VERY Responsive Service, Extremely Inflated Prices
Our AC wasn't working & Snappy got out to our house w/in 2 hours of placing a call. The tech said our capacitor was the issue. We asked how much it would cost to replace the entire unit, & he looked at his price book & said: "$3400 for a 14 seer & about $3200 for a 13 seer." We decided to replace the capacitor (for $350) after hearing those #'s. (We then showed the tech our 10% off coupon). However, 20 mins. after install, he realized that the 8 yr. old unit's compressor wasn't working & needed to be replaced. He told us that the labor cost to replace the compressor would be ~$1300, so it would make more sense to replace the whole unit. I asked to get the prices he had originally quoted in writing, and he then changed his prices (explaining that Snappy had just raised their #'s this morning), quoting me $3900 for a 13 seer 2 ton Amana. I was shocked by this drastic price difference. He called Adam (the GM), & he dropped the price to $3350 total for the misquote. Adam was also helpful in getting the job started ASAP. Meanwhile, I placed a call into Casteel, to f/u on a 7 mo. old quote. They re-quoted $2719 for entire cost, w/ line set, but Trane. However, Snappy had already started the work. At the end, the tech (and Adam) said they would not honor the 10% off coupon, b/c "they were giving us such a good deal." We were upset. The tech even agreed he forgot to tell us we couldn't still use the 10% off.... UPDATE: We spoke with Adam (GM) & he refunded us the 10%

Dwlaba- I feel that this review may reflect Snappy in an unfair light so I would like to respond with a couple of points. Yes we did take the call around 7am and fit you in as a first call and when we quoted you the pricing for equipment we stood by the original price. We did increase our pricing on 16 seer equipment do to product price increases and that was reason for the misunderstanding in price. The price was agreed to before starting the job and we waived the $400 charge for the new line set because we had already changed your other HVAC system as well as your water heater. At the time our installs were running about 24 hours behind due to the heat wave, but because of your stress level and pregnancy we rescheduled the HVAC and Plumbing schedule to get it installed ASAP(same day). This involved having a Plumber pick up and deliver the equipment as well as help with the install. This is not protocol during the summer season as we have many scheduled customers with the very same dilemma of no air waiting to be serviced; the installs then bog down our service techs. This is common procedure throughout the industry as during temperature spikes put all techs working around the clock to get to all of our customers; this did create an issue with our existing schedule. As for the competitors price I do not know how quick they could have got to you, what SEER rating the quoted equipment was, if that would have included correcting the undersized line set, and if they offer a Lifetime Warranty on their products. The Lifetime Warranty can save way more than the installation difference of our competitors over the life of the system. I also believe you have experienced our 100% customer satisfaction policy already as we removed your new furnace this spring for no charge in order to get a new water heater installed. You felt that we should had informed you that the heater needed to be replaced at the time the furnace was put in because of access issues so we removed the furnace and coil at no additional charge and discounted the water heater installation. In conclusion our coupons cannot be used with any other discounts, so not charging for the line set would have voided an additional 10% off the total price. We have since updated the notes on our coupons to reflect this policy and provided you with a refund to match what would have been taken off the invoice had the coupon been accepted at the time of service. ~Adam Bunyard/General Manager~

Prepare for A Hard Sell on Other Services
I called Snappy for what I thought would be a simple lighting job in my kitchen. Little did I know that the service tech they sent out would push us to also go with their heating and air service. It was tacked onto their hefty estimate and we were told we'd end up paying even more if we didn't sign up for their heating/AC service. It was a wasted $49 for the service call. If I needed heating and air service, I would decide on that thenI didn't need the hard sell when I wanted a simple lighting job completed. They lost my business before they ever got it -- minus the 50 bucks....

We apologize if you felt you were pressured into our Home Protection Plan; this was not our intentions. You would have saved 10% off of the quoted work, Lifetime Warranties on the work, no charge for the estimate, plus additional perks from our other departments including cooling and heating tune-ups. With the 10% savings and the waived trip charge you would have almost received the agreement for a 1/3 of the price. This may have been were the confusion was with the technician seeming pushy as maybe he was not explaining properly. As for the quote our pricing is competitive with other licensed electrical companies in our market as we are neither the highest nor cheapest when it comes to price, but have to build in overhead outside of labor and material to be profitable as do all other service companies that offer the same type of services- (live operators and available service 24/7, lifetime warranties, drug tested and background approved uniformed technicians, trained call center which keep you updated with your scheduled appointments and email pictures of your technicians before they arrive, fully stock trucks, available plumbing, electrical, & HVAC service technicians, etc. etc… Again we apologize for the miscommunication and appreciate the opportunity to earn your business. ~Management~

Pipes break during January freeze 2014
Called Snappy at 6:00am. Spoke to someone who said they would have someone called and they did. Snappy(called back at 8:20am)scheduled someone would be out between 3:00pm-5:00pm 01/07/14. No one called or came out. I know they were extremely busy like the other plumbers but to schedule and not called or come out is bad business. Called them again around 6:45pm and was told they would have the manager call me. I'm still waiting and it's now 5:24am the next day. Snappy this really doesn't look good. I expected better. Next time I will know better.

We are extremely sorry for letting you down! Due to the record low temps we were flooded with calls for no heat and frozen water lines. After reviewing your account it looks like you called in just ahead of the call rush and protocol demands we take service agreement customers first. We did create a waiting list and inform customers to call around to other contractors as everyone was extremely booked. However this is no reason for the call center to drop the ball and not reach out to you to give you your options. I did call twice over the following 2 days and leave a message to discuss but never received a call back. We apologize for the bad service as we take customer service very serious and our call center is typically second to none this area. We do make mistakes and hope that we may receive another chance at earning your business at a later time. ~Adam Bunyard/ General Manager~

7 degrees in Atlanta and our heater goes out...
With no previous relationship with Snappy, this company rearranged their schedule and had someone out here in two hours on the coldest day of the year (let's hope). John was the tech and it was as though he was the owner, extremely professional and incredibly competent regarding our heater and the industry itself. He diagnosed it as frozen pipes in the attic and set it up to drain. I signed up for their service agreement for $149/year which offers an amazing deal. I have already recommended this company to my friends.

Great Service
Electrician Eddie came early and did perfect work fast. I had to cap wires out of wall over our oven and he understood the issue and talked with us on how to solve it before he did any work, giving us an estimate in advance. I would use again.
