After two months, a half dozen service calls (two of which they charged us for in addition to a new piece of equipment to replace the one I just purchased from them, hours and hours on the phone with... them, and endless frustration, we STILL only have internet service half the time! The company has no need to give good service. They have a near monopoly in Phoenix. My suggestion is to try one of the satellite companies. The stores close at 4:00 PM on Saturday. At 4:05 there... were two of us at the Chandler store to return equipment. The manager and employee stood there and looked at us. Terrible customer service!! Try anything else first. Verizon, next door is open until 8:00 PM. Of course, they must remain competitive!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
I honestly dont even know where to start. Each bill is different and it gets HIGHER EVERY MONTH!! And the customer service is bad! They cant explain my bill to me. I hate COX and I wish I never did business with them. Take my advice DO NOT get Cox or you will be stressed out!!!

Sick of having "no signal, blue screen". got a new box and still the same. reboot several times a day. I renegotiated the bill down $15 and ever since, really poor connection. Question if they "dilute" the signal to my home since then? No answers. Is this possible? Internet is fine. No problems. TV is awful. They are losing customers by the hundreds every day.
besides over an hour wait time on the phone - and a rude service personnel once connected i can't imagine this company staying in business much longer. they pushed a new software service that disconnected service for 2 days and it was their fault. they would not prorate our bill and have been giving us the slow speed internet even though we have been paying for the preferred service with the boost. i am calling the AZ att general and the bbb - cox service is the worst.
Where do I start? Three different houses since 2000 and one business account,issues with every one! Bad connections, the WORST customer service in history, and all at $25+ a month more for high speed than my relatives pay in other states with Comcast and Charter!!! Service calls stink, and forget it if you are billed incorrectly and seek a credit on your account. Since 2000, Cox has billed me incorrectly 17 TIMES. One instance in 2003 took over six months to be credited and that was done by a disgrunted VP! Like all the utilities, they have a monopoly and thus charge what they want and could care less about customer service- If I ever move from AZ., not dealing with Cox will be a significant bonus! You may not have a choice for internet/phone, but I highly recommend DirecTV & Qwest if it is available unless you are looking for an inferior product at an ridiculous price with industry worst customer service!
I had been on the "price for life" internet for some time. Suddenly I began to have slowing, freezing, and loss of connection problems. My wife called to get it fixed and was scammed into "upgrading" to their "value" package, slower than I had before but hey! 7 more dollars a month and no guarantees.
I had to make the switch to Direct TV. Called and tried to scale down the bill and they did nothing to keep my business of 9 years. Returned the box in January and now they are billing me for it and claiming they never received. I'm saving 40.00 per month with Direct TV..last problem to solve is to dispute charge for returned cable box. Trying to solve issues on the phone is impossible.
Cox Cable dropped the ball with me in regards to their online support. I ended up going with Direct TV and could not be happer. Much better picture and the price is the same with more channels. The HD is sooo much nicer that Cox Cable.
When I chose to use Cox it was because I was in an appartment complexe that only allowed Cox service. The tech that came to install my service needed my help in completing his job. I had to leave Phoenix to help the install tech with installing his equipment. I should have been refunded my money for the install costs. Their service is terrible and over priced for what you get. Watch out for the hidden fees that are added after install.
Other than the solicitaion calls that seem impossible to opt out of Cox does a great job for a great price
If I had to choose any company for all my entertainment needs it would be cox the rest rake you over the coals in prices.
Well personally I have tried every phone/cable/internet provider in arizona and I would have to say Cox is by far the better choice. If you have the option in your neighbor hood and aren't stuck in a contract I would deffinatley hook up with this company.
Cox services are the best in the industry for internet. My husband works with computers and only trusts cox. We also have their cable, and it's affordable. Further they offer dvrs at a cheap rate.
Don't EVER mess up when paying your COX bill online. Overall I am VERY please withe the cox service but due to their new online payment policies, if you enter incorrect payment info on accident, you WILL be charged a fee, be required to pay in a cox location and pay in CASH. People make mistakes, and GOOD customers will pay for it.
