I contracted for 6 guys and two trucks. On my moving day FOUR guys show up with JUST ONE TRUCK. I spent over 13 HOURS moving that day because we had to make two trips to get all my stuff. ... The guys called Jim to report the mistake and he told them to "do their best". At least he responded to them. He never returned any of my calls. Their administrative mistake made a tough day much harder and much, much longer. From my experience it seems that Peachtree Movers are not concerned about their customers or their employees. I am awarding two stars only because the guys on the moving crew were fantastic and worked hard. The movers were great, the company itself is horrible.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
These guys are amazing! They had the large and heavy contents of our condo in their truck within 20 minutes! Door to door with a move from Piedmont to Buckhead was done in 1 1/2 hours and that... included having to haul my stuff from the truck on the street to the new place half a block away! Super nice guys and respectful of our belongings. I would recommend them to anyone.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
They were on time and had an excellent move. Would highly recommend them to anyone and I will use them again.
We recently used Peachtree Movers. By the time they finished packing they had already broken the glider. During unloading we found a big hole on the crib mattress. Then when one guy was reassembling the crib he broke one of the two railing bars that support the mattress. Without the bar, the crib is totally useless. We bought all the pieces when our first son was born and they were in perfect condition for our newborn to use. And Peachtree Movers broke them all. After the move we started the claim process. The person we’ve been dealing with is Jim McKinney Jr., the son of the owner. At first, he wanted to offer a ridiculous small amount of money (the crib itself costs almost $1,000). After we called several times, he agreed to send a furniture repairman to look at the crib. Then he changed his mind and denied to have any repair done. He once again wanted to offer a small pay-off which I rejected. I insisted that the money he offered is not remotely reasonable and please do not send the check. A few days later a check arrived at my house and they cut off all the communications since then. We have made more phone calls and sent follow up emails. We never heard a word from them. Our experience with Peachtree Movers taught us a lesson that I will never ever forget. And I hope you will learn from my experience and make the right choice.
Peachtree Movers has worked dilgentely to try to resolve Mrs. Meng’s complaint. All customers are offered 3 types of valuation. She selected “Depreciated Value” and not Replacement Value. Had she selected replacement value we would have replaced her crib. Unfortunately we did damage her crib. We did not feel comfortable having the crib repaired for safety reasons and sent her a check instead that would cover the cost of a repair. We also recommended a repair company that could repair the bed.
I just wanted to thank you and the movers for our move last week. The guys you sent were great, experienced and quite efficient! We really appreciate the professionalism, and we will definitly recommend your services to everyone we know! Thanks again.
Moving is not simply taking boxes from one place to another. It requires a minimum sense of organization and delicacy with fragile items, plus some expertise disassembling/assemblying large items. All of them were missing by the crew who took care of our move. They left every single room of our new house with the utmost mess. They would treat a box full of glasses same way as box full of books. And the only thing they had to assembly (our bed) fell apart during the night. Terrible!
Peachtree Movers has been in business for over 35 years. The majority of our movers have been with us for 5, 10 & 15 years or longer!! It is very important as a customer to have all your boxes packed and ready before your moving company arrives. If you are not completely ready this can cause your move to slow down which may look like disorganization. No box should be mishandled, however it is still very important to clearly label any box that contains fragile items. The customer is always responsible to do a final walk through at the end of the move to make sure the job has been completed to their satisfaction. We were unaware of this customers dissatisfaction and do apologize. Our men are able to disassemble and reassemble all types of furniture. We apologize that this customers bed fell apart during the night. This is the first that we heard of this and would have gone back out to fix the bed.
The guys who showed up were polite, and pretty good at what they do. The billing, however, is a nightmare. Wrong quotes. Misquotes, Too many excuses. Maybe they just assume that people will pay the extra and go away. If you use them, make sure you have all the details spelled out, initialed, and check the list twice.
Took them 9 hours to move me although they quoted me 5. Then when I started complaining and indicated that I'd challenge the bill they refused to unload the rest of the truck until I paid in advance. They threatened to drive away with my stuff. And btw, they list fake positive reviews on Kudzu...
This customer has us confused with another moving company. We have not had this problem with any of our customers. We would never threaten to drive away with a customers items on our truck, that is illegal. At Peachtree Movers we take pride in our quality service and customer satisfaction, this is how we have been able to service Atlanta for over 35 years with a well known name.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. After being called at 8:30am and told the truck would arrive an hour later, my entire day went down the drain thanks to Peachtree, its staff, and the owner. I offered the drivers directions originally but was told they had them. They then called twice completely lost naming roads I was unfamiliar with. At some point between these two phone calls they had a serious accident with another car (probably because they were lost), so were further delayed sorting out everything with the cops. While they claimed the truck was fine, I received a phone call from the owner at 11:20am (now almost 2 hours after the driver said he would arrive and 90 minutes since the accident) to be told sorry but they aren't coming today, the truck has a leak. The owner could not understand my frustration, and instead of trying to see how he could fix the situation, only offered to come the next day, which was inconvenient for me. Before my side was explained, he called me an A-hole (this is the owner we're talking about here) and decided he wasn't going to come at all. This company will not take care of you. He was more concerned about his "new truck that has been ruined by incompetence" than ruining his customer's day. That's the customer service you can expect from these guys. This company DOES NOT CARE about you or your belongings, so DO NOT USE THEM.
This was an unfortunate circumstance and we could not have handled this any other way. We called at 8:30 am to let the customer know that we were running a half hour late. We schedule all moves at 9:00am, this means we would be arriving around 9:30am. Our truck did get into an accident, we thought the truck was okay, but realized that there was a leak in the fuel tank. We could NOT use this truck for moving, this is very dangerous. We were completely booked on the day of his move so the only thing we could do was offer to come back the next day, Sunday. We understood the inconvenience/frustration of the customer. The customer got belligerent and was demanding a free move to be done on Monday. Peachtree Movers politely suggested he find another company to perform his move. Peachtree Movers always tries to take care of our customers and we work hard to resolve any problem. Unfortunately, situations like this happen when we can't meet the customer's expectation.
We had a friend refer us to Peachtree Movers when we decided to move a few months back. They got the job done in a timely fashion with great service. Thanks a lot Peachtree
The movers were good, polite, quick and arrived early. Outside of the billing incident, I would definitely use them again.
Peachtree has moved me 5 times in the past 3 years. Great job! A+ each time. And nice storage cubes too. Very clean. Hard working guys. Do a great job.
Great customer service, movers showed up on time, in uniforms, wrapped everything, protected my homes new & old, no damages, everything went very smooth! Would recommend to everyone.
The movers are employed by Peachtree Movers, they are bonded and licensed. They are professional, fast, strong, friendly. Just make sure they got everything you wanted them to and double check furniture they put back together.
This was my 2nd move with Peachtree Movers. My initial contact with Peachtree Movers was Scott. He was great answering my questions and a followup call the day before the big move. The movers arrived on time and were extremely professional and courteous. I highly recommend them.
It was my 1st time to hire a moving company to move, and I contacted a few moving companies for a rate, but I decided to go with Peachtree movers, because it seemed like they were the most professional. I can say that I made a good decision, because the service was very good and I was very satisfied. If I need to hire a moving company again, I will definately be using them again!
i trust peachtree to move us all time and i know that my furniture will be very well taken care of and that it will be fast
Perfect Experience! My expectations were surpassed and my move was enjoyable. The entire process was seamless.
