Fun museum with great events, 8/10/2008

The Atlanta History Center has wonderful exhibits. Our favorite is the Centennial Olympic Games Museum. They have wonderful special events like Sheep Shearing, Colonial Days, Homeschooling Days,... and Magic Mondays for toddlers.

Interesting and Fun

The exhibits change periodically, but there is a super permanent exhibit on the Civil War. The exhibits may be relevant to history (ex. integration in the schools), lovely to view (southern artists, appropriate for school groups. In a morning, you could spend time in 3 different but interesting exhibits.

Beautiful

The Grand Ballroom at the Atlanta History Center is a lovely space for a wedding reception. The hardwood floors and floor to ceiling windows add elegance to an already beautiful space.
