good service and a fair price, 8/20/2013

we all know how hard it can be finding a good mechanic. these guys do the job right and they have fair prices. with the current economy we all need more mechanics like this.

I will be back!, 8/05/2013

No one wants to spend money on transmission work. The guys at Mr Transmission made it less painful with honest pricing and good work. I waited a while to post to ensure I had no further issues with... my transfer case leak. Great job, no more leak! I'll be back when my transmission goes out! Hopefully not for a while...... with hone

Really Really BAD!

These people fixed my transmission by doing a complete rebuild. (It costs over $3,000) Within a week the transmission broke on the highway! I had to get a tow truck, and they didn't want to pay for that. It was their problem, apparently they built the transmission wrong. It was under warranty, but their attitude was really bad at this point. They had to spend a lot of time and money fixing their mistake. They told me to sell the car. (Probably so that I won't bring it back again with more problems.) It actually took 1 month before I got my car back! This all happened about 1 year ago. I hope they have fixed their customer service since then.

Would Not Recommend

We had our transmission replaced 13 months ago for $2,600.00. Eight months later we had to return the car for repair. Transmission still under warranty. Took 3 days. Four months later (July 26, 2013) we had to return the car again for repair. Transmission still under warranty. Mr. Transmission has had our car since July 26, 2013 and still canít tell us what is wrong with the transmission, what they are doing to resolve the problem, or when we will get our car back. We have called almost every day to ask what is the status on our car - when will our car be ready. To date, Aug 12, 2013, we donít know when our car will be repaired.

Take your car here if you don't know who to trust

I took my 2004 Toyota Avalon to Mr.Transmission of Marietta completely convinced that I had a serious transmission problem. In fact I told them I expected it need a complete rebuild. I left the car and a few hours later they called and gave me the computer code they had read and told me what the problem was, which was not transmission related. Not only did they NOT try to sell me trans work I did not need, they didn't even charge me for diagnosing the problem. Highly recommended!!

Most Honest Business in Marieta

Another transmission shop told me my transmission was slipping. Mr. Transmission did 2 test drives and found no problems. They also checked the computer and it showed no past problems. All of this at no charge. They could have taken me for some kind of repair but they did not. If ever, I need transmission work I will go to one place and one place only because they are honest and very courteous.

An Angel works there!

A HUGE shout out to the customer service and advice given to me by Tim Roos, Center Manager. I called him in a panic to get a quote last Thursday (after understanding I may be out thousands!) He calmly explained that it may not be my transmission at all but my computer and that it was a little known fact that Toyota just extended their warranty on computers to 150k (I have around 120K)They looked it over for free and suggested I take it to Toyota as it did look to be a computer issue. Toyota told me that the warranty stopped at 120k miles. I told him to research this, he did and got back to me, sure enough, it was. Long story short, if it weren't for Tim Roos advice I would have paid so much that I didn't have to. Anyone else would quickly shoo me out of the door and not given me a moments thought. Mr. Roos was so kind and helpful. There are not many people like this out there! Thank you!!!!

Excellent Follow-up Service

I had the transmission in my 03 Town & Country rebuilt a year ago and it ran like new - however, about a month ago, my engine light came on and via a check at an auto parts store, found several codes pointing to the transmission - it was puzzling because otherwise, the rebuilt transmission was still running smooth - took it back to Mr. T and to the point, they found a grounding problem that was affecting the control system, which they fixed - meanwhile, during the troubleshooting, they made some additional adjustments to the transmission itself - even though the grounding issue technically fell outside boundary of the rebuilt itself, all of the work was performed under warrenty - I will say that I was traveling and was able to leave the car for a week plus a day or two (which also saved me some parking fees) - I've driven the car about 400 miles since the repair with no engine light showing up and the transmission continues to shift good as new - for a prior minivan, I had the transmission rebuilt by shop a couple miles down the road - in all fairness to them, their rebuilt worked, but it did not operate and shift like new - it was for that reason that I tried Mr. T - I'll continue to go back to Mr. T as long as they keep doing good work and provide excellent service

Fair... but not great... and not even so fair.

For 2,700 I had my transmission replaced about 18 months ago. There were problems about a year end though fortunately the warranty had not expired. My car died yesterday and when I called the owner he said I could bring it in but it would take them half a day to run the diagnostics. He implied that it could take a day or more to get the necessary parts. Further, he failed to mention that Mr. Transmission SUPPOSEDLY offers free tows -- I only learned that later when scanning the website. Forget these guys... I took the car elsewhere. They serviced it with a smile -- and put a linkage on rightside up -- the one that Mr. T had put on upside down.

Found a place i can trust

Tim, the Mgr was especially pleasant, true to his word when followup calls were needed, and with the quoted estimate. He put me at ease and was honest. My car was ready BEFORE I expected. BTW, when I needed a ride to pick my car up...none other than Mike Cook (Owner) came to get me, got me there, and beat me to the door to open it for me. All I can say is...WOW! Great Job!

Car Issues

The front right side of my car would not turn left for some reason. So AAA recommended Mr Transmission of Marietta. They took my car in, completely swept my car for any issues throughout the entire car, and compiled all the issues for me when they did not have to. They not only fixed my car but explained all the issues to me in full detail and were very helpful. I would recommend going to this location for any issues you may have with your car. Everyone was generous, insightful, and willing to help no matter the issues.

Quick and Easy

Transmission started acting up on a rainy evening. I remembered being referred to Mr Transmission of Marietta by my regular mechanic. Drove in and got an immediate diagnostic code reading. That relieved most of my concern. Took the truck in the next morning and before noon, I not only had a firm diagnosis, but the truck was repaired and ready to be picked up. They could have taken 3-4 days and I would have understood. Lucky it was something simple, but super thankful for the quick service and accommodating attitude of Mark and others at the shop. Highly recommend!! Thanks, Mark for your help.

Very professional

I had transmission problems with my first vehicle four years ago, and after unsuccessfully trying many other places, and spending hundreds of $$, was recommended Mr Transmission of Marietta by another mechanic. For sure, they identified the problem immediately and fixed it for a very reasonable price. The car still runs great. I now have another vehicle, which also had some transmission problem - so there was no question where would i go for service. They sure are busy, but do a great job. What i also like about them is that they do not ask you to fix a lot of things that I know have nothing to do with the car issue. They also fixed two other things for free. They are very honest and reliable. I highly recommend them. David
