There are 46 Million under-insulated homes in the US - is yours one of them?
If your home as little as 5 to 10 years old, you likely have one of the 46 million under-insulated homes in the US.
Adding more insulation is easy. Plus, insulation is one of the lowest cost options for improving the energy efficiency of your home. It pays off fast and keeps paying off with better comfort and energy savings for as long as you own your home.

ENERGY STAR PROGRAM!
I had three companies providing estimates for attic insulation. Phil was the only one really addressing all needs without going broke. They sealed all floor openings in the attic (around the lights,... cooling vents etc.), installed knee wall insulation and then blew in insulation to get an R-49 rating. Plus he added foam insulation on all outside wall outlets and light switches. GREAT job, on time, good crew, fair price - highly recommended!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
I contacted three companies to price blown in insulation for my under insulated attic. My HVAC company wanted over a thousand more, but the other price was very similar to Home Energy. Ultimately,... I chose this company because Phil offered a better value with wrapping my hot water heater, insulating the pull down stairs and covering our whole house fan. The crew was friendly and made sure to protect the floor while working. Then they swept before leaving. Overall good experience and my house is feeling cooler just in time for summer!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

KMoulder THANK YOU for the review. I love to hear when people shop around and pick us I must admit . ( he he ) since 2004 I do believe our price and job we do is 2ed to none. Thank YOU again . PHIL
I have contacted the owner Phil several times regarding getting my invoice and the information needed to get the GA Power rebates for attic insulation. When I spoke to him he said he would send it immediately and asked for my email, which I provided. However he never sent the paperwork needed. It's like I fighting a losing battle. I'm sure they must be busy however its important to provide good customer service for any business..... I'm sure there are other reliable home energy companies in the area who will not give you the round around and provide what they have promised. Will update if issue is resolved. Thank you.

1. The sales rep told me he would submit paperwork to GA Power to get me a $300 rebate. He said I did not have to do anything to get the rebate. It looks like the paperwork slipped through the cracks - sales rep said he will mail me the necessary documents to get the rebate. 8/28/13 UPDATE: About a month ago I was provided the necessary paperwork; I completed it and submitted it to GA Power, and the rebate from Georgia Power arrived yesterday. 2. I was told the blown-in attic insulation would cover the whole attic, including the plywood floor. That didn't happen - the plywood floor was not covered and neither was the whole house fan. I bought $88 worth of pink insulation rolls, a mask and goggles, and put that insulation down myself, but I paid for about 200 square feet of insulation that I didn't get. 3. I was told I would receive three coupons/certificates for follow-up inspections. So far,I have not received these. 8/28/13 UPDATE: I did receive the coupons/certificates for follow-up inspections. (My first follow-up inspection won't be for about 9 months, so I don't know yet whether the follow-up inspections are provided or are useful).

GambyBuster we strive to be rock stars. :) I always tell customers when you figure out your budget that's when the fun starts. Phil
Eric came to an older home that I rent to look at the crawlspace problem which involved removing old soiled insulation bats and replacing with new. This was a dirty and tight job to do. What I liked most was that there was no whining about how hard the job might be, etc. He came on time and looked at the job, called me with a price the same day, and the job was performed the next day. That's about all you can ask. I would use them again.

LD1949 Thank you for your review. Eric is one heck of a guy we have been friends well over 20 years. Older homes that have crawlspaces are dirt and tough place that animals love to set up shop. It is important that those spaces be insulated in the winter. Thank you again and if you need anything we are always here to help. Have a great Saint Patrick’s day. Phil
We decided to increase the insulation in our attic and after meeting with 4 companies, we chose to work with Phil Wheeler from Home Energy. He impressed us on many levels and couldn't be more pleased with the installation and professionalism of this organization. Phil instilled a sense of confidence right away and it proved to be correct all the way through to completion. I must say that I had concerns about how messy it might be to install the insulation but they might have come and gone and we'd never know it if not for seeing with our own eyes. The men were very clean, neat, and well spoken. We are surprisingly pleased with the energy bills coming in now for December and January that show a decided improvement, not to mention how much more confortable our home is now. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company!

Charliff Let me say how much a thoroughly enjoyed your recommendation. We have always tried to hire the best people possible. "The men were very clean, neat, and well spoken", sometimes I take for granted the appearance and the way our guys carry themselves, thank you for pointing out such positive attributes. We look forward to seeing you again on your 1 year anniversary for your free inspection to determine that everything is working as it should.
After getting quotes for installing attic insulation, two of my neighbors and I selected Home Energy to do the job based on several factors. Although their quote was not the absolute lowest, it was within $50 of the lowest and included additional services (like sealing leaks and resealing ductwork) that were not offered or mentioned by other companies. The work done was what the salesman had described; the work crew arrived on time and completed the work on all three homes in expeditious fashion. The owner (who came by to finish one of the services offered) completed the paperwork necessary for filing for a Georgia Power rebate and got that and the certification needed for a federal tax credit to me within a couple of days. Overall I am well pleased with this company's work.

After getting a free energy audit from Sawnee Electric I found our home needed more attic insulation. We called Home Energy and liked what how they explained exactly what they would do. They did an excellent job and cleaned up after they finished work. Can't get better than that!

SnowflakenintheSouth Thank you! Your nice words are soooooo appreciated. We feel our customers are great. Thank you for posting your comments! See you on your one year free inspection. Phil
We gutted our house and needed to have insulation installed. After shopping around we chose "Home Energy Inc" because of their professionalism and fair pricing. Also, as an added bonus the owner comes out to see the job personally before the crew starts the job. He is very likeable and seems trustworthy. Its been a year now and he has recently sent us some free "inspection coupons" good for use after the first year, 5th year and 10th year. He comes to see if it has settle below the measuring stick that is installed in the insulation and if it has they will add more insulation at no charge. In today's times I really appreciate doing business with such a quality company. As the reviewer b4 me said, he called "Woodman Insulation" as we did. We found them less professional and more expensive than Home Energy Insulation.

lavet5 Wow. This is one of the nicest letters we have received. Your kind words is what keeps us motivated and puts an exclamation point on what we are doing. We strive for professionalism and real world pricing. The you for the referral. Phil
I called for a quote and Eric came on time and explained everything in detail. I also got a quote from Woodman and they're salesrep was not nearly as professional and informative as Eric. Eric took pictures of the attic and then made some recommendations and even gave me information and pricing if I was going to complete the job myself. After my wife and I decided to go with Home Energy Insulation, the crew was able to come out the next day (on the weekend) and complete the job. Everything was done to my sanctification. Great overall process. I would recommend them.

We chose Home Energy based on reviews from Kudzu. Phil came out and gave us a quote to have insulation blown in attic. We were impressed, no pressure, very knowledgable, and a fair quote. His guys showed up on time, very nice, got to work right away. We can already feel a difference in the comfort level. Best money spent, wish we had done this years ago. Would recommend to anyone.

You would not believe how often customers say "I wish we had done this years ago". What many folks don't realize is over 90% of homes in the Atlanta area have cellulose attic insulation. When the cellulose is first installed it is fluffy and an effective insulation. The problem is as it ages cellulose compacts and loses it insulating properties. Our products do not compact over time keeping your house comfortable and energy efficient. Thank you for the opportunity to work with you. Phil
lucylake Thank you for your business. It was a joy working for you. We look forward to seeing you upon your free one year anniversary quality assurance inspection. Phil
Home Energy was great. Called out the three insulation companies listed on kudzu. Home Energy gave a price quote on the spot, others needed to go back to office and email quote. I am not sure why. In the meantime while waiting for quotes Home Energy was able to install job. I really appreciate the work.

When I called Phil Wheeler of Home Energy, Inc., I was about to hire Woodman Insulation to blow insulation into my attic from the roof, while my roof was being re-roofed. But a spokeswoman for Woodman (a company on Georgia Power's BPI Home Improvement certified list), told me I needed to contact GA Power myself, to find out what upgrades qualified for GP's Earth Cents rebate program. Then I called Mr. Wheeler of Home Energy and explained that my roofing project was about to begin, and I needed to hire an insulation company to work alongside my roofers. The next day, Phil sent his salesman Eric to my home to look it over, and discuss various insulation and price options. Eric also promised to help me get my GA Power rebate(s). The day the re-roofing project began, Eric and his team arrived at 10:00 a.m., as promised. They got right to work and set up, put baffles in the soffit vents, blew in fiberglass insulation from the roof down, insulated the attic stairs, electrical outlets, and blanketed my water heater; all within 3 hours! Before he took my check, Eric helped me fill out the GP rebate paperwork for a $350 rebate. A day later, I received a thank you letter from Phil, including 3 free 'recheck insulation' coupons I will use to ask HE to return and check my insulation at years 1, 5 and 10. I totally recommend Home Energy, Inc. for professional, efficient service at a great price. I only wish HE had done my re-roofing job - but that's another story.
