Very Disappointed, 11/25/2014

I chose the Pink Plumber because I heard them advertised on a station I deem to be reputable & they give back to charity. I called because of a leak in my bathroom. The employee showed up, tested... the pressure on my water heater and told me right away that I needed a new pressure regulator. He walked into my bathroom, looked at the two leaky faucets and without touching them, told me they needed to be replaced. He gave me a quote for almost $1400 to replace the regulator and the two faucets. When I asked what the pressure reading was, he told me he couldn't really get one because of the leak. Although I was very shocked at the prices, I asked to schedule the repairs for the following weekend. I was told I would need to pay some money up front so they could buy the parts for the faucets. I had intended to get a second opinion during that time because the prices seemed so high and if the 2nd estimate was in line with the 1st, I would proceed. Once I was told I had to pay some money up front for them to buy the parts, I was completely turned off. I had already been getting a feeling of pressure to make a committment that day and after the ask for money down, we decided to part ways for the $45 trip charge. I called another plumber who tried to fix the leaky faucets before determining the parts needed to be replaced. They fixed the faucets for parts and labor totaling $100. No pressure regulator needed. Very disappointed in my experience with the Pink Plumber

A Biz that Gives Back to Breast Cancer Awareness, 11/21/2014

I really appreciate this company. They were very professional, answered any questions we had prior to doing the work. The men did a step by step analysis by showing us through the use of their... camera what problems they saw prior to doing any kind of work. The cost of waiting longer would have presented a major backup of our septic system. The company had an in-house payment plan which was very helpful to our budget. They included in their price a cleaner to add to our septic system once the job was completed. Overall we were very happy with this company and they were hundreds of dollars cheaper than any other companies' quotes.

These Guys are Great

1st time having a septic tank started hearing gurgling noises when the toilets were flushed I've lived here 15 years didnít know it should be cleaned. I thought that the sewer line was stopped up maybe one of the kids flushed something. I talked to John. He recommended that I get the septic tank cleaned and the house line cleared, but told me the choice was mine if I wanted a plumber to come out instead it was up to me. Since it had never been pumped he felt that a plumber was not the best option. He was right Frank L and Frank F came out dug up the tank and the water started coming out after the first scoop from their tractor. What a mess but they got me fixed up and put me on a reminder list to call me in 3 years and let me know it is close to time to service it again and this service is free. How great is that, Aames will always be my guys!!

Most Prompt, effecient and Friendly

I had a septic tank back up three days before I was going in for major surgery. A friend told me they heard good things about the Pink Plumber so I called them. They were out that same day (in 29 degree weather) and worked past dark to get the waste water out. Then they worked all day the next to finish the project neatly. Greg Austin and Anthony Bashir, had the most amazing work ethic, very pleasant, knowledgeable and very helpful. I will definitely refer them to anyone needed plumber service.

Best Plumbing Experience Ever!

Jack Garland, plumber extraordinaire! He is professional, knowledgeable, and a perfectionist! From the first call into their office, up to and including the completion of the work ... All facets of this transaction were great. The arrival timeframe was precise; the quote for the service and the anticipated amount of time to finish the job were letter perfect! Don't forget to login and show the plumber their $50.00 coupon? Look no further! You've landed where you need to be! Very satisfied customer, L. D. Tanner Atlanta, GA

Great service and ON TIME!

Great service! Office folks were great and the plumber communicated well. Arrive when they said he would and clearly communicated the issue and what it would take to solve the problem. Had to request more equipment and a second person to correct the problem. Gave timely up dates and stayed till the problem was solve. Was not as costly as expected and corrected the price down to reflect the new new cost. He could have charged the original price and we certainly would not have known.

Very Professional and Nice

Needed septic tank emptied and Jody and his partner were here actually 2.5 hours before their scheduled time which was nice because it took them a few hours to empty tank and put in a new leech line that they discovered was collapsed and completely gone. Way over what we were expecting to pay BUT that's our fault for not doing it sooner. Really liked them and will definitely use them every 3-5 years to come. Thank you!!!

Very satisfy

I used the service for my septic tank and I was very satisfy with service that I received from Nick and Adam. They did a great job and it was done in a timely manner. They explain everything to me and gave me the total before it was started so there would be no surprise. Thanks Pink Plumber. Benny H

Great job overall

I recently called Pink Plumber after discovering on a prior visit that my water pressure was not being regulated properly by my pressure regulating valve...it was dangerously high and would have caused more leaks in future. Steve came out and fixed it quickly! Also very reasonably priced. I will use this company + Steve in future if needed.

High Quality Plumbing Work Delivered Quickly

Had a toilet fail and needed it repaired quickly. James (Master Plumber) looked over the situation and started to rebuild the toilet. He found that the old toilet had a crack in the tank and that it needed to be replaced. During the investigation he found the water pressure was too high because of a bad regulator. The cost of the work seemed middle to high but the job was done with high quality and we are totally satisfied. Thanks

Good Plumber - Will Use Again

Saw the reviews and asked for an estimate to replace the PRV. We had bought the new valve ourselves, and only needed the old one removed and the new one installed. Although the price was high, I found a coupon on their website for $50 off, so that helped some. Steve was our service guy and did a good job. The service man was very nice and explained things to me. I will use them again, if plumbing work is needed.

Do Not Trust Pink Plumber

The Pink Plumber I wish that I had read this review before having The Pink Plumber come out. They advertised a $199 septic tank cleaning special. Before they even had the lid off they were telling me that I need a new septic system for $3,800 - 4,500. I work for a General Contractor & asked the man to explain all of his jargon to my boss (over the phone). My boss said that they were just trying to sell their new systems. So I told Nick Bryant that I don't want or need a new system (it has been working fine, just time to clean it) Then he called me back & said that he needs to jet the field lines for $2,764. I had never heard of jetting field lines, (I used to work for a plumbing co.) so I called our regular plumber, who had also never heard of jetting field lines. He suggested that I call a friend of his in septic work in another city. Those plumbers laughed & said that it was the 1st they had heard of it, that there was no where to jet the field lines to & that they were too small to be jetted & that they had also heard all kinds of complaints about the Pink Plumber. So, after after asking The Pink Plumber to just pump out the tank, my bill ended up being almost $650! They charged me an additional $288 to dig until they could get to the tank, to lift the lid off. I chose the Pink Plumber because I thought that they give to Cancer research, so they must be good guys. I was very mistaken. I agree with a fellow reviewer - Buyer Beware!

The Pink Plumber replied on 09-17-2014

The advertised price stated to the customer is $195, not $199. The customer is informed at the time they make the appointment that the price includes 18" digging, 6" of sludge/solids and 75 ft of vacuum hose. The state of GA and local county health departments recommend that a tank is pumped every 3- 5.years. The reason the price increased in this case from $195 is because the tank was more than 18" in depth and there was 3 feet of additional solids. The technician covered this with the customer prior to doing any work and they approved the charges. Upon discovering the amount of solids in the tank, the technician asked the customer when the last time it was pumped. They replied that they had lived in the house since 1998 and it had not been pumped in at least that long. Once the tank was pumped, the tech was able to evaluate the system. All of our techs go through testing and continuous education required by the state. The technician is required to educate the customer on any deficiencies they may have with their system per code. The technician informed this customer that prior solids had exited the tank into the field lines causing gases generated in the field to ventilate into the rear of the tank which decayed the outlet baffle tee (per code should be replaced) Recommendations to service the field lines were discussed with the customers boss over the phone. The opinions of a friend and/or the plumbers is irrelevant as they were not present and appear not to be too knowledgable in this subject. The fact they are not familiar with jetting and can determine the field lines are too small would suggest this. The Health department oversees construction and installation according to the permit they issue. We would like to say that the cost of our service in this case is cheaper than if the owner serviced the tank as is recommended. Should they choose to wait another 16+ years then they can expect to incur higher costs than someone else who does not neglect their system. Also know that a failed system can be an environmental health violation.
