GHR did fantastic work on building us an enclosed sunroom. The workmanship is superior and the room far exceeded expectations. We were having a hot tub put in at same time and Chris coordinated... with our Spa salesperson to have everything done. We love the room and highly recommend GHR for any project.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
We had our basement built by the team at Georgia Home Remodeling, this project included a mother in law suite a theater and an Iris Pub, I can tell you after all the swooing from other contractors... there was but one we considered. Chris came to us with a very detailed estimate (yes as the reviews say he is a quick talker) he laid out a scope and schedule that suited our family and came in 1500.00 below our budget. His crews for the most part spoke clearly and understood their task, as for me and my family we had a great experience!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
IF YOU LIKE YOUR MONEY AND TIME, DO NOT HAVE HIM TO GET YOUR BUSINESS. WORST EXPERIENCE WE EVER HAD WITH ANY BODY SO FAR. HE is not a trustworthy person at all. BY THE WAY, PLEASE DON'T GET TRICKED BY HIS PRESENTATIONS IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR POCKET AND YOUR TIME.
This is the same person who wrote one post below AND the one above, theres is always two sides two every story no matter who you deal with.,each person has their own perspective. we only have 3 reviews out of 99 that are negative, some people you cant please.Been in business long enough to know that..However we try are best to please everyone on every job.We are still a 5 star company, busy as can be..with lots of happy and repeat customers.

Thanks for taking time to write a review!
GHR was an absolute nightmare of a company to work with! To start off, they told me it would take 3 wks to build our screened in porch. 3 weeks turned into 9 wks. We paid a lot of money for this porch and put down a sizable amount down payment, only to find out that the materials were never ordered with that down payment and the labor that we paid for was an 18 and 21 year old. We never had a supervisor or foreman ever show up to supervise the work. We were told the foreman quit 3 days into our job and was never replaced. Our carpet was ruined, siding was taken off the side of our house, the workers left feces all over our guest bathroom, our tools were used, tools were left on the brand new carpet...and they failed 2 county inspections!! I asked for a paid receipt for my accountant and was told they don't send one. Really?? Totally Unprofessional! I asked him for the receipts for the materials and he flat out told me no and told my husband that they have spent too much time on our project and didn’t have time for us anymore….ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! We just paid them to get them out of our lives! You call that customer service? HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE!!! I never write reviews, but I felt that it was my duty to warn other potential customers of GA HOME REMODELING not to fall for the sales pitch and promises
Its amazing how two people can not see eye to eye. She is right the job took way too long because unfortunately we had a Foreman leave the job,and we did not meet our time frame we indicated to her. However we meet all her request, corrected any issues she asked us too, and we passed the final inspection, the two inspections we failed were MINOR infractions.. the code book is like the tax book and some inspectors are more picky than others. All the rest of the items are VERY over exaggerated as most people say when they are frustrated and we understand that.We are sorry for any inconvenience we caused her.. We are still A 5 star company with a great reputation as the other 90ish reviews show.We have been on Kudzu 5 years and only have maybe 5 bad reviews and with the amount of jobs we do that's as good as we can do... because we make mistakes and we are not perfect However we try to please each one of our customers with respect while they are entitled to their opinion,We simply try our best and go the distance and hope our customers are satisfied.
I contacted GHR to jump in and complete some last minute repairs for an out-of-town client before their new tenant moved-in. They were prompt and thorough and best yet, affordable and reliable. Thanks for your hard work!
I love Georgia Home Remodeling. They have done several jobs for me over the last few years and always do a fantastic job. This week they sheet rocked and finished my great room and fixed a leak in my chimney. They got the job done in a timely manner, as always and it looks great. I highly recommend working with Georgia Home Remodeling!
Georgia Home Remodeling is a great company. They were so easy to work with. They worked around my crazy schedule and came out to quote the work I needed, which was to replace my back window frame with PVC so that it would not have to been done again, on the day I needed them to. They then came back to repair the back window within a few days, they offered to even do it the next day but that didn’t work with my schedule so they waited until I was ready. Great company that does great work fast!!! Highly recommended!
We had GHR come out to replace the subfloor and tub in a bathroom, as well as the ceiling in the room below, due to water damage. GHR's team did excellent work, and we are very please with the speed and quality of the work performed. Not only did they clean up every bit of scrap afterwards, they swept the room and wiped down the appliances. The team even moved their lunch break around so our daughters could take a nap. I will definitely be hiring them for other projects on our list, as well as recommending them to friends.
Thanks For the Review!
Chris was very thorough and even sent out another guy to double check his measurements for our new counter tops. The guys that installed the counter tops were very great and wanted to make sure it was right before they left. I'm very detailed and they were happy to cater to my requests!
GHR was early for the initial review of the project. GHR spent time with us going over our goals and objectives for the project, while walking us through the process. GHR created a detailed plan that included an engineer’s report that beat all previous addition quotes by 20%. The crew was on time everyday and gave us daily updates. GHR’s professionalism was seen in the following areas: 1) respect given to my wife and three kids while I was at work; 2) daily clean-up of work area; 3) care given to home during the construction process; 4) crew’s understanding of county/state building codes and construction techniques. The county inspector was impressed with the detailed plans and craftsmanship during each of the three inspections. I was told by the hardwood floor designer that the antique/distressed style hardwood floors being installed should only be installed by an experienced hardwood installer. GHR’s plan for the hardwood floors install fully exceeded the designer’s expectations for the installation. Needless to say, the finished hardwood floors more than met the plan’s objectives. GHR also designed and constructed 20 custom built-in shelves for the room. The built-in shelves were measured and fitted to the exact dimensions there plans called for. I had to go through my HOA to add a window for the addition. GHR’s window size and style was easily approved by my HOA’s Architectural Review Board. GHR finished the project early. I would highly recommend GHR.
Thanks scott, hope your kids enjoy the bonus room, maybe u can get some quite time now....
I Contacted GHR to come out and replace the siding on my house, Paint the entire exterior of the house and replace the roof. When Chris Came to the house to give me the estimate he was very nice, showed up on time and explained everything in detail. When it came time to get the job done i was Very pleased with things. The workers showed up on time and they were very friendly and polite. Overall when the job was done it looked amazing and they cleaned up every bit of trash! I would recommend GHR to everyone!
Glad you had a good Experience with us!
I should say Chris has such great presentation skills, offcourse for being in this kinda business for awhile, that he could make you think he is the only contractor in the world, with 93 positive reviews. However, he is the WORST MAN you could rely on his words and promises. The work turned out to be done 2 months later than what it was promised originally, with an average quality.I could have hired somebody else to finish the same work for alot cheaper and atleast ONTIME.. Customer is always customer, no matter what, the service provider HAS TO SATISFY the customers' needs not to sit there and try to convince their lack of efficiencies and make up unspoken hidden fees. A 5 star company with hundreds of successful thousand-dollars projects would not have to explain their negative reviews on this website, if they weren't true.. I would not trust this man to do any of jobs for me and either of my friends anymore, as I see how many of his OWN employees are unhappy and unsatisfied with his promises of paying them THEIR OWN MONEY AND SALARIES. AND REMEMBER: If there are only positive and satisfactory comments about somebody, there should be something wrong because people have different personalities and attitudes when it comes to business. NO WAY THAT SOME COMPANY COULD BE THIS MUCH TRUSTWORTHY TO ONLY AND ONLY HAVE POSITIVE REVIEWS.
This is the same person again that wrote the two negative reviews below . soosoo, crook busters, and cookie lovers are the same customer, sorry they had a horrible experience. However GHR always tries to please everyone as any company would, again sorry for their bad experience.
I had Chris come out to give me an estimate for work to done on my front steps and entry door. Chris showed up on time when he said he would. I wasn't sure to what extent, how much work was needed to bring stairs and door back to life. Chris showed me how one of the projects wasn't as bad as it looked.Money saved! Not many contractors these days will take the honest approach he did. It's a nice quality to consider if you are looking for a GC. The work was completed in 1 day just like I was promised. The Crew was friendly and explained certain things as they progressed. I am completely satisfied with the work that Georgia Home Remodeling did for us. Not sure who Cookie person was reviewing but I'd be shocked if it was Chris and his crew. Just doesn't fit the bill.
I don't recommend Chris at all. Please do not get tricked by the reviews here or his detailed estimate. Do your homework before trusting him. 1. He is very fast talker. Be mindful about his detailed estimate. 2. His estimate was around 8 to 9 thousand dollars more than average contractors for our basement finishing project. 3. His charges of adding wanted items to the original contract was very high. 4. He finished the job 2 months after the deadline expressed in the contract. 5. We received threatening letters from his suppliers and subs not being paid by him and putting lien against the property. 6. The subcontractors and workers were not happy with him for pay. In bottom line, we don't recommend him for any big project if you do care about your money, time. He was a disaster for us with lots of hassle.
This is the same person who wrote the two negative reviews above, again ,We are very sorry that this person has been so called "tricked into using us" however we tried our best to keep them happy and was not able too, and we are sorry for that.I dont believe any company could have,GHR will never go into details on any website relating to any client of ours.We completed the work , was paid in full, and they have a beautiful basement with a nice kitchen and bathroom, the inspectors even commented on how nice it was, we agreed, our client doesnt and we are sorry for that. His Friend that recommended him loves his basement we finished for him in fact have just been called back to do another repair for him ,and you know he was happy too..again
We contracting with Georgia Home Remodeling to replace a second story deck for us. From demolition to rebuilding, the work was completed timely and professionally. The workers were very friendly and respectful. I plan to have them complete other projects in my house in the future.
Thank you, we try hard.. hope you enjoy your deck
