We had our kitchen cabinets refaced. The quality of the material was excellent, the installers great. When this owner says you must be satisfied, he really means it. We have never been more satisfied with work done in our home.
We took this kitchen from a very dated white painted look to a modern design, in a very light stained Maple. It is hardly darker than a clear coat, but stained just enough to make the pretty wood grain stand out. If you look closely at the corner area in the before photo, and then look at the after photo, you can see where we combined 6 of their original cabinet doors into 3 new doors. This eliminated the top row of very small doors. There were actually 12 doors combined into 6 new taller doors in this project, but only 1/2 of them are visible in these photos. Not only do the taller doors provide more modern look, but that top row of tiny doors, also saves a good bit of money. There are significant fixed costs per door in a refacing job, and those fixed costs don't change no matter how small the doors are. We also replaced their drawers with new maple drawer boxes on soft close glides, and provided four full extension pull out shelves in their base cabinets.

Check out the photos in the album Before and After to see this job. When we started, the cabinets were a pretty sad example of cheap builder grade MDF doors, wrapped in Rigid Thermofoil (RTF) which was splitting and coming off in some places. The customers elected to have us reface with new solid Maple doors and drawer fronts, and use our 1/4" milled maple facings on their cabinet boxes instead of thin wood laminate. The results speak for themselves!
Our recent experience with cabinet refacing using Reface Cabinets was great! All personnel that we dealt with were professional, all appointment times were promptly kept and the quality of the workmanship and product were excellent. There were a few adjustments that needed to be made to some of the cabinet hardware after installation and the company did not disappoint - they were there promptly the next day and made all requested adjustments. We highly recommend this company!
This was another pretty Antique Glaze refacing job.As soon as the customer's get their new back splash installed, we will go take some after photos and get them posted.
I didnít know how confusing refacing cabinets could be until I started getting quotes for the service. I was overwhelmed initially at the cost and the limited options that I was given. Reface Cabinets was my 5th quote and they came in with all the answers I was looking for. They laid out all of my options and I was able to select a more affordable option for my budget. I was very impressed with their knowledge and expertise on cabinetry. They were also great in helping me select a stain that would match my granite countertops. The whole process from start to finish was seamless and I truly love my new cabinets!
This was an interesting job in that this customer had us make up a new stain which really turned out beautiful. Probably about half of our customers have us do a custom color or stain and we do not charge extra for doing so. A lot of times we can reuse the existing drawer boxes but not here, so we supplied new ones. The new drawer boxes were mounted on Blum BluMotion under-mount glides, which we believe to be the best quality available. Our position in the market is to provide a good value while using the best quality material, components, and finishes.
Just recently purchased a home and did some remodeling. I did my homework and checked KUDZU for reviews on most every contractor I hired. I interviewed 3 Cabinet Refacing contractors and decided on this company. They were competitive in price and offered more options. As it turned out I wish the rest of the subs I hired were as good as these guys. From the saleman Dennis who initially came out, to the installers Bill and Dianne, it was a great experience. Always communicated well, returned calls, showed up when they said they would and completed in less time than quoted. I have nothing but rave reviews for Reface Cabinets LLC! I love my new kitchen!
The finish the customers chose was a very pretty antique white glaze with a sand through effect. Will post some pictures of it in the gallery. Anyway, it made an incredible change from the dated looking kitchen they started out with. They bring up a great point about our signature refacing product. We do not need to use outside corner moldings when we reface cabinets, because the facing material we use, is milled from actual Maple or Cherry lumber. It costs more than cutting up strips of plywood, or some thin laminate, that most of our competitors use to do the cabinet faces with, but our milled facing material finishes just as good on the edge as it does on the front side. Because of this, outside corner moldings aren't needed on the cabinets. So our process avoids spoiling the lines of the cabinets with moldings which don't look like they belong.
We're very pleased with both the result of the refacing and the work of the reface cabinets team. The team were friendly and profrssional and the cabinets look great.
This project was another one where the customers elected to use real cherry (most folks have us work in maple) for their refacing. And it really made a dramatic difference in their kitchen. There are two photos posted - under "builder white to cherry" showing before and after, from the same angle. The detail in Cherry grain is beautiful, although it does cost more than maple. We can stain maple to any color, but the only way to have that cherry grain is to to work with the real thing.
After deciding to upgrade our kitchen cabinets we went through a very thorough evaluation. We interviewed several companies both big and small. We also checked references. Ultimately we chose to work with Dennis and Reface Cabinets. It ended up to be a great decision. Our kitchen looks beautiful. Bill and Dianne are true craftsman. They take pride in their work and are great to work with. We have had a lot of work done in our home and without question Reface has been the best. We highly recommend them.
This project involved refacing a previously hand brushed glaze finish in a very large kitchen. We refaced most of the kitchen in an antique white with a clean glaze. The exception was, the customers had us reface one of the two islands, in a contrasting stain on natural cherry. Check out the before and after photos of the cherry island. Very fancy with carved solid cherry corbels. They also had us replace all their old drawer boxes with new maple drawer boxes, which we provided on lifetime warranty soft close glides.
My overall experience with Reface Cabinets was very good - They were very patient while we explored many different cabinet alternatives and acted very much in a consultative nature. We went from a standard builder grade white to a maple reface - Dennis was very responsive to questions and pricing alternatives. We were impressed with the actual work performed by Bill. He was on time, friendly, and always considerate about leaving a clean working environment. I would recommend Reface Cabinet to anyone looking for a "rip and replace" alternative.
We see lots of builder white kitchens that folks want updated as they start showing problems. This kitchen had painted white MDF doors and drawer fronts which were starting to swell in locations near the sink and dishwasher. We looked a lots of alternatives in Maple, Cherry, and Antique Glaze. In the end the customers settled on rich brown stain the had us implement in Maple. You can see the photos from this job in our Kudzu Gallery - three photos "Builder White to Winchester Brown"
After evaluating 4-5 options, we hired Reface Cabinets to reface our kitchen cabinets and we were very pleased with the results. Few things worth mentioning - 1. The entire process was explained well in advance. Different styles, Upgrade options, their benefits/pricing etc were clearly explained by Dennis. Overall, their pricing was competitive compared to big brand names. 2. The craftsmanship was excellent. No shortcuts were taken. All the material used (wood, hinges, rails etc) was of superior quality. 3. The team (Dennis and Bill) were very professional and pleasant to work with. Overall, I noticed that they take pride in what they do and would go an extra mile to make sure that they meet their commitment. Would highly recommend them !
These customers had a very outdated looking light wood stained kitchen, which they had us reface in our Colonial Cherry stain. Unlike most of the kitchens we see the drawer boxes and glides were not in good condition so in addition to the solid hardwood refacing, we supplied new Maple drawer boxes on heavy duty Accuride drawer glides, which carry a lifetime manufacturer's warranty. Photos from this job are posted in the Gallery in a series of 4 photos with "MJ Colonial Cherry" in the photo names. In particular the photo After Photo3 is a very impressive shot, which the customer took after our camera malfunctioned.
Reface Cabinets updated our 50 year old kitchen and brought it into the 21st century. The work was performed per our contract and the results were amazing - even better than expected. The soft close doors and new drawers made all the difference. We are very pleased.
My kitchen was dark wood, and with no windows, it felt like a cave. I wanted to lighten it up so I called Sally. She was very thorough & kind, and within 2 weeks I have an antique white beautiful kitchen! Love it!
When we bought our house, it had Granite counter tops but the cabinets basic veneer ones. We shopped around a lot to find what options we had to upgrade them. My wife saw Reface Cabinets' ad and asked them to come by and explain thier process. We then had Sears and a few others give us a quote and explain their reface process. In most cases we were either ending up with a huge price tag or a very low qaulity reface material. We decided to use Reface Cabinets. They provided the best quality material at a very reasonable price. The before and after picures of the kitchen simply look amazing. Everytime we walk into our Kitchen, we can't help but admire the quality of work and the finish. The best thing I liked about Reface Cabinets was that their team(Ken, Judy and Jonothan) was extremly meticulous and thorough in their work. At no time did it seem that they were rushing the job. The result was a remarkable job and we were glad to have chosen Reface Cabinets LLC. We strongly reccomend their services to anyone out there looking for a reface job.
This job was a pretty large one, with a big kitchen including an island, plus two bathrooms to be refaced. That added up to a lot of doors and drawer fronts, plus we replaced their 18 kitchen drawer boxes. I believe we would have gotten 5 Stars on Service, instead of 4 Stars if the job hadn't taken longer than it should have. We caught a couple of out of spec drawer fronts and one door we needed to have remade just before installing them, and then two pieces came back from being remade with the stain not quite a perfect match to the rest of the kitchen, so we had do those two over again. The customer was patient and as indicted above, very happy with their job, but as anyone would, they wanted their project done when it should have been finished. Project delays because of last minute discoveries of material problems are not the way Reface Cabinets runs its business. We have procedures in place to minimize the chance of out of spec materials getting to the job, and they are reviewed and improved regularly. http://refacecabinets.biz
We signed up with Reface Cabinets to reface our ratty looking builder grade cabinets. They were white and the doors were covered in some plastic like stuff which was starting to come off. We really wanted wood cabinets and when the consultant came out to show us their options we were impressed that Reface Cabinets uses real 1/4" thick hardwood to reface the existing cabinet boxes. The other folks we'd talked with either used a fabric thin wood veneer, or wanted to wrap the old cabinets in that same Thermofoil stuff which was peeling off our doors. We chose to have our cabinets refaced in maple and picked out some beautiful doors. They worked with us to exactly match our choice of stain, and supplied new crown molding along with some custom trim around the bottom of the cabinets. The job went as scheduled and the installation folks were very neat and pleasant to deal with. The bottom line is we are totally satisfied with our beautiful cabinets. Highly recommend these folks.
We see this issue of peeling and splitting RTF (Rigid ThermoFoil) on the majority of our consultations. What is amazing is that there are refacing companies out there who are actually wrapping cabinet boxes with RTF, and then installing new RTF wrapped doors and drawer fronts as their standard refacing process. Reface Cabinets LLC, does not use RTF, or even any of the thin laminate wood products such as adhesive backed peel and stick veneer. Our place in the market is to offer a great value on top quality work. Whether you are looking for a stained finish on Maple, Cherry, or a solid color with a Glaze, you just can't beat real hardwood. http://refacecabinets.biz
My kitchen cabinets were literally falling off their hinges so I needed to reface them as well as wanted to have a beautiful kitchen. Reface Cabinets came to the rescue! After having a shocking estimate of over 10K from Home Depot for a small kitchen like mine I thought I could never afford the beautiful kitchen I ended up with. Reface Cabinets provided a better quality product at a substancially lower price. The solid wood refacing made my kitchen look fantastic. The people that did the install were easy to work with and did a quality job paying attention to every little detail. I highly recommend this company!
This customer's job is a good example of why you don't have to tear out your old cabinet boxes even when they aren't in very good condition. Our process at Reface Cabinets LLC, is way different from thin laminate refacing. We bond 1/4" of solid hardwood to the exterior of the old cabinet boxes, before we put on new doors and drawer fronts. We guarantee that your cabinet job will be solid and free from defects in workmanship and materials for ten years. And we use the best hinges and drawer glides too. We are all about delivering great value on top quality work. http://refacecabinets.biz
