Creating Space Inc., Basements

We had our basement finished at the end of 2012 and was completed in early 2013. Todd quickly realized that our basement could be "opened up" more and we couldn't be happier with his design recommendations for our kitchen. It was also very reassuring for us to see how strong his relationships were with his sub-contractors. Each sub that came to our house was just as courteous and helful as Todd. Lastly, to prove the integrity of Todd and Creating Space, we had a small faucet leak about a month after final job completion. Todd called me right back and had it fixed ASAP! We HIGHLY recommend that you obtain a proposal from Creating Space when completing your due diligence. We plan to contact Todd again when we are ready for our master bathroom renovation!

The guys at Creating Space are very friendly and knowledgable about designing all types of basements. They can tell you exactly what you are working with in terms of structure and provide multiple options around creating a finished product that works with your home. The most impressive thing was flexibility as I had some things come up during the project that forced us off the standard schedule. They were very accomodating, we completed the project in a way that worked best for me and I have a finished basement that I am very happy with.

We just had a remodel done with Todd and his team and are thrilled with the results. It's been very nice to have someone who is coordinating the efforts and making things happen smoothly and quickly. Would wholeheartedly recommend them.

This is a long overdue review of a basement finishing project that Creating Space completed for us in July 2012. I wanted to wait awhile to make sure that there were no quality issues with the project in the first few months of its use. I can say now that we are unequivocally happy with the work that Todd and his crew did and really love our basement.

We interviewed 5 contractors before hiring Todd to finish our half basement. The most important factors to us were confidence in the contractor's ability to meet budget and schedule goals.

Also important was the contractor's vision for the space. As the space was completely unfinished and not stubbed for a bathroom, we were relying on contractors to give us a vision of how they would complete the space. Because Todd specializes in basements, we felt most comfortable with his vision of the space (adapted for our specific needs) and his ability to execute on the plan.

Once work kicked off in May 2012 it proceeded according to the schedule we had been provided and was completed as expected. The outcome is fantastic. We have a great living space that we use everyday. The craftsmanship is solid. In particular, the custom wet bar designed by Todd's cabinetmaker is the centerpiece of the space and draws rave comments anytime family or a neighbor visits.

Todd provides certainty as to cost in the contract and the only overages we had were changes we made along the way.

Todd did a fantastic job with our project.

We used Creating Space after a referral from a neighbor and we could not be happier with the result! We got exactly what we wanted and we now have a basement that blends in with the other floors of the house. Communication with Todd was fantastic - there was never a time he didn't get back to me quickly. Bottom line: quality was unbeatable
