ANCHOR HOSPITAL ABUSING PATIENTS

I went to anchor hospital because of depression and anxiety, when i first went there they said they needed to take my blood, THE NURSE SHUVED THE NEEDLE SO FAR INTO MY ARM THAT IT SHOT A DEEP PAIN all the way to my wrist that didnt go away, at night I ASKED FOR MEDICINE TO HELP ME SLEEP, I fell asleep and after that I was in a zombie state for about a week till I slowly started to come out of it WHEN I LOOKED IN THE MIRROR I LOOKED HORRIBLE, my thoughts were all still scattered and I wasnt really sure what had happened, its been a long time since I've been to Anchor and I have gotten better but I am still alot worse then I was when I went there I STILL HAVE NO MEMORY OF WHAT HAPPENED DURING THE FIRST WEEK, I am not the only one tis was happening to there, I saw many other patients walking around in the same zombie like sate, SOMEBODY NEEDS TO GO THERE AND STOP WHATEVER IS GOING ON THERE

Did the job but...

I was admitted via ER. Found the staff to be great but am still frustrated with billing. I self paid as insurance didn't show me active. 10 months later I'm still sober but also still trying to get insurance worked out. Insurance company has sent paperwork etcin a timely manner but Anchor has not. Over a month ago a check was sent to Anchor for my reimbursement and I still haven't seen it. Calls are not being returned. FRUSTRATING!!...

Horrible place

Was admitted there by the ER and the staff there was not comforting at all. I can honestly say it made my condition worse. The nurses there were very cold, especially the night shift nurse. Once your in there, your trapped, they take everything from you and your family and friends that call because they concerned are told they only can call certain times, which is for an hour 9pm-10pm.
Overall HORRIBLE HORRIBLE place and your better off finding some where else because this place did me worse than better.

My Experiance

My husband was admitted to Anchor from the ER, to Detox for Substance abuse. No one from Anchor called me to even tell me he was there - I had to track him down myself, and had to be quite firm just to get any information on his status. In the 5 days he was there, I was never able to speak to a Dr. or even asked about my thoughts on his treatment program. In those five days, he was never detoxed, in fact, one of the very addictive drugs he was on, was increased. When he was discharged, they sent him out the door with a prescription for refills of two highly abusive medications.

Two weeks later he admitted himself to Ridgeview Institute, where after 10 days of wonderful care, he was able to detox. They have not only treated my husband, but made sure I was cared for as well.
