Drexler Shower Door Company, Inc.

I live in a 1960s house with a "hollywood" shower, meaning that the shower and tub are shared between two bathrooms. Both sets of shower doors are leaking through their tracks.

I called Drexler Shower and found that they were unwilling to come out to assess the problem and provide a solution. (And the solution isn't that clear, as we weren't sure if tracks could be replaced but shower doors kept, or if the tub itself was settling.)

The representative wanted to lock us into a promise that they could service our shower doors without putting in a bid, and then tried to say they would fix the problem for $125. (We knew that was unlikely as we'd already gotten bids for close to $2000 from folks who had inspected our shower.)

I ended up sending them (at their request) photographs, but then they asked all kinds of questions about measurements, and it was clear that they wouldn't send anyone out to look at the problem and place a bid.

We were disappointed at the lack of service. This is a stop-gap measure we are taking with the expectation that we will gut both bathrooms in the next few years. We know that Drexler Shower is not a company we will work with during that process. We will want to work with a company that will take the time to assess our needs and put in a reasonable and informed bid.

We just remodeled two bathrooms and had Drexler install glass and doors in each. We had an issue with the trim package after one was installed and the Drexler team redid the work without any hesitation. The shower doors are beautiful and fit perfectly. We highly recommend their services.

Crew was very professional and courteous, on time with a call beforehand. The price was affordable, and made very good recommendations to make the shower door look great with a new marble tile shower. They were able to give a rough estimate over the phone with the dimensions I gave, once the crew arrived to take measurements of enclosure the cost was slightly higher (my measurements were off by a couple of inches). On the day of the install the door was installed quickly and looks great.
I am a DIY'er and all of the work that I did was made to look better by the great work that Drexler did. If you are thinking of installing a new shower door, I would suggest getting a quote from Drexler first. They were within my price range. I also contacted several other companies, and although they were not the cheapest of all(a difference of $10), they were the most professional.

We got a quote from them as to how long it would take to install our shower doors. We were told 7 to 10 days. It took them almost a MONTH to install our shower doors. The final invoice ended up being a lot higher, too. We expect projects to take longer and cost more, but what really irritated us was their total disregard for our time during the project, their unprofessionalism and unwillingness to apologize for any inconvenience they caused us. We will never use them again.

They replaced the glass in my shower enclosure with privacy glass, utilizing the existing frame. Others wanted 3x the cost Drexler charged, and claimed the frame couldn't be reused. It's perfect. When the job was over, I asked for a quote on replacing some bathroom window glass with privacy glass. Mr. Drexler told me they thought there were less expensive options for me and referred me to a competitor (even though they could have done the job). These guys are fantastic.
