Alarm Monitoring Service of Atlanta (AMSA) is a company with that rare combination of affordable price and the very best service. A look at the Kudzu reviews and a check with the Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.org) will confirm that this is the type of company that todays consumer prefers for the protection of their home and family.
AMSA introduced the low monitoring rate of $14.95 a month back in 1995. They use only the best equipment (Honeywell) and back it with a robust two year parts.. and labor warranty. Recently named one of Atlantas Top Ten alarm companies by the Atlanta Business Chronicle and awarded Angies List top 5% Super Service Award, this company will not disappoint.
Their installation teams are very experienced and highly trained. Whether they are pre-wiring a new home under construction or retrofitting a system into an existing home you will experience a level of professionalism and attention to detail that is rare in any service industry. They receive calls and letters every month from new clients specifically to praise the technicians who performed their installation. Don't you deserve the same?

We offer paperless billing to all of our customers!
I recently had AMSA activate the alarm system in our new home. From the very first phone call to set the service up to the final installation, everyone that I spoke with was so friendly and very... helpful. Robin, in the office, was very informative about the companies products and services. She also was very quick to respond to my phone calls and emails. It's so nice to be able to have a point of contact instead of an automated system where you are transferred to any of 100 people in a call center! Josh came to our home to install and active the system. He was very professional, but also had a great sense of humor. He explained everything that he was doing and walked me through operating the system thoroughly. I would definitely recommend AMSA if you are in search of a great alarm motoring company to work with!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
I have had AMSA for almost a year now. I really do like their service. I had them call the police out twice when my dog walker set off my alarm. They were very prompt! I couldn't be reached... because I was out of town and didn't hear my phone ring. They had called the police so quickly after I didn't answer that I couldn't cancel the police in time. I really love the service at this company. I got a great deal when they were retrofitting the current alarm system I had in place, and I have a great monthly plan at $12.95. I would recommend AMSA and have to my neighborhood.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
being that they give you a discount to write a good review should be telling. After they have your business and install - you're pretty much on your own. With the cell service there is no way of telling if your system is working unless you set it off and hope they call. Not sure how long was out for and how long we paid for nothing. Anyway they then will charge you a bunch to come out and fix their faulty crap - no sorry - as they put it's - "my" faulty crap now... It's too bad they don't stand by the equipment they require you to use. Anyway - for A LOT less you can get a camera with motion detection - it emails you photos when tripped. And you can now get them with battery backup and 4G service. And anyway - by the time a monitoring service calls 911 - and they call APD - and show up over an hour later - your tv is already long gone.
First, we DO NOT pay clients to incentivize them to write good reviews, for two reasons. One, its highly unethical and two we don't need to as our reputation across all consumer sites is excellent and we work hard every day to keep it that way. Im not sure where you got that from but you were misinformed. Second, we are diligent in so many ways (how-to test card left by installer, periodic mailers, printed on every invoice) in informing our clients that they should test their systems functions on a regular basis. If a defect is discovered then you call our service department. If it is determined that there is a problem and your system is out of warranty we let you know up front what those charges should be, just like any other service company would do. Ours is the longest standard warranty in the industry. Our service rates are among the lowest. Depending on the system you have installed we use either Honeywell or Uplink cellular communicators, the best you can get. No ones been "ripped off" here. And last I hope that you don't take your own advice about a motion/camera/cell device as your home security solution. Home security is about deterrence and what drives a burglar away is a very loud siren and the knowledge that the police have been called, not a covert camera that may or may not see them in the home. That solution puts lives in danger.
When we called for our initial service setup call I wound up speaking with this company's owner. Yep-the owner. That's how close to its clients this company is. From first call to installation was only 3 business days and there was only direct, honest communication from start to finish. The installation was professional, fully tested, and we were well-trained on it before the technician left. Great job and great company overall. Also, we went entirely cell for monitoring, and that's working fine. That, and the price can't be beat.
Over the last two years my system has lost power or just stopped functioning properly. The company has never contacted me to tell me my system wasn't functioning. Safety first isn't their main concern.
99% of all typical residential alarm systems installed by all security companies that use standard phone lines to communicate have no interactive connection with the security company. They only communicate to the central station if the alarm system is activated. This means that whether the system is working fine or if its completely inoperable the security company will not know. They are passive devices that don't communicate a suspected service issue. It is always up to the homeowner to test their system regularly and to report any suspected problems to our service department.
We use AMSA at our home in Duluth and are completely satisfied with the service we get from them. Thanks for the good service
AMSA is a local company with over 7,000 clients in Atlanta. Not only are they a reputable company, but they genuinely care about their customers. What America needs right now are honest to God business owners like Glenn where he cares about his employees and customers. He's not out to rip you off like these giant corporate companies that take your money and leave you hanging. I didn't have to go through any red tape, Glenn spoke to me personally and answered all of my questions when I was still shopping. Matt came out and installed my new system yesterday, and he was the nicest guy in the world, knowledgeable, fast and was genuinely concerned about my safety. Folks, they're the best deal in town. You'd be a fool throwing money away if you went with any other security company out there.
AMSA's $12.95 service is the best deal ever! The serviceperson, Denny, was extremely knowledgeable and professional! My rental property and primary residence is serviced by AMSA
Use them for our customer built house. Did not install alarm for windows and doors on the main floor!!! They claimed the builder cut the pre-installed wires. But they are the one finished the installation!! And they did not bother to tell us. We had to found out through an unfortunate incident. Then they billed us for fixing the problem. We called to reason. They just ignored and kept sending the bill with late charges. Finally talked to the owner and he said "I don't care." What a joke!
We prewired the clients home for a security system. When the home was finished we installed the system and found a number of openings not working. Her builder admitted to our installer that his people had accidently cut some of our wires and that the area where it happened was no longer accessible. This necessitated the use of some wireless equipment which is more costly. We billed our client for the difference and suggested that she pass it along to her builder. Typically the builder will reimburse the homeowner if the builder is at fault. She refused to pay or to help us collect from the builder. After a lengthy conversation last week that occured prior to her posting her review, we ended the conversation by very clearly telling her that we would not pursue her for the costs but would instead contact the builder. Past experience tells us that this will be fruitless so we are going to absorb the cost ourselves. The quote "I don't care" never happened and never would here.
I recently had a security system installed by AMSA. Devin, the technician, did a great job with the installation and made sure that I was comfortable with the set up before he proceeded. He arrived on time and cleaned up when he was finished. Alex, the sales rep, was very friendly, thoroughly assesed my property before suggesting security solution, and did not try to upsell me. I would recommend this company.
Bid on new system was lowest, Devin, the technician, was professional and helpful at install, and price is great.
Finally, an alarm service that has great customer service and expert installation. My technician was Craig...man he knows his stuff. This is the easiest and best experience I have ever had with an alarm company. Great value...I a, telling all of my neighbors...
They only charge 12.95 a month but they expect you to pay 3 months in advance, so you end up paying 38.85 every three months. They won't allow you to pay on a monthly basis. It is annoying if you already have a monthly billing system but if you don't care about paying in advance then it won't make much of a difference to you.
Our experience over the years has shown us that because our rate is so low our clients prefer to handle it quarterly or annually and be done with it. However we understand that this may not be the preferred method for everyone. If you would like to pay monthly please contact our office and I'm sure that we can work out a solution for you.
Chip didn't BS me on the cost (moderately priced system and inexpensive monitoring), Devin was polite and informative during the installation of he equipment, and the test service center staff was great when I needed to test my system after my phone line was serviced. AMSA has been great. I highly recommend them.
My husband found this company on Kudzu and we found the ratings accurate. They are very professional, honest and very affordable. Our previous provider refused to negotiate with us when our key panels stopped working. For a fraction of what the old company wanted to charge us, we got two new key panels and a 3-year monitoring contract for $12.95 a month.
Just contracted with AMSA to provide monitoring at my home. An excellent choice. Tim was professional and straight forward. Alan arrived exactly on time and installed a new brain and keypads, and everything went as planned, no bait and switch, no hidden costs, etc. I highly recommend AMSA. Nice work, gentelmen!
Tim was very nice and helpful on the phone. The technician was professional (and on time!). Highly recommended to anyone looking for alarm monitoring!
Camal was top notch- very professional, friendly. Walked us through pricing; u could tell he was trying to give us the best deal!
