Please proceed with caution. The Sales People and the owner are very rude and doesnt stand by their word.
The initial process was great until UCI got my money. They seemed to have no organization and I, the customer, was never contacted during the scheduling. They assumed I would be home whenever they... decided to arrive. I had to be the project manager and coordinate everything because my sales person, Sarah, did nothing after the money changed hands. If you read other reviews you'll hear the same thing about her. The cabinets were ok (not great), but the installation was crazy. They damaged my house, they damaged the new cabinets during installation, the workers couldn't figure out now to adjust the cabinet doors so they would open properly. Trim pieces were crooked leaving large gaps that were not caulked. I've contacted the management twice about the damage done and it has been weeks without any resolution offered. I've had to hire a real cabinet carpenter to adjust everything and make it look finished. The photo is of one of the new cabinets damaged by their trying to install a piece of granite that was not the correct size. It's a shame to pay that much money for cabinets and have the company installing make so many mistakes. I would never recommend UCI to anyone else.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
Horrible experience. Expect to be lied to. Expect workers who are not trained. Expect damages!!!!! I am in amazement how bad this was. Their workers didn't have drivers licenses. They damaged our home and car being sloppy. They never finished the project after they got paid. They were never on time and were caught lying time after time with no remorse.

We are very impressed with the quality of work and the dedication to exceed our expectations. I can understand why you have so many satisfied customers. The granite installed in our kitchen and bathroom looks beautiful. We will not hesitate to recommend UCI to our friends or anyone looking to install granite.
Just had a complete custom kitchen remodel with UCI. The Good: Our kitchen is gorgeous, exceeded extremely high expectations. Price was reasonable. Craftmanship/work ethic of the cabinetmaker GH Moore exceptional. Jim is a brilliant architect. Start to finish = 1 month. The Bad: We felt like the project managers. "Caught" the electrician putting extension cords in our walls - he took them out, but still. Lack of communication between UCI and the cabinetmaker regarding our selections. Told things were "comped/included" by Sarah but billed for them. Miscommunication. The UGLY: Money. Sarah kept telling us people were almost finished when they weren't, she demanded full payment (screaming at us) before the job was done; at one point we authorized a $2500 deposit for the counters and instead she ran an unauthorized charge of $7000 after spending 3 hours with us during which time she said nothing about needing more $. We threw a fit she reversed it, but we never felt like we had 100% control over payments until Jim took over the $. There were multiple invoices, everyone was a subcontractor - we would authorize Sarah to pay one invoice and it would get applied to another invoice, whoever THEY wanted to have paid. Our mantra was - "finish the job, get paid." All in all, we love our kitchen - if you use them, put all expectations in writing, double check and verify. Despite these issues, EVERYTHING resolved to our complete satisfaction and we would use them again.
The guys who uninstalled our existing counter tops, and attempted to install the new counter tops did indeed work very hard. However, they were grossly unprepared to finish the installation the first time around. They did not have braces (and actually told us that we should have provided the braces) to hold the counter top for our bar, the granite back-splash was not sized correctly and they even cracked it when installing, there were openings visible from where the back-splash was installed, and the bar top was not cut and placed together smoothly. The guys spent a significant extra amount of time attempting to install our granite, and eventually just left without letting us know they were leaving. Our kitchen was left in an unusable an d unsafe state for over 1.5 weeks. There were only two thin wooden sticks holding our bar counter-top up whereby our cat could have rubbed against any one of them at any moment to have the counter-top fall and crush her. Our faucet was not installed, and therefore we were forced to wash our dishes in our bathroom sink. My wife and I assisted in completing the installation (quality at best is a DIY project, nowhere near professional), and were charged the remaining balance without receiving a call to confirm that it was OK to submit the charge. We received threats from UCI when the transaction was declined by our CC company, and were not once taken into consideration the inconvenience we suffered. ABSOLUTELY A HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!
Stopped in at Alpharetta showroom, met Shaan and was excited about working with UCI until I went home and read some of the reviews here. However, after negotiating with Home Depot and Ikea decided to go back to UCI, and I am so happy I did. My cabinets are GORGEOUS - the craftsmanship is top notch, they worked with my schedule, were courteous and on time, cleaned up each day and the whole experience was quite a pleasant surprise. Shaan, Billy, Benjamin and his crew were all extraordinarily helpful - from customer service to the work on site - they wanted to be sure I was happy (and believe me, I had some special requests that had sent others running.) Reasonable prices, excellent craftsmanship and service. I would use UCI again as long as I could work with Shaan and Billy and their team (special kudos to Benjamin and his crew who were most accommodating and highly skilled at what they do.)Everyone exceeded my expectations and by today's service standards, that's a rarity. Extremely, extremely pleased.
UCI was so easy to work with when I needed countertops for my kitchen remodel. Their prices are very reasonable and the installation looks great. They came when scheduled, and even though there was a little miscommunication over the original install, they got right on it and it was just like I wanted within a week. Good job, UCI!
I was very hesitant on getting granite. Shaan was wonderful and very patient with me. Helping me pick out just the right color for my kitchen. It took several visits to find just the right piece. My husband is a machinist and was concerened about the installation and how the cut out for the sink would match up.. They did a wonderful job. Very professional. Shaan called several times on the day of installation to make sure everything was going well. It did, of course and I absolutely love my granite. I can't believe I waited so long to get it. Thank you for such wonderful customer service
We initially shopped at a big box store for master bath cabinets. It took a long time to obtain an estimate and it was much higher than we had planned. I felt we had wasted a month in getting started. Then we shopped several cabinet suppliers and fortunately one was United. We felt the project manager, Billy White, was experienced, knowledgeable and responsive. He gave us a estimate on our first visit that was very close to the finial after the home measurement. We were pleased with the final product and felt we received high value based on the price compared to others. We would certainly use United for cabinet and granite needs in the future.
We set an appt and had Billy come out to our house on a Thursday to measure and draw up plans for kitchen cabinets, countertops, and a bathroom vanity. I was told that he would be back in touch that Saturday or Monday at the latest. I followed up with an email and never got a response. I still have not heard back from Billy and was at our house over two weeks ago. They have never called to say that our plans are done or even to follow-up. We were prepared to spend a lot of money on these projects and I can't believe they would just disappear on us. Extremely unprofessional. Needless to say, we will be going elsewhere for our cabinets.
Company installed our kitchen cabinets and granite counter top July 2011. I will say cabinets look good. Our issue is their employee damaged our counter top and to this day 9/22/2012 we are still trying to have the company repair or replace our contertop. Their recent promise to send someone are No Call And No Show. Their customer service is quite lacking and non existant in our case.
We worked with Shaan at the Alpharetta location and he was great. We selected granite from the showroom then talked about his suggestions for a backsplash. We ended up with a design we are both very happy with. Contractors were all on-time and accomodated our schedule, and all cleaned up before leaving.
I have used Billy White @ United Corp International for the past 2 years on 4 kitchens & 2 bathrooms remodels w/ a few granite tops in between. Billy has been able to give me the professional level that I provide my clients when they look to me to fulfill their home improvement dreams. Billy has the managerial skills to design & execute the complete process where I can be assured that the client is completely satisfied. I would whole heartily recommend anyone looking to have their kitchen or bath cabinets replace to contact Billy @ UCI. John Majzun w/ Home Medic, Inc. 404.313.7334
I buy, renovate and sell houses, and use granite in all of them. Although I was pleased with the customer service provided by my previous granite company, I started thinking that their prices were too high. After an extensive search, I found UCI's pricing to be the best so decide to give them a try. Upon my first visit I met Billy White and he couldn't have been nicer. Plus, the pricing was as advertised and as I'd found with other companies, there were no 'hidden' charges added at the end. The employees are very customer service oriented and go out of their way to help you. As one employee recently told me, "We want to make you happy." I am.
