Daddy knows best(even over phone) or OMG-Not There, 10/05/2011

Ran over manhole with a borrowed mower. Called my Dad in Charleston, he said needs new blade. Took it here, N. Georgia Mower Repair & Small Engine 350 Buford Highway Sugar Hill, GA 30518 (770)... 614-4474 (found by google)-oops it was lunch time. I felt really bad for disrupting them....I ended up telling what I did to mower. They glanced, said bent something will never work again, leave it-we will dispose of it. Couldn't do it (not mine) so off I drove, called Dad. By the time he retold me buy blade I was passing a shop in Duluth-went in to purchase blade. They installed, rest-history. Runs and cuts like a star. (Thank you Mr Corley, what luck I rolled in) The place in Sugar Hill-Not First, second, third or any choice..dont go there. Something not right.

Inexperienced with reel mowers, 8/19/2010

I found these guys on Kudzu and liked the location and reviews. I paid an average price to backlap a Trucut reel mower. Afterwards, the reel would not turn because the blades were too tight, so I... returned to the shop and they adjusted it, but then it cut unevenly (loose on one side). I finally adjusted it myself, but that's when I noticed they had mangled the holes in the aluminum adjustment plate. It looks like they hammered it hard with a punch because they didn't loosen the bolts holding the plate. A spanner wrench won't work in those holes anymore. Thatís inexperience followed by disrespect for customerís equipment. I had requested replacement of a missing bolt in the height adjustment mechanism. It needed to be special ordered, but I had a temporary bolt holding it together. They replaced it with another bolt that didn't fit right, and charged me for that privilege. I still need to replace that bolt. While I was waiting in the lobby, they argued with a day laborer about docking his pay for broken equipment. That argument went on for 10 minutes, right in front of me. After the backlap, the blades were sharp but the bed knife was dull. In the final analysis, they charged an average price for below average workmanship, they slightly damaged the equipment, and argued with staff in front of a customer. Thatís too many strikes in one visit. I wonít be going back.

No More Smoke

My mower was smoking badly! North Georgia Mower Repair diagnosed the problem quickly and called first before any repairs were done. I will use them again. Great Job!

Fixed what others wouldn't try

My'96 Byers comercial walk-behind mower needed tune-up and repair but the manufacturer folded years ago. I called all the small engine repair shops in my county to "buy local", but none would even attempt repairs to my machine due to the parts availability. North Georgia said bring it in. Within 2 days I had a nearly new mower back - I never even missed a weekly mowing! I also had them work on a my string trimmer. During the initial tune-up, a couple of items were missed (bad primer bulb & fuel line). When problems arose due to these oversights, North Georgia fixed both items at no additonal cost to me. They stand behind their work! I would recommend them to anyone needing small engine repair/tune up.

Fast and Super Detailed

My blower had been getting sluggish for a while and I took it to these guys expecting them to tell me it was at the end of it's life and instead when I went to pick it up (the next day!) it ran better than it had in three years! I HIGHLY recommend this place if your looking for honest and good work ~ hard to find these days!

Quick and reliable service!

I was looking to get my mower repaired quickly. Most shops were about 3 weeks-Ugg! My grass could not wait that long. My mower was in and out in just a couple of days and runs like a top. the prices are very reasonable also!!! Thanks N. Ga Lawn Mower.

N. Georgia Mower Repair & Small Engine replied on 05-04-2010

Thank you helloanna44! It is true most mower repair shops have anywhere from 3-5 week turn around. However, we stock so many parts we can have most mowers completed in a week. No lawn can go without cutting for over 2 weeks. Then you have a pay a neighborhood kid to butcher your lawn. Forget the hassle!! Make sure to check out our deals to save you even more money by refering a friend.
