Dr. Dott is a miracle worker! I had been dealing with my medical issues for over 2 years and saw 8 doctors (2 of which were gynecologists) before finally discovering Dr. Dott. He solved my problems... in one visit. He not only is a genius, but he also has the kindest bedside manner. He is a problem solver and thinks outside the box, which I found is very rare with many doctors. From now on, I will be going to Dr. Dott for my annual visits, as well as for any gynecological problems I may have.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
I found Dr, Dott on this site and now I know why he has such rave reviews. I'm past the childbearing years so I've seen him for potentially serious gynecologist issues. He put me at ease, was... compassionate and very knowledgable and quickly resolved the problems. I couldn't believe how quickly he allowed me to see him and he even answered my email himself. His staff is very friendly and the office is sunny and bright. I'm very pleased to have found him!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
When I was 22 weeks pregnant I was under the care of another OB. I had fevers, severe abdominal pain, lethargy and nausea for months. They could not diagnose my problem. Dr. Dott, within 5 days had my problem diagnosed, in surgery and fixed. My baby and I are happy and healthy, thanks the awesomeness of Dr. Dott. He doesn't just evaluate the baby but looks at the whole patient, a wonderful change from most OB physicians. I highly recommend him! The birth was also wonderful, as it was quiet and calm (just him, my husband and nurse). A welcome change from my other 2 deliveries where there were several people in the room. He is the best!
I went to see Dr. Dott for my annual exam and it was very refreshing to deal with such a kind, intelligent & professional doctor! His office staff was great & courteous and very accomodating to my schedule. The office is very well run and his nurse was very helpful. I would highly recommend him because he really took a sincere interest in my healthcare.
This man should have stayed in LA. Disorganized, lengthy waits and fits with women's healthcare less than a cheap suit. Like going to some free clinic. Certainly not a pleasant experience.
I went to Dr. Dott for my first pregnancy after a friend of mine recommended him. I told Dr. Dott if complications arose I would not like a blood transfusion, but would rather have alternative treatment. He told me that even if I signed a written agreement he would give me a transfusion if he thought neccesary and I would have to sue him! He said that no matter what I as the patient wanted he would do what he thought was best. Obviously I switched to a Doctor who respects a patients rights to make choices about their own bodies.
I believe that hclorenzana came to my office for a free initial consultation about her pregnancy care and she indicated that she was a Jehovah's Witness and would not accept blood products. I told her that I respected her beliefs, but as a physician, I had taken an oath to do everything in my power to heal which includes blood transfusions if there were no other option to save her and her unborn child's life. I explained that my beliefs in my obligation to her and her child were so strong that I would even risk the welfare of my own family (ie. litigation) to save her life if there were no other choice. I asked that we have mutual respect for each others beliefs. She felt uncomfortable entering into a care relationship with me (we had not established that at that time) and chose to find another provider with whom she was more comfortable. ---Andrew B. Dott MD
I have been a patient with Dr. Andrew Dott since 2002 when I first came to Atlanta and the first gynocologist appointment I had ever had, at the young age of 20. He was very to the point (which I love), great bedside manner, great at consultations, gives you options, gives you enough information where you can make a well educated choice and makes you feel like you have known him forever. I am a very private person, especially about things you would discuss with a gynocologist, but he makes you so comfortable that you can talk about ANYTHING. No matter where I happen to move in the USA or overseas I will always fly back here for that 1 year check up or for any prenatal care I may need.
I had my first appointment with Dr. Dott yesterday. He had alot of useful information to offer concerning my particular needs. Dr. Dott was very professional but at the same time he spoke with me on a personal level. I absolutly love the fact that he is the only gyn at this practice. I am a mother of three and unfortunatly I recieved my prenatal care from a large practice with many doctors. It seemed that I was always lost in the shuffle. A doctor that I had never even met delivered my third child! I have been looking for a gyn for a while now, I think it is safe to say that my search is over.
As a first time mom I wanted the very best care that I could possibly have, well Dr. Dott far exceeded that request. He not only delivered my first son, but went on to deliver my second son as well! His staff was very caring, nurturing and professional, and went above and beyond to ensure that I received the best care throughout my pregnancies. Dr. Dott and his staff also spoke Spanish!!!
Dr Dott is willing to think out of the box to support his patients in making the best decisions for their pregnancy and birth. He is very supportive of natural birth and does not push interventions for no reason.
I have been a patient of Dr. Dott snice the 80's and he's a great doctor. I recommend him to all women out there that needs women care....
I have been searching for a specialist for quite some time. I would ask my friends/co-workers about their current physician, yet I still was unable to find someone for my specific need. I even searched the Aetna site, but they were limited in providing me with information that would ensure that the doctor was exactly want I was looking for, until I was introduced to "Kudzu." I found my doctor, and had my first appointment on Tuesday, March 29th and I must say I was totally happy and at ease to have finally found someone who specialized in my current situation. I walked out of the office feeling confident and self-assured that if anything is wrong, this doctor will do everything in his power to provide whatever procedure/care and or medication needed to ensure great health!
