Schantz recycles many of the old materials removed from your home. Asphalt (roofing) and metals (gutters) are brought to the scrap yard to be recycled instead of dumped in crowded landfills. Also, our windows are certified green and our main siding product is made from recycled fly ash. In our office, we re-use files, and use scrap paper rather than new sheets when practical. It all adds up!

Good work. Very happy........ Hope to do work again. glad that they worked things out and happy to do business again with company.
They did a great job, thorough, skilled in their wood replacement and careful in their workmanship. I would use them again in a minute!
Schantz Home Improvement provided me the third estimate of five on installing HardiPlank siding, hanging two new windows, and painting on one side of my home. Although this company was not the least expensive, I had a good feeling about the company after meeting Greg so I scheduled a start date following the last estimate. I paid a $500.00 earnest and shortly thereafter received an outline in the mail detailing the work that would be completed. The crew who installed the siding was on time and willing to accommodate my schedule by starting the project on a Saturday. I was impressed with their carpentry skills. They completed the siding in one day. On Monday, the painters were there as scheduled. I was equally impressed with the painters by their level of detail and perfection. From the planning contacts with Panida and the delivery of the products to the excellent craftsmanship skills of the carpenters and painters, I was very satisfied with the results from beginning to end. With that being said, I know I will be calling upon them again once I am ready to complete the front side of my home.
Thanks David, it really was a pleasure working with you on this project.
I recently had a large window replaced in my house, with three smaller windows. Greg Schantz personally came out and gave us the estimate. The price was better than 4 prior estimates we had gotten, and there were NO pressure sale tactics, which I hate. Everything came in on time, the installation went as planned, and the final product is beautiful. Greg came out the day of installation to ask if I had any additional questions, and make sure everyone was on the same page. If I need to replace any more windows in my house, I will definitely call Schantz!
I contracted Schantz Home Improvement to replace the roof on my home. I received a competitive estimate for the work, the crew showed up on time, spoke English and completed the job on time. They did a great job. I recommend Schantz Home Improvement for roof and gutter replacement. You will not be disappointed.
Of all the contractors I have dealt with over the years, Shantz is the only one that always returns calls promptly, always shows up when scheduled and always puts the customer first. I have had two substantial jobs done by Shantz in the past two years and could not be more pleased with the results. In both cases, they were definitely not the least expensive, but the quality of the work is top notch and they are dependable, number one in my book.
my roof was injured by a fallen tree, and it was fixed perfectly within 48 hours of the event. schantz home improvement company is professional, attentive, does excellent work, and has great customer service! highly recommended!!
I purchased new gutters and windows from them. The representatives were very nice and easy to deal with. There were a few hang ups in my chosen windows with availability, but they walked me through the whole process and made it very easy. The whole project was much cheaper than I expected. The only thing that kept it getting five stars was that the gutter installer failed to make the installation date a few times due to personal matters, which is completely fine, but I wasn't always notified in advance. If I had gotten a call before the missed appointments it would have been five stars
Recently I had windows replaced by Mr Schantz's company. I had rainwater leaking into my house and needed the job done quickly. Mr. Shantz told me several times the job would be done in three weeks and four at the outside. It took almost seven weeks for this whole issue to be completed, during almost all of which my leakage problem continued. Needless to say I wish I would have used another company and strongly suggest you do the same. I'm avoiding mentioning several other issues with this company, because I simply do not think you would believe all that happened, let me just say it was a fiasco and it has taken me several weeks to calm down enough to write a review. Bottomline- whatever they tell you unless it is in writing it doesn't mean much to this company. P.S. When they respond count how many other people are to blame for this company's problems.
Mr Crowden. You have twisted the facts. You had everything in writing including the install date. My installer was injured just before your install and you were set back one week. Your problem existed for well over a year. You hired a contractor who bailed out on the job, then expected miracles from Schantz. No one would touch your job since your property has a steep slope and the massive windows were 55 feet from ground level. Your wife threatened to post a lousy review on Kudzu if we didn't discount the job $500 for the 1 week delay. I won't be extorted. There are bad contractors for sure, but there are also bad customers. You will go on our list of one of most miserable I've ever dealt with and unfortunately I ignored my sixth sense that said "pass" on your job. ps: read my responses to other reviews. I always take responsibility.
Based on Greg's response to my "No Call Back" review, I called the office again today and spoke with the same girl who remembered me but wasn't sure what happened. Greg returned my phone call and we have scheduled a time for an estimate. I appreciate the follow-up. The Quality and Value ratings posted are not accurate as I have not dealt with Schantz in these areas as of yet. Unfortunately, Kudzu does not allow you to leave any of these fields blank.
Alayne: It took some research, but we finally determined that when we converted our marketing software last week, your record was not captured. I would like to correct this mishap. Please call us back and I will personally come visit your home and offer the best I can. Greg Schantz.
Schantz Home Improvement put a new roof on my home and new gutters with covers. The entire process was great! Greg was very informative. I feel that I received an excellent product for my money. Each staff member was extremely polite. They did a superb job on cleaning up afterwards, as well. Call Schantz!
Schantz put on a new roof and gutter helmets. Everything was done on time, as promised and with high quality. I was pleased and would gladly use them again or recommend them to a friend.
Replacement windows: Was there to answer any question I had during my decision process. Kept with what they promised. Quality of my windows and the installment of them was the best. I would hire them for any service they can provide.
We had a siding replacement project done, and it was our first large home improvement job. Schantz provided all of the paperwork to us, including references, proof of insurance, and a detailed estimate. They made the experience easy for us - especially since we were new to it. The work was top notch, and they workers were friendly. The front of our house looks great - they paid excellent attention to detail.
We first had a roof leak and they called back immediately came out in a timely fashion and fixed the problem They also did some repair and siding work. While we had one communication issue they adressed it immediately no questions asked. the final product was done well.
pleased. inspired trust, and responded to every question and concern. knew their stuff. a pleasure working with them. i would refer them to any friend.
I feel I have the weirdest occurances with Contractors, I find on Kudzu?! Sorry Kudzu. 1. Dan, came to my house promptly to look at a roof leak I was having after the heavy rains (I did explain on the phone that it was a smaller job). After looking at it he told me his company did not take jobs less than $600. (what about the hard economy we need money spill?). But he did recommend someone else? who turned out great. 2. ok that was fine while there I asked Dan about two larger jobs I would like his company to do on my house, he seemed excited about these and promised to get price quotes back to me as early as the next day. Well it has been 4 weeks now, and no word. I am glad I was not in a rush to have this job done. Sorry Schantz but no business will be done with your company.
12/09 - We certainly apologize, and I will review with Dan. We also do not have a minimum job of $600 and have numerous contracts less than $600. Greg Schantz UPDATE: Dan had scheduled a second appt with this customer for the other items and the customer failed to meet Dan at the home. So, Schantz showed up on time and corrected your problem via referral, received no income, was stood up on appt #2 and then we received a poor review because of it. We admit when we make mistakes, but this time we certainly did not. Lastly, calls to this customer were not returned.
