manner. I was very disappointed in the lack of decorum and unprofessionalism displayed. I would have much rather paid more and received excellent customer service and professionalism, then to have dealt with this company. I would not recommend them to anyone!!!!!!!!!

Our company takes pride in the fact that we deliver excellent quality and customer service. Sometimes there may be some delay in a project, which is inherent in all industries for one reason or another. In this particular case the delivery of materials was late only a few hours, when this customer became overly concerned. We explained that a few hours delay or even a one day delay would not impact our projected time for completion(3 days), as this was a very small deck (14X17)ground level. Our company builds 200-300 custom decks per year. We use one of the largest suppliers in the state and occassionally, because of logistics, deliveries may run a little off schedule. This we understand as we explained to our customer. We regret that our customer failed to mention the professionally built, high quality deck that was constructed. and the fact that it was built on schedule. Also this customer failed to mention our very competitive pricing. Which is also, one of the reasons that she chose us. We have grown our business and reputation on this fact. We will prove it to all of our potential customers.
Just Decks are more than enough. I am a certified carpenter and a very picky person. I had a Large Deck, Screen Enclosure, Fence work and some painting done. All the work was done to code. I have never been more satisfied with a contract. The worker were highly trained and knowledgeable. Highly recommended. Totally Satisfied.

The deck that was built by Just Decks looks great. However, after it was completed, the railing was lose and spindles were crooked. Once they had received payment, we could not get them to come back out to complete the job even though we called over and over again. We were worried that it was not supported well but could not get them to come back out. As a result we had to have someone else add more supports. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Unfortunately this particular customer critiqued our work through every phase of the process. Judgement was always passed before work could be completed. We guarantee all of our work. Our customers never pay until they are satisfied. This customer paid us for building her fence and deck (satisfied). She then hired us to paint the exterior of her house. However, she continued her very critical approach, trying to coach us but not understanding exactly how professionals work. She stopped us while still prepping/repairing her house for painting. She was ordered through aritration to pay us for the prep work that was done. We feel bad that this customer would not allow us to do the quality job that we always provide to our customers.
