Business overview

@homecomputers is an onsite/remote computer services company based in Snellville GA and serving the entire Metro Atlanta area. @homecomputers also provides remote service to any location with an internet connection to customers across the US and world. We specialize in repair, instruction, networking and pretty much everything involved in the daily use of your home or business computer. Our business model grew out of the personal frustration we have experienced with late or missed appointments,.. unfair charges and rude impersonal service from local vendors. We never charge for drive time, phone or email tech support, nor do we charge extra for evenings or weekends. You are encouraged to sit, watch and hopefully learn while your computer is being serviced. Please visit www.athomecomputers.biz for more info on our qualifications and pricing. Remember, "No need to unplug everything & haul your system to a shop! I come to your computer!"

Highly Recommended, 7/13/2015

My computer had been running slow and having trouble with outbound emails. Called John, made an appt for same PM and within an hour I was up and running more efficiently. He advised me to purchase a... new computer soon as mine is dying a slow death. Already knew that, but it was good to hear an expert enforce the thought. I'll be calling John after Windows 10 hits the market and I purchase a new tower. I compare a computer to a car....you just have to find the right mechanic. His prices are accurately posted on his site. Thank You!

Great Business Partner

About two years ago my son moved to Arizona, this was quite a change not only was my only son now thousands of miles away, so was my technical support. I never realized how much he did to help keep the computers running so I could concentrate on running my business. When I ran into some major issues my son went out to Kudzu.com and researched computer repair and found John and suggested I give him a try and boy am I glad I did. John has responded quickly every time I have reached out for help. He comes up with inventive ideas that make like easy and save me money. I will continue to use him and have given his name to anyone who needs a great person to partner with to tackle computer issues.

Effective and experienced computer solutions

My computer was becoming exceedingly slow, had malware, and incapable of making internet connection with Internet Explorer. John at Home Computers had to use a number of various solutions to correct the hardware and software problems. Today, I get the fastest Internet Explorer I have ever had, am malware free, have a second free server online in case the IE goes down again in the future, and many helpful hints of how to make my computer work for me instead of against me. He was timely, helpful, quick on his feet as he had to use alternative methods to correct my computer. He had the solutions on the tip of his fingers. Well worth your investment. He is fast, courteous, and helpful.

Excellent at competence best in graciousness

I required John's expertise to access a 12 year old "pocket drive" no longer supported by Archos, the manufacturer. I fruitlessly searched web for the needed cable. I arrived at John's home office 2 hours late due to horrible traffic conditions. While on the way he encouraged me to arrive safely. Once there he was gracious and most professional. He had the correct cable and allowed me to use his cable to transfer all the contents of the old drive to my laptop. I was able to retrieve precious memories as well as forgotten "novel" ideas while preserving my privacy. I'm most grateful to John From AFR

Connecting multiple routers with one network at home can be useful for a variety of reasons. It is something that is not done often, so many people do not even realize it is possible. However, you can connect multiple routers on one home network—it just requires a different type of wireless networking configuration.

Why Do It?

Connecting multiple routers allows you to upgrade a previously wired network, in turn allowing you to connect wirelessly with multiple devices. It also provides more range to connect wirelessly, should you want to connect from a separate structure (like a pool house) or from the yard. You can even use this trick to... READ MORE »

One of the big things people look for when they leave their home Internet base is Wi-Fi. In fact, many people may choose 1 restaurant over another just because they offer free Wi-Fi to their customers. If you are thinking about setting up a wireless network, either for your home or business, you need to know what hardware is necessary to do so.

What Is a Wireless Network?

A LAN or wireless local area network uses available radio waves to connect your devices such as a smartphone or laptop to the Internet. When you connect a smartphone, laptop, or another device to a Wi-Fi hotspot at a restaurant, hotel, or other public place, you... READ MORE »

We've all been there--you charge your laptop and get it ready for use away from home, or more importantly, for use away from the outlet. You get to work only to realize that the battery is draining far faster than you would like.

Would you like to know what is causing your battery to drain faster than a mug of frosty root beer on a hot summer day? Take a look at these questions and see if you are answering "yes" to any of them and you might find out why your battery is not holding a charge.

Is Your Screen Set to Las Vegas Bright?
