Really stands out compared to other dealers Ive been to. Plenty of cars in the lot with the knowledge to explain each one. Not too pushy when it comes to business, very nice and kind hearted people.... Prices are very reasonable for the lease I was interested in a few weeks back. Today Gossett ran an ad on their home page advertising a new Tiguan for $15,895. It was for a basic stick shift car that stickered for $23,895. On their website was the calculation of a VW discount of $4,000 for a stick shift Tiguan S, and another $4,000 off if you buy by Monday March 12 (today being March 9th). We went to the dealership, found the specific car by VIN, and asked the sales person, Kathy, to open it for us. Walking out she said the car was on sale for $19,895, to which we disagreed and showed their website on our iPhone. Note: not only was it the leading ad, when we checked their inventory it showed the same pricing there, and when we listed all Tiguans it showed the same price along with the discount coupons. Cathy went immediately to the sales manager and returned saying it was a mistake and that 'someone else enters that for us." We don't believe them. In any business, when you publish a price, it is the offer of a contract. If you are too sloppy with your processes that you don't review sales prices before they hit the public domain, you are stupid and it will cost you if anyone (us) wants to buy at that price. Cathy's excuse was that there are disclaimers on their website that say they are not responsible for mistakes. Funny, I couldn't find them when we looked later. We did find the disclaimer that says the price did not include taxes, tag, title and other dealer fees. But no disclaimer that the price can be wrong and they aren't responsible. Avoid them!
We went to the dealership on Friday 1/20/2012 to look at a used 2008 EOS LUX (Thunder Blue). The first thing we noticed is that the car windows were coated in condensation. It was explained that the water was from a recent carpet shampooing. Since we researched the car before going to the dealership, we knew that the hard top requires special maintenance with regular applications of Krytox to protect the seals and not allow water to enter the car. We could tell by looking at the car it was clear that the top had not been treated and water was leaking into the car. Further inspection showed that the car's floor mats in the trunk were covered in mold. Additional issues noted with the car, showed that leather was peeling away due to water damage, broken rear tail lamp and a cracked side reflector. We also looked at some of the other cars on the lot and noted similar issues on all of them from showing water damage due the top leaking. All of the car's were Certified Pre-Owned as well. While the staff was friendly, it was a poor experience.

Copy of e-mail we sent to Gossett: This is very disappointing but I half-expected this might happen. When we received the window sticker, I pointed out to Silvia that it had Dealer Stock Status: Sold across the top. She said this was normal to hold the vehicle for us. Next, when Lauren and I came in Thursday evening to fill out all the paperwork, Jeff was very adamant not to put in the VIN # or stock # on any of the legal paperwork. We really did not want to sign the documents in that condition but Jeff assured us that there would be no problems. Lastly, we had a very difficult time getting anyone at Gossett to tell us the delivery date. We have bought over 50 company vehicles from numerous dealers over the span of 17 years. We have never had any problems such as the one that occurred with the "purchase" of this car. My theory is that this vehicle was never available for purchase (as Jim Ellis told us when they did a sweep of all VW dealers for this particular car and could not find one available for sale). We spent a great deal of wasted time on this as well as a trip to your dealership where we spent over 2 hours filling out pointless forms. We will be dealing with another VW dealer from this point forward.
Visiting Gossett VW on a Saturday upon the personal recommendation of a neighbor, I saw a new VW Jetta that struck my fancy. The salesmen said he would 'hold' it for me until Monday with a $1,000.00 deposit. After 5 hours at the dealership, we were tired and ready to leave. We also signed some purchase papers prematurely (shame on us.) Sunday morn, I realized in a panic that I had made an emotional decision and e-mailed and phoned the salesman. He informed me that we "bought the car" since we had "signed the papers." Not too happy, we visited the dealership first thing Monday morn and spoke with the Controller (Mr Meisemann) who could not have been more polite and professional. Since we had not yet taken possession of the Jetta, he instructed the business manager to credit our VISA. The credit appeared in 5 days. If I were to purchase a VW or a Bentley (in my dreams!) I would not hesitate to do business with Gossett.
I leased an 06 Passat here with phenomenally good terms, and aside from an inconvenience factor of having to drive from Midtown, Gossett's service dept. (Aaron) has always been courteous, honest and reliable. I've had no huge shocker bills, and the work has been done as promised. I'm negotiating now on an '09 CC. Anthony and Clarence have been very pleasant and professional. They do not phone constantly or send multiple blast emails unlike other VW dealerships in Atlanta, so if we can get the numbers as I wish, I will be dealing with Gossett again.
I went to trade in my 3 series BMW for a jetta or Passat and they said the only car they could put me in was a toureg for 509 a month for 72 months total amount financed for 2005 toureg was 36,000. This dealership took adavantage of me in every possible way being a young 24 year old female. The deal they put me in has made it extremely difficult to get out. I went back the next day after purchasing the car and had buyers remorse and they wouldn't give me my bmw back they said it was gone and told me to come back Monday and then they lied to both me and my father that they would get me into something more practical. The worst part of the deal was the GM. He is the rudest pearson I have ever met in my life. He doesn't have a heart at all and is goal in life is to make unethical sales in order to make money. Its not all about money.. I never felt comfortable at this dealership at all. If your a female never step into this dealership without your boyfriend, husband or friend because you will get screwed. I didn't understand the contract or the negative equity and they are horrible at explaining things. They for sure don't have my best interests at heart. If they don't assist me in getting out of this deal then I will have a family attorney get involved because this is ridiculous a majority of dealers in this state said they would have unwound the deal. Don't enter this dealership they will just screw you over!!!!
We recently had a recall on a 2005 Beetle. Aynsley was our contact person and we could not be more pleased. Our work was done before it was promised and our experience was totally positive.
I am a sucker for any place that sells shiny new VWs! However, I had a horrible experience with their shop. I took my car in for several nagging issues. However, there were two things that this shop did which were (1) dishonest and (2) outright dangerous. 1. They told me that I had a major problem with a component that did not really exist which would cost me $800 to "fix". Of course, the problem was in a place where I couldn't verify the issue myself. However, I took it to two other reputable, nationwide chains to verify the issue, and both of them told me that the component was actually working fine. 2. Once the work on my car was complete, I drove away and a couple of miles later my car ground to a halt on the interstate. Turns out one of their "certified" mechanics neglected to do a very simple part of the work which caused my car to be non-operational within a few miles. Avoid this place at all costs, except perhaps for warranty work.
Here are the facts in my experience with these guys. I took my daughters certified Jetta in for an oil change the Friday after Thanksgiving. The next day I noticed an oil spill under the car, so I call the dealer and they said it is normal. After thinking about it, I call again and demanded that then look at the car. After looking at it they told me that they fixed it and everything is within specs. My Daughter takes the car to college in Kentucky and 4 months later the oil light goes on. She take is to a dealer to a local VW dealer and they put oil in the car. I took the car to a private German car mechanic that has serviced my BMW for years, and the result was that he needed to replace the oil pan ($400 bucks) since the threads in the pan were stripped. I took the car back to Gossett and was given every excuse in the world. They took no responsibility, and personally I cannot believe how bad VW customer service is. Please feel free to contact me for any details; I have a number of items that I can share with you and would make you thing twice about VW’s.
This dealership will take steal your property, don't take your car here! I took my car to the service shop late one night. On my way home from the dealership, I realize I left my $400 phone inside. However, the dealer is already closed, so I figured I could call in the morning and let them know what happened. This is the dealership after all so I shouldn't have to worry about employees stealing my property (this is one of the reasons to pay the dealership premium). However, by the time I called early next morning, there was no sign of my phone anywhere. The employees could offer me nothing but wait to talk to the manager the next day. The manager (Dan Stone) turned out to be the rudest customer service representative I have ever dealt with. Not only did he give me NOTHING in return, he also had the nerve to tell me that if I hadn't used the word steal, he would have been more receptive to giving me a discount. This whole ordeal happened because I took my car there in the first place to fix a rattle, and on the drive home for the first time EVER, the check engine light comes on. So I take it back, and thats when the phone gets stolen. Funny coincidence that my car needs another repair which they wont claim responsibility for and steal my phone as well. Do yourself a favor, and stay away from this dealer.
