Housworth Roofing was established in 1929 by Gladys Housworth. Later, long-time friend and associate, Jack Patrick, purchased the company, continuing the traditions of honesty , integrity and a commitment to quality materials and labor that Gladys had created. After many years of hard work and contributions, he passed the company to the current President, his grand daughter Laila Patrick. She has made the company more successful than ever, and constantly strives to make Housworth the very.. best!
We offer any type of remodeling services that you need. We look forward to helping you improve your home.
There are many construction companies out there that will only help you solve half or less of your project needs, meaning you need to use more than one company to get what you want done. One company will install a roof system, but won't do the soffit work, or one will install Hardiplank siding but won't paint it.
At Housworth, we are one company with expertise in many areas of construction. We won't leave any project half done.
Our Services include:
Windows & Doors
Roof Coverage Plan

I am in the process of selling my home and following an inspection, it was discovered I had 2 minor tears on the roof. I called Housworth to get this resolved and literally within 48 hours, they came... out and took care of it. The re-inspection or follow up inspection took place about a week later and apparently this inspector still was not happy with the results. I contacts Housworth and without hesitation they came out again the very next morning to satisfy everyone's needs. The quality of service is great. However, the customer service is unmatched. I think this group of guys is definitely a keeper and I plan to use them again in my future home!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
Very professional sales person (Richard). Great work and quick installation. Good Price. I will use them again for my future projects.
I agree with the person who mentioned that the employees of Housworth are writing these lovely reviews. This company is only interested in your money! They are not licensed with the State Board. Not sure who they are licensed with. They are very rude and unprofessional! I am now convinced that these people are liars!! My work was scheduled to be done on a weekend in order to inspect the work and pay them (we are not living at the property).Got a phone call from the company on Saturday April 16th,2011,stating that the "roof was wet and dangerous".I had no problems with that,as I knew it was raining the night before.I told them specifically that "we are not living at the property,so no one will be able to meet with them during the weekdays.Everything was fine. The work was completed on April 20th,2011.The check that I gave them was a casheir's check, dated April 16th,2011.I can copy and paste the date on the casheir's check just to prove that what Housworth is saying is absolutely not true. My husband and I met up with Phil on April 23rd and gave him a check of $8335.We were supposed to be given a completion certificate, however they did not.We were told ,by Phil, that "once the check is cleared you will get your receipt in the mail.I had to fight with them to get a completion certificate and receipt.Got them on May 26th ,2011.
At Housworth we care about all of our customers, unfortunatly this customer refused to pay her bill on time. We had to in a very stern way request payment. She offered every excuse when it came time to pay her bill.Housworth Roofing does have a license. Our license number is #L20062376. Kudzu has filters in place to prevent businesses from writing their own reviews. Additionally we have references readily available for you to call. Please contact us at 770-622-5123.

I was extremely dissatisfied with Housworth. I had water damage and went through my insurance company for payment of repairs, and Housworth was fully aware. Housworth said they dealt with insurance companies all the time and understood the process. Richard Anderson, co-owner/rep, tried to "upsell" unnecessary work on my home knowing that insurance was paying for my repairs". There seemed to be constant mismanagement and miscommunication between ownership, office staff, and on-site workers. This company seemed very disorganized. They were very flagrant and error-flawed on their paperwork, invoices, quotes and inconsistent with the timeliness of documents and scheduling. In fact some of payments were held up because they neglected to complete paperwork which was given to them several times. Even though Housworth knew that they were gauranteed payment via the insurance company,we were continually harassed for money. They threaten to put a lien on my home even though they were receiving payments as soon as the funds were released from the insurance/mortgage companies. If they dealt with insurance companies "all the time" they would understand the processing time for checks. They caused me so much stress that we hired a lawyer to cease and desist. My suggestion to Housworth is to take responsibility as a company and look inward on how to do better, rather than attack a customer for a poor review.
Dear viewers we welcome great reviews as well as the occasional bad review. Our Motto is one company many solutions. We offer financing, interior and exterior remodeling. We work with insurance claims, including water damage and can be reached via email or phone for appointments. email@example.com or 770-622-5123.First let us state, “We strive not only to meet but exceed our customer’s expectations”. Although he would like to be, Richard is not a co-owner of Housworth, and yes Richard is required to upsell items not paid for by the insurance company, if he doesn’t he would have to pay for it and that doesn’t equal dollars and sense.
Mrs. Lori Hamada kept telling Richard over and over to get the insurance company to pay for upgrades, in other wards items that were not afforded by their insurance company. We don’t do this because it is an illegal practice. What our customer is not telling you is that she requested the upgrades and after receiving an emailed invoice both her and Mr. Hamada refused to pay for them.
If mismanagement is a text from our customer saying you did a great job then somebody must be confused. We have on file a copy of the actual text from our customer!
Why say disorganized we had a field manager along with Richard who updated the customer with emails and text. We also have this on file. We don’t think flagrant, but definitely frugal. As we requested draws, our customer asked for revised contracts / invoices to match the price less the amount they previously paid, we call this a stall tactic! Which usually ended up with us getting paid 2 to 7 days pass the draw date it also created a mistake on our final payment request. We had many delays because of Lori Hamada’s illness and personal appointments. We worked around it as best we could.
Paper work & payment delays were the doing of Mrs. Lori Hamada who all along created unnecessary steps; at one point she wanted to fill out the forms for us, and requested that we give her the information to do so. She eventually decided to give us the paper work. The agreement on the signed contract was pay on completion, not wait for her mortgage company to earn interest on money the insurance company already paid out. Mr. Hamada told us he didn’t have the money to pay us and that he had no control over his mortgage company. Mr. Hamada is gainfully employed with UPS and we offered him a finance options but he refused it. We are sorry but we have to pay our installers / managers and when last checked we were not a bank. Again we do offer financing with 1 day approval. Yes we work with and have no problems with the insurance companies, they pay our customer who in turn pay us. We are sorry the Hamada’s had hired a lawyer, they could have saved both stress and money if they took advantage of the financing we offered. Please keep in mind we do care about this customer and will except their apology for this brave misstatement.
Very professional sales person (Richard). Great work and quick installation. Good Price. I will use them again for my future projects.
We hired Housworth to install kitchen cabinets we ordered from a diy company after we decided we were in over our heads. Richard gave us a good quote, and his workers Alex and Ivan did an excellent job. We even had to ask them to come back for an additional two visits due to mistakes at the cabinet company, and they graciously did so. I'm very pleased with their quality and service.
I have used Houseworth multiple times doing painting, roofing, and other construction. They do a fantastic job. Not only do they do great work but they are on time and clean up when they are finished. Luis and Richard are both fair and thorough in giving estimates. I have used them on my last home and present home. Will use them again without hesitation.
Honest, reliable and trustworthy company. Extremely knowledgeable about roofing and Excellent experience right from calling in to schedule an appointment to the inspection. I was impressed with the appointment reminder via email/phone. Representative showed up on time and understood the problem and immediately identified the problem /solution with ceiling leak. Representative was very knowledgeable about roofs and took pictures to show the problems and fixed the issue. Representative answered other issues around the house as well.
The guys did a great job with the work that I requested. They arrived on time as scheduled, completed all of the work in a very timely manner, and showed the results of their work via video camera. I will definitely recommend them to anyone who needs any type of work on their home.
Richard and his team were the best. They were professional and did a great job on our roof and gutter. They did such a great job that we have asked them to fix a job done by a previous contractor. I will definitely recommend them to others.
On time, reasonable prices, EXCELLENT customer service. I recommend for all home projects! Thanks for your help during the holidays!!!
Houseworth has replaced my roof and painted the interior of my house. Pleased with the results. Richard is a good person to work with.
I had some minor roof leaks and had several companies inspect and offer quotes. Shannon at Housworth provided the most thorough inspection and also pointed out some problem areas not related to the roof (some of which he took care of as part of the (free) inspection!). I hired them and their work was excellent. Arrived on time, were efficient and the clean up was spotless. Highly recommended.
I had problems with the roof around the dormer leaking and also causing damage to the siding on the dormer. I had quotes from 4 different contractors to repair this damage and Housworth sent Shannon out to provide an estimate. Of the 4 contractors, Housworth was not the lowest price, in fact they were in the mid range of the people I spoke with for the repairs above. The reason I selected Housworth was that Shannon was the only one of the 4 that actually looked over the entire roof and siding on the house to see if there were other areas that needed repair. Shannon discussed the details of the repair and also mentioned a couple of items that he would take care of as part of the work to repair the dormer that others did not notice. Shannon did a great job and was very knowledgeable about the work that was needed.
Our roof was replaced by another roofing company 2 years ago and it leaks this summer. We are not satisfy with the original company. So we asked Richard for an estimate. Unlike some roofing companies who never return calls, Richard is responsive, professional, and friendly. Their staff worked hard with a high quality work done. We trust them and will certainly ask them for future projects.
Richard Anderson is the Housworth rep who came to my house and provided their estimate for repairing/replacing my roof, gutter, and storm door after a large tree limb damaged them. Richard was friendly, professional, punctual, and very helpful. He did two things that went above and beyond the scope of the work. First, he helped me move a new TV console from my car into the house and set it up. Then, he had the crew replace a section of facie board that had been chewed by squirrels that was not even part of the house where the tree damage occurred. Richard returned phone calls and texts promptly and was always courteous, friendly and helpful. (Dawn, Lawrenceville)
I had my roof replaced by Housworth and could not be happier! We had a great experience from the initial meeting and estimates to the finished roof. I have recommended Housworth to my family and neighbors who have also had excellent experiences. I will definitely be calling on them again when we need any other work done on our house.
