I bought a vehicle from Jim Ellis back in October 2013 and felt like I got a great deal and great service. I returned last night expecting the saleman I had an appointment with to help us make a... trade into another vehicle. No such luck...we got to the dealership on time but were handed off to another salemans while our original salesman (who we had appointment with) left to deliver a car. Long story short, we found a vehicle we liked and were passed off again (3rd saleman in one visit) to a salesman introduced as a "certified professional" who had no idea of what we had discussed up to that point who offered us two thirds the actual value of our trade toward the full price of a new vehicle. All the while, a gaggle of salemen sat around the counter in showroom yucking it up and carrying on like a bunch of middle school kids. Seriously? What happened to the dealership I visited less than 8 months ago? It's doubtful Mr Ellis will read this post, so will copy in a letter to the dealership owner. I had a simple warranty repair that could not be fixed by this dealership. The service clerk was very rude and unhelpful. I ended up taking my car to another dealership to get the situation resolved.
Over the weekend I traded in my Hyundai Sonata for the Genesis V8. I can't tell you how great my experience was!! My salesman, Brian Bolton, was not pushy, had a great attitude, was very knowledgeable, and made the whole experience FUN from start to finish. The icing on the cake was dealing with Hau B in the finance department. What a fun character he was! Genuine people selling amazing cars. You can't beat it! This is the most fun car I've ever driven and the best car buying experience I've ever had. Keep up the great work!
Overall we were really happy with the results and the turnout of our buying experience at this dealership. We will use for future service and also for future purchases.
Probably the single greatest service visit we've ever had. Was worried my wife, who took the car in, would fall victim to an overpriced oil change but no. Fantastic Value, received a quick recall performed, was loaned a CX-9 (which we're considering purchasing soon), and had everything done on time. The staff were fantastic from start to finish. It seems everyone went above and beyond, definitely beyond my expectations. I have been adamant about referring my friends to Jim Ellis Mazda of Atlanta all week and will continue to do so, and will not consider taking any of my vehicles anywhere else. 10/10. I went to this dealership to look for a vehicle. I did not find what I wanted however I want to write a review because this company was really helpful and friendly. I would recommend my friends to come here.
Over the last 40 years, I have come to dread shopping for a new car. Just because my initials are B.S. doesn't mean I like to put up with it. Our salesman, Mike Fresquez, is a polished professional. He answered our questions, helped us make an informed decision and get a good deal without all the usual insincere flattery and high pressure tactics that we have experienced at some other dealerships. The sales manager and finance manager were also very friendly and helpful. We ended up with a great deal and a higher than expected credit for our trade in vehicle. It was my first visit to Jim Ellis Mazda, but it will not be my last. I love my new Mazda! I trust our service experience will be just as pleasant, but will provide future updates.
I emailed and requested a drive off the lot price from 8 different Georgia Hyundai dealers for a new 2013 Sonata. Darryl Baxter from Jim Ellis was the only one that gave me that price right out of the gate. The drive off the lot price quoted was the exact amount I paid, down to the cent. The interest rate was exactly as quoted. I couldn't have hoped for a better transaction or experience. I'm sold for life and not just because the car came with a free lifetime warranty but because I was treated with respect and met with uncommon integrity. Darryl Baxter is the real deal, straight up. I will recommend Jim Ellis to all my friends and before you make your decision you owe it to yourself to at least give them an opportunity to earn your business, they definitely earned mine.
Beware if you have a sunroof installed aftermarket. My salesman assured me the sunroof the dealership would install as condition of sale of 2012 Sonata was top quality and they would stand behind the work. BUT in less than 3 months a loud rattle developed in the roof - the sunroof installer had REMOVED ALL THE PADDING AND INSULATION from the rear of the cabin, leaving nothing between the metal exterior and interior cabin but fabric, which is loose at that. The service department told me "they have no control over an outside vendor". I am now in a loaner car and will post back after the second attempt at a repair is completed. I have nothing bad to say about the people at the dealership - the staff is helpfull and my sales experience was good - they arranged a loaner car for me to use. BUT BEWARE IF YOU HAVE A SUNROOF INSTALLED AFTERMARKET. follow up: I'm now driving a 2013 Hyundai - the dealership put me in a new car - with the sunroof package - and I just needed to pay for the upgrade. I'm so impressed with the integrity of this dealership. They couldn't fix the after market sunroof - so still be aware of that. But they made it right!
I visited two Jim Ellis dealerships and unfortunately made a very poor decision of purchasing. If you wish to be valued as a consumer, appreciated as a individual and commitments followed up as promised, please DO NOT do as I have and select a reputable dealership other than the Jim Ellis "
I've had my eye on the GMC Terrain since they came out. GM has had ZERO incentives on this car, so I've waited. And waited. My Salesman Jim Banks called me last month...$3000 off Terrains!! Finally!! He stayed in touch with me, and when he knew the deal was right for me...he called. Top notch from top to bottom. Go there. Buy something. Ypu'll be glad you did!
Just bought a car here this week. I went with the Sonata. The sales guy who helped us (Milton) was awesome. We never felt any pressure from him to do anything. He made the experience great. I can't stand it when I visit a dealership and feel pressured to make certain decisions or to buy more than I want. Milton made us feel welcome right from the start. The financing guy, Hau-B, was also great. He had all our paperwork in order and we were in/out of his office in 10 minutes. All told, we were there about 4.5 hours. Long time, but that did include a test drive and a lunch-break. :-P Based on this experience, I would buy from this dealership again.

Little to no attn from salespeople, had to ask for there business card, etc etc etc. They acted like they didn't care if they got my business so I went elsewhere.
